Problem with BootLoop (customROM) - Honor 5X Questions & Answers

PROBLEM SOLVED, THANK YOU !
Hi.
I just recently rooted my Honor 5X (KIW-UL00 , it's the chinese model)
I then tried installing a custom ROM, the LineageOS. Problem being that I was stuck in a weird BootLoot. When I rebooted the system, it showed me the usual Honor page for like 4-5 seconds, then the loading screen for LineageOS. After like 10 seconds, the animation stopped, the thing crashed and my phone restarted to the Honor page, then Lineage, then crash ... So I booted my phone with TWRP, tried Wiping the Cache and System and started over again with installing Lineage. The same thing happened. I then tried with 3 other custom ROM'S and the same thing happened. I don't know what I did wrong, I am wiping my cache and Dalvic each time, but I can't figure out what to do.
I'm looking for someone who could help me fix this. I am thinking about flashing the stock ROM, I just don't know how to do it, because it seems different than the custom ROM'S
PS: I'm looking for a kick fix, because I kinda really need my phone xD
Thank you!

Ok so, quick update, I got rid of TWRP by flashing the stock recovery over it. I tried to follow this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/help/honor-5x-kiw-ul00-boot-loop-t3449554
(DigiGoon's first answer) but it told me that the installation failed.
So in short, my phone is actually in a endless bootloob, trying to boot no ROM, because the're none.

what's the stock system version you were running before you flashed the custom rom? B418 is the latest non VoLTE firmware.

It was Marshmallow 6.0.1... I found my mistake
We can't downgrade using the SD card method and I was trying to install 5.0
Now I need to find the stock version for the KIW-UL00 6.0.1

you can downgrade with the help of hisuite by huawei.
if your stock system was above B422, you can use this patch to stop the bootloop,
just flash the file in twrp after you flash the rom. https://mega.nz/#!tK51gDRL!S9oYLBTeFDbN0hOCzt5jQ5DYECObFC08YMr-Kml6scc

Problem is that I dont have any ROM or custom recovery running on my phone. I can only acess the bootloader, the eRecovery (that for some magical reasons, doesn't work for me) and the SD card installer, that also doesnt work because the only thing I can find is a UPDATE.APP that is on 5.0, when my phone was on 6.0.1, which doesn't work.
HiSuite doesn't even connect and I don't know what VolTE is, can you explain?
Can someone can help me in finding the Stock ROM for KIW-UL00 (the chinese version of Honor 5x) on android 6.0.1. I can find those for every country except china...
EDIT, I was able to get back on TWRP, so I can add files in my phone

haubudam, i freaking love you dude, you saved me
Thank you SOOOOOOO much

My version of the firmware is B245. Your patch did not help me, there is no newer version of firmware for KISH-UL00 than 245. What should I do?

It was necessary to update the stock firmware to the latest version and then flash custom.

I had CM13 official build installed, all was well until I had OTA update which I have done many times on that phone as well as others. After update I was unable to login as my password/pin no longer worked. Factory reset solved that problem and when it booted back I was unable to read sim card or connect to wifi or even Bluetooth. Trying to flash stock resulted in failing. I tried using dload which results in fail. as well as extracting update.app and using fastboot which does flash however stuck on boot loop. If I install a stock rom through twrp it hangs at flash screen. If I flash cm13 it boot but I am unable to use 4g/wifi or anything.

Yes
u did wipe every thing before u flash stock ? u should fully wipe ur device . ( data, system cache , dalvik and internal memory ) all this should be wiped then u can flash each img throw TWRP to same partition , try again should work with stock then u can go back to CM !.
Yes through twrp and fastboot. Also when trying to flash using update.app I am on stock recovery
while wiping u got any error ? of success with 0 errors ?
No errors that, I don't think
When I try to wipe using stock recovery (factory reset) it always fails. Although I can wipe cache

Try using dload after flashing stock recovery through bootlaoder.
I did, I just feels like I have tried every combination and every trick to get this up and running. IDK it seems like the cm13 update messed up a partition and only cm13 works and only partially works because 4g and wifi are not working at all. :'(

Well that could mean there is a problem with your EFS partition. But I don't know how an OTA could have messed it up. How did you update CM13? Did you use CyanDelta?
It was OTA which was flashed through TWRP recovery
In About Phone check to see if Baseband and IMEI numbers are shown. If not then something must be wrong with your EFS partition.
Going to stock through Huawei updater is the only way to fix this IMO, unless you have made a backup of your EFS partition earlier.
Try the Huawei update using another firmware since the one you have may be corrupted.
only sollution is trial and error,,
just make it a two way..
if you have stock recovery, try rollback package and install lollipop
and if youve twrp, download a lollipop firware backup and just rostore..
any one of those will get you on emui3 and you can start it fresh again..
gud luck

having issue with EFS without a backup for it is like breaking ur device , installing stock will always fail .
if EFS not recognized or missing the only solutions is service center only .
and if ( only ) if the phone works he will not be able to get any network to work .

