Xposed for Nougat works on Stock Roms - LG G6 Guides, News, & Discussion

Just making a new thread to let all know that the unofficial xposed for nougat works on the G6 H870 with Fulmics ROM 1.1, some modules work, others don't (amplify for example).
There is also a magisk module now, and it works too.
This is the thread for this versione of Xposed: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221/

Tried on stock us997 and bootloop.
Edit: Did a new fresh install and its now working.

With magisk system-less module in v14 causes bootloop. In magisk v13.3 it goes well but you cannot pass safetynet.

So is there no working xposed framework for the US997 version? I'm trying to figure out how to remap the hardware buttons to media controls when the screen is off and how to add press and hold functions to the navbar buttons. The only thing I know of that can do this is xposed.

[How-To]Get working A.R.I.S.E. Sound System (Root needed)

Instructions (every step is a most except the last one, only do it if Viper4Arise ask for driver installation):
If you already tried A.R.I.S.E. and didn't work first wipe system partition in TWRP, if you never tried A.R.I.S.E. you can jump this step.
- Dirty flash your current Firmware/ROM, Gapps + Vendor
- Flash latest SuperSU beta:
http://download.chainfire.eu/1021/SuperSU/SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip
- Flash latest Busybox:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298924737
- Flash A.R.I.S.E 2.2.3 patched:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=313042859668276507 (I like this version, but you can try another one) Like:
* Latest stable (2.3.3):
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=52915225786267722
Or you can search for test builds in A.R.I.S.E. thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/r-s-e-sound-systems-auditory-research-t3379709
- Flash Dolby Atmos add-on:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=312978532265371208
- Reboot, play some music, open Viper4Arise, enjoy.
* If ask for driver installation:
- Open your favorite file explorer and go to: root/vendor/etc and rename audio_effects.conf to audio_effects.conf.bak, reboot, enjoy.
*Optional
- Flash my profile:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298919634
Mirror:
http://www.mediafire.com/?65lz1j2ppov8btp
- Open Viper4Arise, swipe from left to right, save your current profile then load profile, select my profile.
Code:
* Phone Speaker is optimized for Nexus 6P.
* Headset is optimized for Sony MDR-EX110AP In-ear Headphones.
* Bluetooth is optimized for JBL Charge 2.
* USB/Dock isn't optimized because I don't have that kind of device to test.
(Obviously it can listen well on other devices, try it you don't loose anything. If you don't like it how it sounds just load your profile).
- I also use this EQ settings in Dolby Atmos:

I don't but have Viper4Arise working, pretty much doing the same thing as the OP. I use selinux mode changer. You can set it on boot.
Dolby Atmos add-on zip has a script built in that change SELinux to permissive on boot

Yes, tons of system files changed. The OP for ARISE specifically says they don't provide an uninstaller due to the number of system changes made. Have to dirty flash ROM to "uninstall" it.

I noticed it too since i installed arise. Went through different roms and the phone still got hot when playing music. On EX kernel manager it was reporting 100% CPU usage on big. Hence the hot device. To fix it, I disabled Pulse of the navbar and it didn't get hot since then. Hope this helps.

I'm rooted with SuperSU on pure Nexus...I know it's not magisk you are talking about here butt.....
When I install the Xposed sdk 25 zip.... Does it modify the boot image or anything that would make me loose root or twrp like when we flash a ROM?
What Xposed Installer do you use with this? I can't seem to get it working.

DVDAndroids, the material one.
Everything LOOKS perfect (Xposed installer says the framework is active, the modules are installed and checked) but the modules don't seem to work, and when I click on Gravitybox or Youtube AdAway or something like that it says it's not active. Anyone else have this issue or any ideas?
Edit: I'm on magisk 14.2. could that be a problem?
I'm having issues with the xposed apps seeing that it's installed. The official app doesn't see it. DVDAndroids version sees that it's installed but says to check the logs, which has little info on the issue.
Any advice on installation methods?

Uh oh.. Xposed is supported on stock oreo 8.1 for our device.
But it comes way after you have unlocked the BL (minimum requirement) + a custom recovery like Twrp, needs root (here comes the magisk). Stay there, do some modifications carefully and go on ahead from there.
Then still if you need more awesome mods then go for xposed. Xposed is the real deal though where magisk modules can fall short.
---------- Post added at 02:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:51 AM ----------
Just a heads up to anybody wanting to try this module - it's in beta and has a high probability of breaking the system. Also the horror of bootloops.
Take twrp backups and also it'll be helpful if you know how to uninstall via twrp, disabling the xposed Magisk module via recovery or if not using systemlessly then keep the xposed unistaller zip handy.
The Android P-ify module is itself great.
And Xposed always breaks safetynet and even systemlessly it's not easy to pass the safetynet with only one option of disabling it in magisk module and reboot everytime you want to use Gpay or whatever.

This is just an OTA and only works on STOCK ROM. If you are using custom ROM please wait for recovery ROM or just flash available stock ROM from MIUI website via recovery/TWRP and then this OTA zip.

AFAIK, you can't flash incremental OTA zip with TWRP. You have wait for the full ROM.
Or dirty flash the already installed ROM which will overwrite TWRP and restore stock recovery. With stock recovery you can flash the incremental OTA zip and after booting into system and setting up the phone, flash TWRP if needed.

After OTA Zip update 10.2.2.0 from above link, the three dot menu on download page is not having a option of ' Choose update package"
Tap a few (5, if I'm not mistaken) times on big "10" in the updater app, then the additional options to update from the file will be shown.
offical release in download section
