About Us:
ColtOS Project is presented by a team of learners and it is crafted from lineage Source with optimal but all the necessary customisations. We have cherry-picked the features from many other roms/projects and we are very thankful to them!! The OS is still in beta phase and growing like a vine. So, although there are no remarkable bugs experienced, if you find any, please let us know with a logcat.
Flashing Instructions:
- Verify that you're using the latest version of TWRP
- Perform a FULL WIPE as described below if coming from another ROM or a different version of Android
(A full wipe is when you wipe system/data/cache)
- Flash the latest version of the ROM
- Flash recommended GAPPS linked below
- Flash Magisk if you want root
- Reboot and ENJOY!!
**If you fail to follow these instructions, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If you use Xposed, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If you use another kernel, please don't bother reporting any bugs**

D851 build is up!
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634792920

So far so good after a quick install and set up. Everything seems to be in order. No problems to report initially on the D851. I appreciate your time and the opportunity to try this ROM.

I also have the D851 Have you had an issue with the navigation bar settings? Forced close for me on both fling and smartbar settings. Time to go to sleep for me. Gonna play around some more after work tomorrow. Ditto on the thanks as @Cablespider stated
Sent from my D851

I just went through all of the nav bar settings and not a single fc. Everything worked.

No problem. Thank you for try this ROM and for review it

Any chance you could make a test build for the D850?

Substratum is working properly. No problems at all with the handful of themes I tried. In fact, Color Engine gets disabled when an applied Substratum theme is detected. This is my first time using Color Engine, and I was worried about the two conflicting. Everything looks proper. Very nice! :good:

New build is up for d855!

Waiting for the d850 version. Rom looks great!

Cablespider , I don't know what I'm missing with settings closing when I try to setup Smartbar
settings. l have the latest twrp /3.1.1 ... magisk/13.3 could it be a bad download? Thanks in advance

D855 lg g3
Am already surprised that the Rom , At the first official start without Heavy flaws, runs smoothly and has a lot of setting options, color engine is great, but is not available when you set a substratum theme, The game with Artx Kernel is amazing Thanks to Stayn Artx Dev! And of course the camera with 4K is already crazy!
Thanks For the Work!

Since it's an LOS based ROM, I opted to use LOS's SU add on. That would be the only difference in my setup, other than Open Gapps. I used the latest pico version.

I use with Magisk. No problem here. All builds is tried before release on XDA.

Jealous, do you mind trying a test build for the D850? Would love to try it! If you can't, that's OK man.

My kernel works great with all ROM's, but this ROM really makes a difference, it's very very smooth and stable, no problems at all, Thank you @jeal0us

1. Important information
This thread is meant for the development of BeanStalk for the Nexus 4 (Mako). The following will not be supported here:
Custom kernels
Mods
Xposed
Different GAPPs package than the one mentioned in post #1
We don't support Xposed and any logcat which includes a Xposed module will be ignored. You're kindly invited to not report bugs if you:
Flashed a custom kernel
Installed or did mods from untrusted sources
Modified system files
Flashed different GAPPs than linked in OP
Missing a great feature?
Then join the BeanStalk teamchat and let us know about it. Go into Settings > About phone > About BeanStalk > Beanstalk Slack.
2. Information on updating an earlier BeanStalk version 6.x
Before you are going to migrate to a newer version, I highly recommend that you back up your apps & data with Titanium Backup in order to prevent data loss across a full wipe and if making a dirty flash would miserably fail. For doing a backup you could use this APP for free from Playstore.
2.1 Updated instructions for dirty flashing:
Advanced Wipe (this includes dalvik cache, system and cache)
Flash BS ROM, then BS GAPPS
Boot system and enjoy BeanStalk goodness!
Important: You should use the GAPPs from the OP, and only this GAPPs Package (for dirty flashing), other GAPPs packages will likely cause issues.
2.2 Meh, dirty flashing didn't work?!!
Full Wipe (this includes all partitions except for internal storage)
Flash BS ROM, then BS GAPPS
Boot system
Setup your phone and start Playstore to load Google account, etc.
Install Titanium Backup and restore your apps incl. data.
If now any app should be force-closing, you need to reboot into recovery and wipe cache & dalvik-cache.
3. Information about getting LTE to work
The ability to switch to LTE was tested on an unofficial build of the CM 030816 mako nightly.
You need to switch radio to "LTE Only", and then to "LTE/GSM (auto)" results in LTE data becoming enabled.
4. BeanStalk for Nexus 4 change log:
FYI.. Kernel up to BS 6.11 was based on CM-13.0.
With BS 6.12 I decided to start my own hellspawn kernel which is based off of hells-Core N4 kernel (b88-M) by @hellsgod. In order to keep it pure and fast as hell, I decided not to put too many enhancements into it.
You can find the change log in its dedicated thread.
With BS 6.18 I decided to switch to Revival kernel which is based off of Semaphore kernel by @stratosk.
You can find the change log in its dedicated thread.
BeanStalk 6.25 - **** FINAL VERSION ****
* Kernel update: Revival r09 (defaults: dyn_hotplug / ondemand)

