I bring to you another installment from my full oZoP project.
This one is usually kept for exclusive use control by my oZoP ConTroL app, but with the many requests and lingering release of the full oZoP I felt i could try and pump some juice back into this great device by showing the power and capabilities of this beast!!
Code:
native call recording with toggle
choose half-screen or full-screen caller id
custom background
choose image from gallery
any color solid
any color 2 stage gradient colors
call details text any color
incall button text text any color
incall dialpad numbers any color
incall dialpad letters any color
access to hidden service menus and settings
Screenshots
Screen Recording
instructions:
1. make a full backup if your current rom just to be safe
2. download the file
3. flash in TWRP
4. reboot and open the new oZoP Mods InCallUI app in your app drawer
5. show everyone and brag to them how you can do this and they can't!! HaHaHa
Deodexed rom is needed.
All other files are included.
NOTE: THIS IS ONLY TESTED AND INTENDED FOR THE LG V20! For now at least. Once I get feedback from others that could change.
I WOULD NOT SUGGEST TRYING IT unless you are at the very least LG and I suspect the only viable applicants would be the G5 and v10 running Android 7.
No G6 and no other devices should even attempt to flash unless you know how to recover yourself.
(some features may not work properly because they are dependent on root and busybox installed)
I am not responsible for your mistakes or errors!!
Report bug properly to get my support
Of course there are many way to properly report bugs and ALL of these ways have one thing in common, THEY ALL REQUIRE VERY DETAILED NOTES of the issue!
I'm not going to go deep into how detailed you could get because lets face it, most people that report improperly are the ones who don't read and probably are going to read this! HaHaHa...
To get support from me I only ask for some simple things
1. What device, and rom you are running
2. What is the issue (no boot, fc everywhere, fc only certain app etc...)
3. Which option did you select
4. Did you get the install log
5. Did you use the restore.zip option to get back running
6. Do other choices share the same effect
That looks like a lot, but it really is the minimum amount of info need to troubleshoot!
Provide me that and I'll do my best to fix things and make this fun for everyone.
If you post things like
"Doesn't work", "bootloop" or anyone other similar post that have no value and help development is no way, actually these kinds of post only put development behind and slow progress die the fact that anyone who cam help has to waste their time reading it!
If these kind of post ever come up, its best to ignore the lazy person and not clog the thread with flaming replies as that too slows development!
Anyway, I don't expect there to be many if any bugs! Been tested by myself and confirmed with users of this device!
BUG REPORT
Code:
* the option for button color is still WIP and may or may not be seen in future releases
DEVS: You are welcome to use this in your projects, BUT the files must remain together and the code must remain untouched!! You can theme them however you want, but again, the main code must stay untouched and the apps must stay together

Extras
Thi post will include any extra items that aren't in the current release.
I will try to add anything that is here to future updates so it is easy, simple and everyone will have it
First items are the stock button icons. here are 3 styles. Flash the choice you want
oZoP_ModZ_InCallUI_white_button_icons
oZoP_ModZ_InCallUI_black_button_icons
oZoP_ModZ_InCallUI_real_button_icons

Now I can remove pixelphone dialer from my phone !

@stangdriver44
Thanks for this. Been waiting for a while. Some questions before flashing this.
1) Do i need a fully deodexex Stock/Custom rom?
2) Do i need the signature disabled ( patched services) mod from urs to be installed ?

NO, this is not a patch method zip!
This will completely replace your existing InCallUI with ths custom one.
The only way to revert back would be manually copy the files from you system before flashing,
pull the files from the rom zip of which your are running
or restore thhe Nandroid i suggest as step 1 of the instructions.
I have tested this many time and have had some test result feedback confirming the flash went fine.
I don't see any reason to go back to stock, unless of course you like the hideous stock look with the tiny color ID and stick figure drawing for unknow callers! Hahaha.
Just flash it, you'll be pleased with what you cam do! Just check the screenies and video.
As far as Google dialer goes, I've not used it and am not familiar with it or what ot does to yoir system.
Does it effect both the main and incall dialers or just the main dialer you call out with?
Left is main dialer amd right is incall dialer.

And what am I missing ? I have a back up. I flashed your zip . The app is on my phone and I've set it up like I want . Should the native phone app even be on my phone after flashing the zip? Or do I just open the native dialer app? When I open it it hasn't changed. Do i need to uninstall any applied themes ? Or anything else?
Thanks again for your help! And for this mod!

Same here, flashed granted root and configured to my liking but dialer hasn't changed.
Edit : seems to work only when placing a call
H918

That's no fun lol
So only the in call is being changed atm and not the dialer.

Just flashed it on WETA 5.0.7 which is the newest one as of right meow. Phone booted up properly and nothing seems wrong. Call UI shows up properly.
Only thing I had an issue with was the phone stopped charging even though it was plugged in and the fast charging notification was even showing up but my battery icon was actually going down. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and got the charger sound but the battery icon was still discharging. I navigated to the battery menu under Android settings>General and after it loaded that menu it went from discharging to charging. Kinda weird.
Just thought I would share for anyone else who experiences this.
Haven't experimented to much with this just yet and I realize its just the 1st version but I'm gonna be honest, I'm not a big fan of the icons. It would be great if I could have the stock icons for the buttons and numbers.
The full screen caller ID is fantastic ? great work on that. However I'm finding it very difficult to read based on the caller ID picture since you can only set one color for the text and buttons, it can be very hard to read or see the buttons. Maybe some font ehancements would help fix or alleviate the issue. Something like borders or drop shadows or something better that I'm not aware of?? The half screen option could actually benefit from this as well for the name and number field as it still can blend in depending on picture.
***I just realized that to activate the half screen caller ID option you just have to leave the full screen option unchecked lol. I thought it wasn't included yet or something and noticed that after reading about the half screen option in the OP :silly:? ***
One little note on the half screen option is the "Hold call" icon overlaps with the call timer.
Just trying to to give some feedback on it and thanks again for porting it out from your mod so we can try it early ? Kudos!

