im trying to update my g5 on straight talk att but everytime i search for the update it just says checking for software update. and only shows up on LTE wont show on wifi.
UPDATE: its working ON ST ATT network. installed lastest patch
try set date on yesterday and check once more.
nothing happens..
software update is available but when i go to WiFi to try and download it doesn't do anything

My parents just got a new Unlocked US Edition Moto G 2014, and it is on Kit Kat out of the box. I was assuming it would just update to Lollipop during the first boot. But nothing, and checking for System Updates is not working.
We do not yet have a SIM in this new phone for several more days.
Since I am not there in town, I do not want to try and drag my parents thru the awesomeness that is sideloading an OTA.
So basically - Can Android OS Updates like Lollipop be downloaded strictly via a wifi connection (using the System Updates feature) on a SIM enabled device like a phone. Obviously it is possible on wifi only devices like tablets.
Does anyone have any official proof/documentation of how this is handled? Or even users posts showing it not working until a SIM is installed? I don't want to waste any more time trying to get the update if a SIM is required on a phone. Which is odd because my phone is Unlocked - so there is no "Official Carrier", so who provides my OTA? The carrier I choose to use? Motorola? Or Google?

Ill get right to the point, I'm on the latest FW 10e and whenever I try to enable bluetooth it clicks on and looks like its going to enable then doesnt.
The BT switch simply just turns itself off. No errors, nothing, just will not enable.
Just got my H850, booted up and on 10a FW out of the box.
First unlocked bootloader and flashed Modem/Bootloader/Boot to 10e versions and to latest Genesis rom
Still same issues.
Tried flashing back to stock 10d FW using KDZ and still having the issue.
Anyone have a fix for this or is this a HW issue?
I do not have a Sim card right now as I was waiting for AT&T to ship it..
I got my LG V10 H961N dual sim last night. It's running on 5.1.1. When i check for update in "About phone" it says "Your phone is not registered yet". I tried the factory reset but no use. I also tried to update it from LG bridge but it also gives error while checking for updates "Cannot check the software version. Try again". Does anyone have any idea ?

So yesterday I successfully unlocked my Galaxy A50 from Three network and ported my number to 48 network. Went to a phone fix shop to get the phone unlocked and it took about 20 minutes (cost me €25). Everything about the phone and 48 network works fine. However, when I went into Software update in my settings and tried to download and install the latest software update, I receive the message "Your current software version isn't supported. Visit a service centre".
I never had issues with updating software before and after checking online it seems that maybe the software updates are carrier locked (to Three network) and that if I want to update the software I would need to put an active Three SIM into the phone.
I rang back the guy who unlocked the phone and he said that people never come back to him with this issue after unlocking their phones, but if I wanted he would be able to manually update the phone and in the future it should update automatically, but this will cost €35 as he said he may need to backup everything and upload it again and it's a lengthy process.
It's either that, or find a Samsung Service Centre in Ireland (can't find any on website) or put a Three network SIM in any time I want to update.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Would really appreciate some help!
Hi, i got lg g6 h873 before i could get calld and test messages but after reset i got a message service data blocked. I cant get the apn configuration. I even replace sim card. I already tried the phone information but ibcant turn off radio cause the application is not supported on this device.
Also, how to update without computer if its possible, as it says not registered on software update. Cannot find proper solution.
