[Q] Need help 'unbricking' encrypted Nexus 9

Hey guys.
So last night I was trying to update the rom on my Nexus 9 from a 5.02 release of AICP to the latest one. I boot into TWRP and it asks me for my pass code, then I take a backup, clear the caches and try to install the rom (from the internal storage). I don't think it gave any error messages, but when I rebooted and it got to the screen where you enter the password (I'm guessing where it decrypts or something), it said something about an internal error and that I should contact the manufacturer - when I tried to put the password in it just says that settings crashed over and over.
I tried to restore the backup; as well as factory reset and install the new rom fresh; I keep getting /vendor mount issues, etc. I even tried deleting the system partition and installing the new one, still no dice.
So I'm basically dead in the water at the moment (with no OS at all haha), does anyone have experience with this or any ideas for what to do? All ideas appreciated and thanks in advance.
There may be other ways, but I would suggest booting into bootloader and fastboot flash the stock 5.1.1, factory image. Tutorial here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-9/general/guide-how-to-unlock-bootloader-flash-t3035153

[Solved] G5 stucked at encryption in progress

Hi there,
I used the LG bootloader unlock tool, and managed to install TWRP and supersu. Just followed this tuto.
All was fine, but Titanium Backup was telling me that it can't access root permissions. So I did a factory reset by TWRP. And now...
Every time I boot my phone, a warning pop on the screen :
Code:
Warning : Current version is not avaiable for user. Can't find matched cust for NT-code mcc/mnc[FFFFFF],subset[11]
Then there a title "Encryption in progress" and a button "Reinit phone", which bring me back in TWRP.
I tried to reflash the unlock.bin, TWRP, and no-verity-opt-encrypt, but nothing seems to work in order to get my phone back.
I still can access to bootloader, adb and twrp, but system won't go further than this encryption screen.
Any help is welcome.
i got the same problem :/
If you've made a stock boot partition backup in TWRP, restore that and try booting.
If you didn't, wait for someone to post one that you can restore I suppose.
It makes me wonder if it's possible to even boot the G5 without encrypted userdata. Yikes.
Just to be clear, you used [Format Data] button - NOT factory reset swipe, right? (if your userdata partition is encrypted, I'm not sure that factory reset swipe would be able to do anything)
I used TWRP Wipe option, before using no-verity-opt-encrypt. I mean the basic one, which only wipe data and cache.
Can someone send us a boot partition to flash ?
Someone find the solution here.
Many thanks to him, problem solved.

Unable to flash a ROM on HTC Desire 612

I have a HTC Desire 612 from Verizon with S-off courtesy of Sunshine and I have rooted it and unrooted it severally.
I can't use it in Kenya because of the 'non-Verizon SIM' error.
I have installed TWRP and I have used it to flash several zips, images and do several factory resets. I have even flashed a custom rom but later reverted to the stock ROM.
Yesterday the phone got stuck in a boot loop and I attempted a factory reset. The reset was successful but after powering all the data including the wallpaper and apps remained.
I then tried to wipe data and I stil got the same results. The phone powers up long enough for me to get in but I can see nothing has been erased.
Next I tried Advanced Wipe and ticked Dalvik cache, cache, system, data and internal storage and swiped to wipe. The wipe is successful but after powering the device NOTHING is lost.
Finally I tried to restore the custom ROM and it is successful as per the images attached but still I find nothing has changed.
Very finally I flashed a new TWRP image through ADB which went on successfully but the build number remained the same.
What am I doing wrong?

Twrp 3.1.0 Decrypt Data asking Password

Hi
I saw that to avoid that situation you gotta wipe data, which I don't feel like doing since I want to do a backup of my phone.
Any recommendations?

Had to sideload aurel Rom.
try rebooting
Hi,
I have a Le Max 2 and after Indian ROM I got that problem, the funny/strange thing is that if I use TWRP and reboot into recovery several times it eventually starts and seems encryption is off as it doesn't ask for the password and I can access every mount this is a stupid behaviour as it should always be encrypted...
Tried formatting both mount-points but still kept asking for the password.
Found this when I rebooted the phone into recovery and didn't see the password screen now when I need to do any installation I just use this method.
Regards,
Pedro.
I got TWRP 3.1.0 asking for password for Encrypt data. I was flashing Nexus rom and Black screen 1.7.img kernel (i might flash the wrong one img/zip)and reboot and it bootloop. So I reboot again into recovery (luckily it still there) but still asking for password. Eventually I got into TWRP and manage to restore backup from OTG, after I found out my internal storage was wipe out all data was gone. Now the phone is working normal I just lost all the stuff.
Just factory reset, worked for me.

"com.samsung.ιpservιce has stopped" spam

Hello, i have a problem with my friends phone (s6 edge). After some time it upgraded to 7.0.0 his googleapps crashed entirely, no playstore etc, so we had to restore it through the Samsung smart app -> emergency firmware etc after we took a backup of his files.
The phone was completely restored BUT after connecting to the wifi or data to connect online, the tittle message spam him all the time. Did so google research, even got to recovery to reset it again to factory but i had no luck. Custom Rom is a no-go since its still under warranty. I though of restoring it to 6.0.1 through odin but ive read thats not 100% working.
Any insights?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply.
I am afraid i have already tried that.
Wiped cache , wiped dalvic , did a factory wipe through the recovery mode. It didn't help

Try a package disable app to stop it from occurring.