Woooow great news... thank you for share your mod whit the community
someting fresh for our phone

@stangdriver44
Works great in H990DS Indian Variant. With Latest April security patch. But i have one small request. If u see the cropping of the contact photo reducing the quality. Is there any chance to make the cropping like this ? While choosing photos for contact ?

I am asking about that Potrait crop. This mod made by me for Sony Xperia Z2/Z3 and other sony devices ages ago. Now i stopped all things due to family.. Any hope.. ?

Thank for the feedback, I added to the OP confirmed devices. I may start thread in the G5 sections as well. But need to know if it worrk for other G5 roms or just Fulmics.
Are the stock basedrom like fulmics somewhat compatible or is Fulmics based off different FW?

Hahaha!!! Come on guys... I thought the title of the thread "InCallUI" would be enough to understand that it is the dialer UI for when you're "In a Call"
if that wasn't enough I did list the features, one of which state "native call recording". I've only seen the call recording option available once you're "In a Call"
I guess Android is a little confusing to understand that they even have 2 separate dialers (which I did describe above including screenshots). In fact our android system has nearly 10 apk's, several framework jar files and other support xml files. So it is confusing.... I guess...
Anyways, This mod is usually exclusive to my full oZoP project and it will be included in the project along with the main dialer and many many other mods!!

I have not had or had report of the charging issue you report. This mod really should have any effect on that or any app associated with that portion of the phones activities?
As you a;ready noticed, this is v1 and it will be improved on.
That being said, the stock icons created problems being a single solid flat color and visibility in many screens. These one may not be the best style for everyone, but they are more visible in more situations and that is better for more people.
I also am working on getting color controls for the icons (as shown with the Button color WIP option, it works, but only for the redial call icon that shows when the call ends.
If I can't figure the coloring option I will either restore the stock icons or have a flashable zip to replace them actually, I've attached a zip to put stock back(I do not use these and can not support any color issues you may get as a result)

I'm not sure what issue you're talking about here?
As far as this mod goes, there are no major issues, some very minor theme style preferences maybe, but no issues here.
The link takes me to my XDA signature image, you want to know something about that?
In the future if you want better support, I suggest giving as much detail, including screenshots detailed noted for what you did, what you had going prior and the results after the flash. Logs from logcat as good, but don't always help (especially for user error, haha)
I also suggest reading the OP and viewing any previews that may be included. I actually updated the OP preview section with notes of what is in the screenshot.

That is a great looking feature, but at this time the control app is set as is. There is a lot that goes into these things and I am not at a time in which I can spend working on this kind of thing.
Not to say it won't eventually happen, maybe down the road after oZoP has been officially released and several updates have gone by, maybe.
I do thank you for the suggestion and am always open to, not promising, to any suggestions or request you all have!!
Thank you all

True, I read the OP but I thought incallui was the samething as the dialer,my bad. Please delete my previous comment and thank you for this mod.

Tips/Support/Future Release Information
History and Explanation of this ROM:
This ROM was started as a Project to help me along the ways to becoming a developer for Android. I don't classify myself as a "good" developer, but this ROM has taught me a lot and the information I have come across since the initial build of this ROM has made me that much better at becoming what I need to be to make this ROM and Project a reality.
The reason why I choose GO! Apps over AOSP is the fact that they have so many features and really isolate a lot of battery drain. The developers @GO! have did an amazing job with these apps and are used in place until I finish building the actual wp7 apps from source. Once I have accomplished a good foundation for those apps, I will replace them to match the theme of this ROM. The goal is to get wp7 UI on Android and not just by replacing a few apps here and there. This will be a project and the day that this ROM is "complete" is when ALL apps(everything that I or any developer supporting this ROM can touch) with a WP7 styling.
Why? Because I honestly feel that WP7 has one of the cleanest and nicest UI's that I have seen on a mobile device. But I choose Android over wp7 because of the Potential the Android platform has with the UNLIMITED customization and the openness of Android. WP7 will probably never have the number of features that Android can offer and with Google's push to keep things open as much as they can, Microsoft has no chance. So, with that comes me and my project(I'm sure there are others as well) to get that WP7 clean and slick UI to our Android Devices.
The Blur camera is used over AOSP because I have had less compatibility issues with the Blur Camera as opposed to AOSP; especially trying to record Hi Def videos on the x2. Soon there will be an AOSP Camera app and soon everything will be built from source.
Tips:
-Check out =yankoa @deviantart.com for some nice icons for your tiles.
-To unpin from the home screen, Hold>Click Upper Right icon.
-To move tiles, Hold>Drag to where ever>Back Button.
-To enable swype, just go through the installer process. Once complete. You can uninstall the Installer.
-To enable the WP7 Popups. Go to PopUP SMS and enable through that application. You can then Change the Tile color for the Popup. It will be a Block at the top of your screen when you receive a Text Message. You can click on the Text to view in Default SMS app or click X to remove the Tile. You can then disable by uninstalling the App or Untick the box. Make sure you set Go SMS to not disable other Notifications. And to Turn off Go SMS Notifications.
-You can remove apps from the Drawer by holding the app of choice and remove. **This does not Uninstall**
-You can change the App Drawer to the normal android drawer within Launcher7 Settings. Just press menu select option.
-You can change the Tile Color within Launcher7 settings
-To pin other apps to front page, go to drawer, select and hold app, pin to home. Then in the settings you can choose what options you want for the tile.
Warning: DO NOT REMOVE LAUNCHER 7 FROM SYSTEM/APP FOLDER! YOU WILL KILL THE LAUNCHER AND FORCE A SBF IF YOU HAVEN'T SETUP SYSTEM RECOVERY!
How you can help:
-Check the Known Bugs section of the first post if you find a bug. If the bug is not listed, Post within this thread.
-Donate to the developer/Press Thanks Button/Nominate for Developer of the Month.
-There are some issues I am having with the theming. If you see an error(white text on white background), send me a PM or post on this thread the solution. I know some but not all and the quicker I get the solution, the quicker I can get you and the rest of the community a Patch.
Future Release Info:
-Sense UI Transitions
I'm not totally sure if this is possible due to a locked BootLoader, But I plan on building a new launcher from the ground up on the next major release which should allow me to make these transitions and also add live tile support. This is not something to be talked about at current on this forum. PM me if you have any advice or know what you are doing when it comes to developing, to get this feature quicker.
-Port/Build wp7 system apps(dialer, phone, sms, etc)
This is going to be my next venture in android development. I want to build the apps from source and try to recreate the look and function of the wp7 apps for a better wp7 look.
-Theme Manager
Of all my plans, this will probably be the first to be completed; as for future development goes. This will allow quick swapping of the theme. The overall look will stay inverted with color accents(hold on a notification) for a more custom look when you flash this rom. The idea should work with other x2 roms, and possibly other devices. The Theme Manager will allow users to also create his or her own theme(whether custom, UOT, and/or within the actual theme manager) and allow quick swapping of elements within the ROM. This will more than likely be a GBP7 only release, with two market versions(paid/free) for other developers and users to use. Think of it like Liberty Toolbox, but for themes.
-PowerMod v2
I'm going to probably start testing this after I get a patch or two released, and when the next major release comes out(2.3.5) I will probably be including this if the tests go well.
downloading now. this looks very promising and im actually more excited to tryout this rom over any others in the past due to the fact that this looks completely different.
Any idea when the notifications issue will be straightened out? if not, no prob, keep up the good work!

