LED Light Won't Stop Blinking - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an LG G3 Stylus running CM 12 (5.1.1). Whenever I restart my phone my led notification light flashes as if I have a notification but I don't. The led continues to blink abnormally for about a day until it stops. Then it functions as normal, only blinking when there actually is a notification.
I need help on finding out what's causing my led to blink. I downloaded Light Flow to see what was causing it but it always said no active notification.

LED stops blinking?

I've noticed that my LED for notifications stops blinking after awhile even if I haven't checked my notification. Is this normal and if not, where can I change it in the settings?

LED Light Glitch?

Whenever I turn off my Galaxy SIII in to stand-by mode, my LED light indicator stays on, and is a brighter white color, with some green and red, instead of the normal blue flash that it gives for notifications. It doesn't blink, it just stays on constantly. It only does this when there are notifications.

You just answered your own question. If you have notifications, the notification LED will be on to tell you about it when the screen is off. Remove the notifications and the light will turn off. Alternatively, use Lightflow to get better control of the notification LED.
I am aware that the LED light comes on for notifications, however, it seems as though the LED light is glitches for this one situation. I have narrowed it down to Google+ as the reason for when it does this constant white light. It doesn't go off, the LED just stays white. I will just have to disable notifications for Google+. Thanks for your help!
light flow is verry good, i love it
try it out and cancel the notification if its annoying you
I'm with AT&T, my GS3 only show red led when it's in standby mode, most of the time it's red LED. I've never seen blue/white led show on it except during boot up I think blue or white lid up. What's red led mean? White/blue mean? Thx
Also the charging light is orange or red? But it doesn't seem to change to green when it's fully charge! I'll try again tonight to confirm! Only thing I did is root it with supersu cwm only everything stock! Is there something wrong?

hey i'm having the same issue. i have a verizon version and have turned off all led notifications inside the menu options (charging, low battery and missed notificaitons). i also tried clearing all notifications, rebooting phone, etc and this behavior still happens.
as for using the lightflash program, that's not really an option for the us phones as there is a bug in the app with the us versions of the phone.

i was able to fix my issue with a factory reset, but i haven't fully reinstalled all my apps. i am basically not reinstalling any apps that have to ability to prevent my phone from sleeping and have ability to control notificaitons. i have narrowed it down to 5 apps that may be causing this issue and slowly add each one back to see which one is the culprit.

Apps causing trouble to LED notification light?

I found that some apps interrupt my S3 notification light, for example Go Launcher EX. After I installed this, the LED notification light doesn't work, it doesn't blink when I was charging and for incoming message. However, it did blink when I charging with my phone off. After uninstalled, LED notification works fine again. But today after I installed easy touch, it doesn't blink again What actually causing this? Did you guys having this trouble?
How about this app

[Q] Notification Light Problem?

Hi All,
I noticed that after not touching my phone for awhile (say an hour), any LED notifications for things such as email or missed texts don't light up the green notification light on my phone. It works great if my phone was somewhat used within say the last 30 minutes, but once I wake up in the morning and unlock my phone, I see my missed texts and at that time it lights up the green LED. I have all my LED notification settings set to on. Am I missing something? I hope this is not normal, otherwise what's the point with an LED light?
Well first thing...the device actually only will show a notification for 5 min w/ the blinking light. Then it just stops until the next one comes in.
You also could be experiencing the wifi data bug I am seeing...the one where you basically lose your connection to wifi just by being connected. It doesn't tell you that you have no data connection, it just randomly drops off.
Wow. Only 5 minutes? Is that normal for Android phones or is that an Sense thing? I've had other Android phones before in the past, but with no notification light.