Can I know which version of stock ROM you are On before flashing custom ROM ?
So I contacted Honor support and they said since I unlocked bootloader that my warranty is void. I asked if they have out of warranty repair and they said they do not. Seems like my phone is now an iPod Classic with a touch screen since I can't even use wifi or Bluetooth. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fully restore this phone I am all ears

Your problem is that you were on b360, you should look for stock firmware for your device below b360, maybe b340 or so, and you have to flash back the custom recovery in order to flash the stock firmware, you'll have to use the dload method search for it in the forum guides section of honor 5x, what you did was okay it's called "clean flash"
But since you were on b360 the roms don't boot
Edit: this is the stock recovery for your phone https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/twrpbackup-stock-recovery-backup-t3523916/

Just an advice, always do a nandroid backup before flashing a ROM in case there's a problem you will be able to restore your backup.

If you wanna return to stock ROM including stock recovery etc. use MiFlash to flash stock fastboot image, guide = http://en.miui.com/thread-565784-1-1.html
It's really easy, just follow from point B).
I'm on RR nougat with fanvo kernel and redwolf recovery, i want to revert back to stock miui rom(only rom, i would like to keep redwolf), can you guy's show me the step? I try to flash stock rom 9.5.9 global in redwolf but failed. TIA

Im pretty sure you can just download stock ROM from http://en.miui.com/download.html (down ATM for some reason) and flash it normally, also dont forget to flash lazyflasher since you are going back to stock. (Redwolf might be taking care of it, not sure)
I allready try it sir, it failed. Failed when flashing system in recovery (not finish flashing stock rom), phone suddenly reboot and stuck on logo. Force to reboot to recovery, can't mount system, but after reboot recovery everything back to normal, and flash RR again so i can use my phone
Btw, i try to flash miui 9.5.9.0 NCFMIFA, sorry for my english

You are kidding right? This is not even full ROM, this seems like incremental update package (only 45.1MB) that's why you cant flash it.
Just wait till http://en.miui.com/download.html is working and download latest stable or developer ROM and flash it.
Edit:
Here is link to stable 9.5.10.0 http://bigota.d.miui.com/V9.5.10.0.NCFMIFA/miui_HMNote4XGlobal_V9.5.10.0.NCFMIFA_2300218819_7.0.zip

Flashing the stock rom using OrangeFox recovery works? I'm on Lineage OS by Zeelog
Mido is a really cool device. I was using MiracleDROID from the beginning. Best ROM ever made (just my opinion). But it is not supported anymore. Thanks to Hikari no Tenshi and Lakku.
I can't call some telephone numbers anymore. No clue, why. I would like to "reset" the phone.
FW: org. stable ROM then following attached guide.
Is that a good idea? Any help or experience is appreciated.

Probably you will need to root again!
It will format the partitions before flash the new one.

Hmm.. It is a simple Ota update so maybe it won't format anything.. But I'm thinking after Ota update done maybe the root is gone.. And for the Android 10 if you root your phone after flashing magisk always need to perform a data format..so I don't want to lose anything yet.. I don't know.. ?

Hmmm....
Better to understand how magisk perform the root to understand where files go, i think it do something in boot.img and that is one if the images that Will be flashed i know, i updated it yesterday and a little tweak i had done was gone.

Yes the magisc use boot.img for root. So the new Ota update will get for sure a new boot.img.. So my phone will no more be rooted.. And if root after that I need to clear the data.. So.. No reason.. Better no update ?

i tell you that because i think stock recovery reset some other partitions that TWRP doesn´t reset. And you can always change again to TWRP.
But it worked for you is what matters.
I've updated my mi 8 lite. I am using orange fox recovery, updated it using OTA (orange fox also sports it since you keep some auto generated files at sdcard) and I had not to format data partition. In fact, the update did not erase any user info. The only thing I had to do was to flash magisk zip again and voila, root is back and full functional again.

So try Odin & in n 90% of the cases it should work. If it doesn't, if you can still unlock your bootloader, do so & flash TWRP. Then flash this rom + kernel. It should work