Thanks for the excitement! lol makes me feel better with the time I've had with this.
As soon as I find the error. The problem lies with me adding the Toggle notifications to the dropdown. I'm still trying to figure out how to edit the xml files lol .. but should be within a couple days I'll release a patch just for that issue.
I'll definately be trying this out after one or two releases are done to get some bugs out. I hope you stick with this and make it. It looks very promising.

Thanks. Right now there aren't really any "Bugs" that I can find anyway. The only problem is the notifcation pulldown lol... its set to black text and Im still trying to figure out how to edit the xml files. Once I can do that, ill be set. OR i could just change the background of the notfication to something else...Probably end up doing that.

Ahh I see with the music tile there was no music app in the drawer and I hadn't give threw ti backup yet for my music app but like I said looks promising I hope u continue on it and do not let the haters get on ya I look forward to future versions

Thanks, and I'm glad you found out how to edit the files.
A little information about me. IM NOT A DEVELOPER PERSEE. haha this rom is for me to tinker with and to learn how to develop for future ideas and apps. This rom will have my full support and will probably get updated frequently over the next few weeks as I learn different things and make it better. Right now I'm trying to get the Notification issue worked out(black BG on black text). It's a simple fix, but Ive got other daily things I have to take care of. I work everyday except Sundays, thus giving me limited time to work with. But I'm constantly editing the Rom. I've had it now for like 3 weeks and I've been tinkering with it as I can, trying to learn the limitations and work arounds. The Launcher needs edited BADLY and as soon as I have got a feel for xml editing and app production, I will start working on it to Automatically have certain tiles set and eventually add Live Tile support like the WP7s(this should be like 1-2 months away ..) But I will be getting the ROM bloat free and More AOSP and HOPEFULLY blurless by next weekend, Maybe middle of next week. Still waiting on feedback to determine whether to use AOSP text messaging and Dialer or Use GO! replacements and other APPS that need to go or come to the rom. PERSONALLY, I like the GO! replacements for the features they have in them(SMS has FB Chat Integration as well as a DATA IM Client, all of which runs within your SMS app).
You could always make to versions one with go one more asop and get feedback on both before u decide which one to develop more

Thats not a bad idea actually. My only worry is the setup phase of this phone. Its been very aggravating flashing my phone multiple times a day and setting up my other apps that I don't have featured in this and setting up my accounts back on the phone. But I will probably do that after this next release.
QUESTION FOR ALL!!!
Does anyone know how to put Swype Beta's data file in the data/data folder when flashing a rom? I tried to put my license within the data folder upon bootup, but I don't think it flashed and the way it was setup in tests was I had the data folder set correctly for flashing, but it didnt flash the /data/data/ folder. The line is *command_here_extract_folder* /data which dumps the contents of /data/ from .zip to /data/ of the phone. Weird, but it don't work sadly .. any ideas? or is just keeping the installer fine till the official is released?
If the power doesn't go off tonight, I will be uploading an update fixing the notifications and removing/moving some of the apps that aren't useful. Hopefully around 9 est. You should have it.

[Theme] REDz-ound -v1.0 final-Ineffabilis [1/25/12]

I was going to wait until I was completely finished to release this but it seems a red theme is in high demand and with ICS leaks starting I didn't know how long until it would be outdated.
This is my first released theme for android so go easy on me. Another reason I'm posting this is to get some feedback from the community as to what they are looking for in a theme. I realize there are some things that could use polishing so let me know what you think. I'm open to feedback so long as it's constructive!
Disclaimer:
Flash at your own risk, You are the only one responsible for your phone.
I'm sure everyone knows the deal by now.
Install Directions:
1) Download latest version of Redzound-v0.x-Ineffabilis.zip
2) Boot into recovery
3) Make a nandroid backup just in case.
4) Wipe Cache
5) Install Redzound-v0.x-Ineffabilis.zip
6) Reboot and Enjoy!
(for some having issues with statusbar foreclosing boot into recovery and fix permissions)

Whats Themed:
Tons of Framework images-new
SystemUI
Mail
Browser
Music
Contacts
Settings
MMS
Dialer
Camera
Flashlight
BootAnimation
ICS window animations
Roboto Font
Animated Notifications - (Turn off by setting notifications to transparent in mik settings )
Clock is not themed it is Beautiful Widgets "brackated_Red" skin
Rosie and a lot of other HTC things are not able to be themed at the moment. (to my knowledge anyways)
Bugs:
I have not come across any major flaws or bugs. But then again I don't use everything on the phone so please post with as much detail as possible of the location of bad icons and text strings if you find any.
To Do List:
Version v1.0 will more than likely be the final update.
As for porting this to ICS.... I"m going to wait until there is a official ICS release or as close to official as the devs can get
plus I need a little break this theme has consumed a lot of my time lately!!!!!
Download in 2nd post
I do have 2 small requests for anyone reading this or downloading this theme.
1) If you want to use or port this theme as your own ask me first. I spent a lot of time editing these images and want to know where it's going and that proper credit is given.
2) I recently realized the lack of real feedback in the android community. I see tons of mods and themes with over 1,000's of downloads and only 10 people where able to take the second to hit the thanks button. Also multiple apps on the market with millions of downloads and only 10,000 comments that's a pretty low percentage!! I hate to sound demanding but come on people!!!! It only takes seconds to do this and it's gives us themers, modders, and hackers something to go off of and keep doing what we do.
Lastly I wanted to give thanks to all the members of the various Android forums that wrote guides for people like me to learn stuff like this. With out the community I would not be able to do the things I'm learning to do. And also a quick thanks to UOT kitchen for the battery icons and the animated background. I hate making those crazy xmls lol.

I should be able to get a good update or 2 before ICS becomes stable. I was having some issues with the market but I think I have it figured out. I'll include more app icons in the next version too forgot about those. Thanks for the feedback!

Warning. Possible n00b question ahead (first smartphone so first time geeking out over my phone)...
Do you need root for this? I just grabbed a skin but it was an app I downloaded from the market. I've installed apps using adb before but based on the instructions it sounds like root is required.
I will be rooting but am studying up on Android OS and flashing ROMs/kernels before I do.
Also, once this is flashed, is it added to the skin/theme options on the phone so that it can be selected and deselected (blasphemy I know)? And is it all or nothing or can certain elements be changed, such as wallpaper or something like that.

Wait, you're a noob? You seem so seasoned in all your posts!
To answer your questions... yes you need to be rooted to flash this. This will not be a skin as it is a theme that you have to flash from recovery. It will not be added anywhere like the HTC skins. This will simply be applied to your phone. That means that you can continue to use that skin if you want to in order to add a little more to it. I'll be running this in a second and using one of the skins that was just released recently. And most of this should be all or nothing, in a sense. You will still be able to change things just like you could with the stock theme. Meaning that you will be able to change the wallpaper and stuff.
EDIT: You also need to realize that this is a theme for Ineffabilis. That means that you need to be running that ROM to use this theme. If you try to flash this theme on top of a different ROM or the stock ROM, you could have serious issues. Still can't get over that you're a noob haha
EDIT 2: You also don't need to use adb for this. You can just download it, put it on your sd card, boot into recovery, wipe your cache and dalvik, then select flash zip menu. You can then select it off your sd card. Much easier than doing it through adb, imo.
EDIT 3: Seriously, you're a noob????? Like, I hope you don't take this as an insult, but I just can't get over it. I consider you one of the select few who know what you're doing! I'm impressed

Yup, total n00b. Except that I've been reading almost every post in the Rezound forums studying up on what I need to know about the phone and rooting/flashing etc. I have to get my geek fix here cuz my girlfriends just wanna talk about pregnancy, adoption, etc...
Yeah, I plan on flashing Ineffabilis ROM and I think dsb kernel, or maybe Ziggy's.
Thanks for the help and the compliment!

Haha, no problem. I am thoroughly impressed. If only more would read everything before posting I would definitely recommend Ineffabilis, though it will be dead soon. It is the best ROM right now, imo, but there will be better to come with the ICS leak out. I would suggest using that ROM for now, though. I like Ziggy's kernel, too, but others have had their issues with it. I've been running it since I rooted and haven't had an issue yet. (Well, it does bootloop when I'm charging it and it hits a full charge). But it's pretty stable for me. I'm flashing this theme right now, but I'll be using the Red Beats Skin on top of it.
Edit: This is to the OP... I didn't want to flash this because I thought it kind of looked meh in the pictures. Just flashed it and holy crap it's gorgeous! Big props and hope you keep adding themes for all the ICS ROMs.
Thanks wasabi! I'll try and to add some better screenshots tomorrow.

Yeah, the only thing I was still unsure of after flashing it was the font. I read too much on my phone and it was starting to bother me. I just installed the Roboto font, though, and I love it again You should make other colors like blue and green You know, if you have time haha

and no, don't bother donating to me for this - give it to those above who've made it possible in the first place
the install file is available here:

all files are zipaligned, too, for those who care about that sort of thing
there is an undo file available here:

the uninstall will revert to the stock framework/res/systemui/settings/android.policy files, so backup these files for your own sake before installing this mod. my working installation is arconium 7.1, so that's where my starting point was for these files. i've had some issues with the uninstaller from time to time, though, so let me know if it's not working for you and i'll see what i can do.
it's my first ever mod, so please let me know what you think, and if you have any more suggestions that you'd like to see included post 'em and i'll see what i can do.
equally, if anyone wants to see my working files, i tried to split out the mods into individual changes from the stock decompiled files as i found that easier to keep track of the changes. if they're any use to someone, just ask and i'll send you my working files.
Looks Cool! Awesome Work Dude

2g/3g toggle mod could be a useful addition to this so thanks for the heads-up! i'll have a look and see if i can work out how to include it - i have to admit that the smali code is a complete pita to get my head around - such a shame apktool doesn't decompile into java instead as i've worked with that for over 12 years i don't suppose you know of a language primer for smali code at all?

Smali is essentially a java optimized for dalvik. It's easy to understand once you get used to it only that all the type is included in each object mentioned instead of one include directive on top of java file. another differences is that variable is assigned with a v (v1, v2, etc) and parameter is with p (p0 -> usually a replacement for 'this' inside object based function or just a first parameter in a static function, p1, p2, etc)

well, i've tried to keep the mods as separate as i can while i was doing them so that they could be combined. there's only a few that crossed over significantly, but the control panel mod was one of them. as it stands, i'm toying with the idea of trying to move it beneath the notifications as in landscape mode it takes up most of the available screen space, and the notifications aren't really visible. ideally, i'd do it more like miui, with the page of icons and a page for notifications, with the view defaulting to notifications if any are present. but that's just me - i really liked miui, but for some reason the touch-screen doesn't seem to respond properly on cm7/miui on the arc s. ah, well

second attempt, then: try this instead just tried it on my phone, and seems to work fine for me this time. it still has the 'never' option on the display timeout in there too, as i'm a little pushed for time to pull all of those changes out, but there shouldn't be anything else left in there.
brilliant will give it another go, thank you

INTRODUCTION:

Hello XDA.. Welcome to another project by me, the Custom Stock ROM 5.0 Edition- Codename: "Eternity". After a long period of waiting and as most of you have known me from my ICS ROM Thread, basically it's a simple looking Stock Rom with some new features and apps added to this ROM that the original firmware don't have and it feels a lot better and faster. Lots of bugs has been fixed, and I have made a lot of visual changes in 5.0 Edition. I feel that this is what Samsung should have done on our lovely device. I hope you will have a great time enjoying with this new release. If you enjoy my work, please spread the word around about this ROM.
*Before using this ROM, please read the whole post.
*This thread will be updated with new infos.
Things To Remember:
1. The best way to start is not by posting, it is by reading. Read, search, read, search. If you read an answer that looks helpful or answers a question you might have, bookmark it, and when you see someone else ask that question you will have the answer for them plus a supporting link.
2. Courtesy towards other Members: Treat new members the way you would like to have been treated when you were a new member. When dealing with any member, provide them with guidance, advice and instruction when you can and always with respect and courtesy. Never post in a demanding, argumentative, disrespectful or self-righteous manner.
3.When you post something here, many people will see it and possibly post a reply that might be perceived as funny but not extremely helpful, or trolling. This is mostly due to questions that have been asked and answered a thousand times, threads/posts being in the wrong forum/thread, or not providing enough info. This is usually meant as good-natured kidding, so please don't take it wrongly and snap off a reply that escalates the situation into something you might regret later.
4. Do not use abusive language: Example: "wtf", "f***ing", etc... Please do not use bold or bigger fonts. It is against all forum rules.
5. Post using a clear message: You're most likely to receive a helpful answer to your question if you use a message that describes your problem and explain in detail what your problem is and what you've tried to solve it.
6. Search before posting: Use the search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
7. Press the

FAQs:
Q: Is this ROM 100% lockscreen lag free?
A: It is being reduced. You can still see 1 or 2 lags.
Q: How do I flash this ROM?
A: Please refer to the Installation Procedures.
Q: How is the battery life?
A: It can last a day of usage if you are not a gaming type of person.
Steps in preserving the battery:
1. You may want to uncheck some unused feature in Google Now settings. Example: Weather, Traffic. This cause heavy usage on battery life.
2. Uncheck Backup my Phone in Settings/Privacy.
3. Uncheck Automatic date and time in Settings/Date and time.
4. Uncheck WiFi notification in WiFi/Advance setting.
5. Set the Brightness Slider to a minimum and uncheck the Auto Brightness.
6. If you are using the Information Ticker and Weather Widgets, please set the refresh rate to 2 hours or more.
You may also want to practice the 2-3 discharge cycles to get good battery life.
7. Do not use Task Killer apps. Using these apps will waste even more battery life. Let android system do its ram killing.
8. If you using Juice Defender or Green Power apps, some users experience better battery life without these apps, so the best solution is to test them by yourself.
9. When exiting an app, do not simply press the home button. This will make the app not closing properly.
Thus, waste your battery life. Use the back button continuously until you reach the homescreen.
*Tips: The Best Way to Calibrate SGS2 Battery
ram3n said:
Guys,
Here is, I do think, an interesting topic about the famous eternal question :
"Please, tell me how to calibrate my f*** battery?!".
To begin with, here are some (fresh) news :
You have to know that our dear brand-new device uses new specific MAX17042 drivers which actually don't allow us to normally "calibrate" the battery as many of us could have imagined.
I quote Entropy512 :
Unlike HTC devices, battery calibration doesn't apply to our devices.
Google MAX17040 for more info - while our fuel gauge chip (MAX17042) does have advanced features that would require calibration if used, those features are not yet enabled and it basically behaves identically to a 17040. Maxim specifically designs their fuel gauge chips to not require special calibration procedures..
Click to collapse
I mean here that using such applications like Battery Calibration (or anything else), or manually delete Batterystats.bin in data/system folder, or even wipe batterystats in recovery, all theses methods are actually .... useless and a waste!
In fact, the only effect you will notice by doing (deleting) it, is that you'll reset your usage stats in the Android battery usage screen. Nothing else, sorry.
The only current way I've found up to now, is to force the internal chip to do it and therefore reset the fuel-gauge.
Here is a very simple method. Keep in mind that's not the only way :
BTW, no root needed here
1. Turn off your phone.
2. Fully Charge.
3. When getting 100% signal, unplug quickly.
4. Pull off the battery and put it anywhere.
5. Wait for 180 seconds exactly (be careful )
6. Meanwhile, take this opportunity to dust off the internal compartment.
7. Put back the battery on the right side.
8. Turn on the phone.
9. Pray the Battery god
10. ... and voilà !
After that, you can make some cycle of fully charge/discharge to ~15/20% TO complete the method
I am pleased to share my experience about it.
Hope it could help most of people,
Cheers

MY GUIDE TO BATTERY.
Its different for every user so its hard, you may use apps that i don't so its no good deleting them, after all there is no point having good battery if you can't and don't enjoy your phone because you daren't have a certain app on your phone because it might use battery.
Or your struggling to see the screen because you have turned brightness off and put filter apps on.
So lets get one thing straight, yes you can save more battery than "my way" but i refuse to gimp my phone or use monitoring apps to analyze every little thing.
I will not undervolt or underclock because i bought an S2 and want to use its performance, i don't want a Galaxy mini that looks like an S2!
Remember, if a phone is gimped to half its speed it will take twice as long to do a job!
Don't use task killer apps, they are no good!
Use common sense, don't touch system apps if you don't know what they are.
For an example i only have 92 system apps left out of about 145 on JB lite after deleting what i don't need, and you could do more than that but you need to be very careful!
1st timers freeze apps instead of deleting just incase you make a mistake!
First get link2sd https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...m.buak.Link2SD
or similar app and "debloat" remove useless/unused apps)
For me that would be things like all Samsung apps like samsung sync adapter, allshare, remote control apps, enterprise apps, software update apps, gmail, google+, gtalk etc..
I delete Touchwiz and samsung keyboard also because i use Launcher Pro and Swiftkey.
*Remember to install other launcher and keyboard before deleting stock ones:thumbup:*
This might be of some help, but be careful, don't delete if you don't know what it is!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=34465832
List of what apps are ok to remove and what it does http://bo.lt/i8igz
Look in running and cached apps to see what is always there and if you don't use it, lose it!
Another good app for clearing out rubbish and duplicates (amongst other things) that other apps miss is sdmaid, https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....thedarken.sdm
give your phone a good clean everyday or 2! £1.19p full version i think but well worth it!
Go to settings, turn off haptic feedback and turn vibration levels right down/off (if you don't use vibrate).
Turn brightness to a low comfortable level, for me thats about 20 %.
Turn auto brightness off (common sense tells me it must be analyzing ambient light levels every second the screen is on, therefore using resources!)
Go to settings - Location and uncheck all 3 boxes until needed.
Use dark wallpapers, the more black the better! http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1631228
Turn syncing of email and notifications in xda, facebook, twitter etc off and just do it manually.
Apps like facebook, google+ and twitter, do you really need them?
If you only go on there occasionally then delete the apps and bookmark the site!
If you have poor signal then go to the modem + RiL thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=31416701
and find a good modem but on JB most modems are incompatible so check that it works on JB with someone first, but if you are on ICS then go and do it.
Lastly Gemini, https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...droid.gmappmgr
all the apps you were checking that were running like Maps etc, things you don't want to delete can be set to not start up at boot.
Go to settings and tick "force expert mode" then go through all your apps and all that have autostarts will have a little orange "auto" symbol.
Press the desired app and you will see "configure autostarts".
When you press that you will see all the instances in which that particular app will start up.
Here's where you are on your own depending on what apps you have so this is where you will need common sense on what to turn off.
As a general rule, turn off "on boot completed" on all your user apps, (apps you have downloaded yourself) but again there might be an exception depending what apps you have.
Be careful with system apps but Maps are the main offender which you can turn off.
(Turn all OFF , apart from 3rd one down and the 2 at the bottom ON) like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=29420959
YOUTUBE is the only app i have come across that doesn't like not being able to autostart so leave that one alone.
OK, now you are set upintall BBS http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=15869886
You can now keep an eye on what apps or processes are draining your battery.
Open it up, press menu/options from top right corner and go to advanced and check the "root features" box.
If you are having something keep your phone awake for excessive amounts of time the make a dump and post it in BBS thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=15869886
Make sure it is at least 4 hours long and phone has been untouched in that period. Someone will help you find the causes and keep them to a minimum
That is basically everything i do, so as long as you use common sense you should be fine.
A big thankyou to Salesale for these excellent ROMs he keeps coming out with
Remember, your phone is for using and enjoying, not being treated like a fragile egg and being scared to use it in case it uses battery!
As long as it lasts from when you wake till you sleep or get home (10 ~16 hours) then that is all you need! charge it overnight and ready to go again when you wake:thumbup:
Better than hardly touching it and getting 24 - 30 hours and it running out halfway through the next day!

If you have any other better advice or solutions on battery life, please share it in here.
Q: Is there a brick bug or Exynos Exploit in this ROM?
A: No, there isn't any of these bugs present. So, it is safe to use.
Q: How do I solve unlock SIM card?
A: You can use Galaxy SIM unlock or you may try here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35096670&postcount=277
Q: My signal bar is not good. What can i do?
A: You may want to try flashing modems that works for you previously.
Q: My device is not waking up when I press the power or the home button key. What should I do?
A: Since I do not have this issue during my few test, try installing the ROM again. Or try to download the ROM again. Make sure you read the Installation Procedure below.
Q: I get the following error "Couldn't install on USB Storage or SD card" when trying to restore apps. What can i do?
A: Remove SD Card, install the misbehaving apps, then you reinsert SD card.
Q: AOSP Lockscreen crashes and reboot itself when I slide to unlock my device. What's happening?
A: There are conflicting apps you have installed that causes these bug. The issue with the AOSP lock screen is to do with popup notify apps using the accessability service to monitor apps.

A: I have not tested it. You may lose some of the things in the ROM as the themes will overwrites the system/apps. Try it at your own risk. Always do a backup before attempting .
Q: Why are some of my apps FCs everytime I open them?
A: Some apps might not yet JB compatible.
Q: I want to dowload apps from Google Playstore i get a message that say's " Your phone is not compatible with this version" Any sugestions?
A: Try clearing cache/data for Play Store and Google Service Framework and Download Manager see if that helps.
Q: Is this ROM good for daily usage?
A: Yes, it is for daily usage, but as JB is in early development stage, bugs and errors is to be expected here and there. I will try my best to minimise these bugs and errors in the near future.
Q: Is this ROM multi-dpi? Can I change to 200 dpi?
A: I have not done this before. I may not be able to tell you. Try it at own risk. Always do a backup before attempting .
Q: Can I underclock/overclock and dual-boot with this kernel/ROM?
A: You can only underclock with this kernel. There is no dual boot feature yet.
Q: I experience over heating; that is I can feel the heat from the back of my device without doing anything. Why is this?
A: There are some apps which is running on background, trying to do updates and locations and it requires an amount of your 3G data.
Q: Which kernel is better?
A: Read below in the Warning Section.
*To monitor your Battery life, please use the Better Battery Stats App.
Info:
As some of you may or may not like it, this ROM has the carrier label on the statusbar.
I urge the users to stick with it as this is the only ROM with the carrier label on the statusbar trademark.
You will not find this on any other ROMs.
For Developers Only:
If you would like to use something from this ROM or one who has porting knowledge and would like to port this ROM to i777 or i9100P,
contact me in PM. Thanks.
Warning:
If you wish to install other kernels, you may try Philz kernel, Siyah Kernel(Beta) or Dorimanx kernel. Please download and run the GS2kernelwipe before installing these kernels.
You have to test it which works best for you.
For undervolting with Jeboo kernel v1.3, use an app like SetCPU or Voltage Control.
I advise you to undervolt 1 step at a time to test for stable result.
Some phones may not be able to undervolt and some can go -100mhv on each step.
If your device freezes or gets too hot due to too much undervolting, reboot to recovery. There is an option to reset the voltage.

ABOUT THE ROM:
__________________________________________________
Since version 1.0, the Custom Stock ROM has been based on the original Stock Samsung ROM builds. This makes a combination of performance and new features directly to your device as well as keeping it close to stock theme.
Some of the things that were tweaked with mods, scripts and apps in the previous versions are now included by default in this new ROM.
I would recommend to try this ROM. No obligations. Feel free to give your feedbacks about this ROM.
There will be more to come in the future versions, so for now, let's enjoy this release and hope to hear good things from you.

Hi Maanz,
Already said thanks in previous post when I used your Rom in 2 days, but just have to say THANKS again. I use this rom now over a week and battery life is very good, can go over a day with normal use, no FC's ,all is working like expected and very stable rom as you stated. This was done as my wife will be using it from now on(since I get my Note2 in a week) and I needed a "WAF"-rom (Wife Approval Factor)
This is by far the best rom I've used giving only the most needed extras and still have excellent stability, greatly appreciate your time and effort. You probably not gonna work on a Note 2 rom for me?
Gonna try the Revolution HD for note2(heard also stable)

Haha, funny thing, in my case I needed a "SAF"-rom (Sister Approval Factor). This one is in my opinion not wife/sister proof yet, I ended up putting maanz's other rom, Custom Stock Rom 2.1, which is ICS and super duper stable. If you hear any complains from the wife, go with that one for a bug free JB we just have to wait a little more

Hey Guys,
Just for info Maanz is working really hard on fixing a few minor visual bugs in the new version. I can say I have been testing it and its amazing for performance and battery life plus all the silly extra spaces and stuff in dialer after hangup which sammy should have fixed Maanz has done. It has been no easy task but Mannz is a perfectionist and will only release the new version when its 100% good so we can all enjoy it start getting very excited as this new version is awesome !

Ok, I have installed this for the wife and she's very pleased and I can vouch that the "phone once-always" bug is gone when rom upgraded.
@Ipmanwck..I did install the circle battery mod alone for wife and still no bug of the "once-always".
So far no bugs to report, all is running smooth for a day..didn't tinker yet where the other guys mention bugs, but normal email works fine, actually all is tested fine, except gps which I'm doing today.
Kudo's to the oke who made the video of installing rom in main page,is it you ipmanwck?..anyhow..I use that method with all my phones and is considered a norm for me,except I format internal sd everytime(really love a clean start, less errors to none found)..
Yet again,my wife is running brilliantly stock and me not,Oh I wish Maanz could do that for the N7105's..by the way is there a way I can have the lockscreen torch function on my note2,my wife is so stoked about the simplicity of how to enable torch with the home button(this must be built into samsung stock)

Well, is there and user feedback? I don't mind continuing development on this project, but I have no interest if you have no interest.
Not asking for much, just at least would like to know if install went well and you are up and running?
I can make this project be fully customizable and themable like my other OZOP project if interest is here?
Happy Holidays everyone.

Unfortunately I don't own a Tab 4, but I did figure out the full fix for the Tab 4 layout bug. It was a few incorrect layout_gravity positions in status_bar_expanded xml. Never got the chance to update my thread but yeah, there was an custom apktool someone compiled with the new commits that fix the pull down bug. Let me search around to find it so you can use. Anyway, hopefully some people can provide feedback. Happy holidays
EDIT: here's the apktool that should have fixed pull downs

I'm surprised to see you don't own a Tab 4 seeing as you clearly put in A LOT of work to ensure proper compilation of modded apk's!!!
Again thank you for the leg work you put in for this device. I may or may not have mentioned that I don't actually own the device either, my wife does!! She like to be able to tweak the clocks and play with themes as well, so she allows me to work my mods in, slowly....
Your previous fixes for the pulldown worked pretty good overall, I don't mind the only thing that was noticeable (when youe begin to pulldown the pulldown header is visable at the bottom for a quick moment) to me in the brief time playing with the Tab. It didn't hinder the device unusable or really count as a major "bug" in my mind.
I will try the linked apktool and see if that changes anything? Thanks again bud!!

To be honest, I only modded this device for my wife and am unsure of the different devices or even why they have so many devices in the same forum?
All I can be sure of is my girls Tab is the Tab 4 10.1 model number T530NU.
She uses it for school only. Wi-Fi as of now, with no data connection of it's own.
If other ROM's for the T530NU work for other variants, then I'm sure this rom will work as well!!
All I can say is
*MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FOR THE JUST IN CASE
*MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE FLASHING FOR WHAT DEVICE
*BE PATIENT UPON INITIAL INSTALL (FIRST BOOT CAN TAKE ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES
If you do decide to give it a try, PLEASE post back your results and/or comments so I can update the OP

I am not really pushing here for major development on this device, but if I have something build that is different that a "Stock" version rom I usually will share.
Of course "Interest, appreciation and thread participation", play HUGE parts on update frequency and future development!!!
Did you end up loading up v1?
As of right now there has been almost 60 downloads and I have yet to get a single response about this build? I will build more, including a fully Inverted, customizable version if interest is here...
Actually I have the T530, not the NU one but I would imagine it will still work. I'll give the ROM a go tomorrow and see how I fare and let you know.

Been running your rom on my T530 (not NU) for about 3-4 hours. Funny to be back to a Samsung like ROM having run other ROM's like BlissPop. Your ROM runs very nicely and I don't have any problems. I went for a totally clean wipe, data/cache/dalvik and system. During installation/setup I had Google Maps force close a few times (who cares?). Didn't affect installation of the ROM. ROM took about 10mins or so before I saw anything other than the Samsung logo on first boot which is totally normal. I had some 21 apps update via PlayStore after boot. So far all is good, very nice job on the ROM too.
Such a great tablet and/but ROM community/support for it is pretty low. I'll keep running this as my daily driver and let you know of any issues I run into. Thanks for your support! Any chance of a 5.1.1 update or Marshmellow update?

Thank you very much for the feedback! If there were more users like you this place would be packed with eager excited devs building and updating. But like you said, low community participation and feedback. No real motivation for people to share work that may already been done.
I'm glad things went smooth for you and that this "Initial" release is working and functional! There are a few mods in OZOP Control that aren't working yet, but they will eventually! It was a lot of work removing all the mods from my current version to build this Initial version.
I usually don't even release a mostly "stock" Themed version because I can't stand the white Backgrounds!
You just might have given me the motivation to build v2 the "Inverted" version...
As far as 5.1.1 and further, I will definately update as "Official" samsung versions are released. I usually only build from stock samsung bases to reduce bugs and problems.
Lile I said, this is my girls device and I haven't followed the update progress, what is the most current build? Do you have a download link? Zip or tar? I can extract and Deodex pretty quickly these days! Lol
Thanks again bud. Enjoy and remember this is just an initial release and some things may not work yet.

Ya, no it's solid and definitely a daily driver. Games and everything else seems to work without issue. It's kinda nice having a bit of the old Samsung look and controls. I did find those broken controls you mention. No biggie for me. With Google+ happening more these days people have moved on in that direction. You know, no feedback can also be considered a good sign too. People are first to complain, than lay compliments. While it may seem the community has lost interest (here) ROMs like Tipsy, Tesla, Blisspop do also continue in Google+ world. Way I see it, with that route, just allows them to do things by their own rules. I prefer XDA which allows me an opinion without harsh results. Glad you decided to post here. Anyway, you can count on me to test and hope you do release an inverted version. I plan to run this now as my daily driver. Cheers!

I find solution for this . Need replace pronto wlan.ko on the way system/lib/modules/pronto/ . I made flashable zip from T530_....OD8 rom .
I just found this a minute ago, im about to flash now I will let you know how it goes. Glad to see you are working on this tablet. Im a big fan of your work on the S5. I used the missing link all the time when I had that phone.
I couldnt get wifi to work. I am using a T530NU.
There is a newer firmware for this device Just letting you know in case you decide to update it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/links-galaxy-tab-4-official-lollipop-5-t3102844
Putting this on my kids tablet hoping it will extend his battery life and heat problems hope to see more work on this tablet. Sucks big time that samsung just left this great device to die.
Hi, thanx for this work, it looks like it needed a lot of time for such customization. .. it s a bit sad to see how few people are reporting here their feedbacks. ..
Please, if possible, can it be written in the first page what is sure it doesn't work and eventual known bugs?
I found some days ago an sm-t530 like new for 110$ and I m trying to set it in the best way, but choices are much less than what is available for my s4... I think in this weekend I ll give a try
The wifi doesnt work so I never tried anything else I just went back to CM. Hopefully the developer decides to work on this more because he does some great work but for now you should check out another rom.