BeanStalk 6.10 - 03/15/2016
ROM compiled with JDK 8 and DragonTC/Clang 3.9
* Android 6.0.1_r22 (MHC19J)
* Pie has been removed. Edge gesture service was depreciated and removed by cm as it was outdated and causing problems... Pie depends on edge gesture service, so with that being removed, pie needed to be removed as well.
* Added tons of optimizations to increase performance (thanks Screw'd AOSP, BenzoRom)
* UBER TC 5.3.1 for kernel compilation
* DragonTC: primarily designed for marshmallow ROMs. The latest Clang toolchain 3.9 offers extra functionality that Google doesn't have, such as LTO, Polly, OpenMP, and Snapdragon Krait optimizations (Bid thanks @frap129 for [LLVM/CLANG] DragonTC ~ The future is now).
* Update Kernel Adiutor with tweaks for my n4 kernel (Big thanks to Grarak for the original app. Miles thanks to yoinx for the enhanced mod version).
Kernel R04 includes a ton of stability fixes, tweaks and features, just to mention a few of them:
* Ramdisk: use fine-tuned values to balance out between performance & battery life, and which I personally use in my n4:
** CPU gov: use intelliactive (ultrafast)
** Change CPU min. frequency to ultra low: 81MHz (saves energy when phone sleeps) (anarkia1976)
** Enable Intelliplug and tunables (faux)
** Hotplug Profile: Use Performance
** Enable Intellithermal and my values (faux)
** Enable Fast Charge (faux)
** TCP congestion control: use westwood
* Added a knob to enable/disable msm_hsic_host wakelock (franco)
** Misc Controls: Prevent msm_hsic_host wakelock
* Added a bunch of very promising CPU governors:
** hellsactive (thanks hellsgod)
** Intellidemand (thanks flar2)
** lionheart
** pegasusq
** smartmax
** smartmax_eps
** yankactive (authored by yank555-lu)
** yankdemand (authored by yank555-lu)
** disable govs: performance and userspace (useless)
** many updates for conservative (thanks franco)
* Added Mako Hotplug by franco (default: off; disable Intelli-plug if you want to use it)
* Replace faux voltage table with Userspace CPU Voltage Control (thanks franco)
* Added Gentle Fair Sleepers (default: off; can be altered in Kernel Adiutor)
* Added I/O scheduler: zen (anarkia1976)
BeanStalk 6.08+ - 02/24/2016

* Fix for lockscreen blur
* Fix for Settings keep crashing when going to Settings -> Notification drawer -> Notification Customizations
* New kernel version R03 with a few goodies from AK kernel (thanks anarkia1976)
** Qualcomm's Slimbus driver and related tweaks (overclocking the slimbus brings benefits to the audio)
** Ultra-low CPU clock frequency (81MHz)
BeanStalk 6.07 - 02/03/2016
* MMB29U
* Add back LTE to radio access family
* New kernel version with Franco's Gamma Control and latest improvements from CM's mainline kernel:
** Franco's Gamma Control. In order to tweak RGB/Gamma settings you are required to install the Nexus Display Control APP (Big thanks to Francisco Franco for giving it for free to XDA members). Do not open the "Screen" settings in Kernel Adiutor, otherwise your system will go into reboot!
** Enable USB OTG for testing purposes (untested)
** TCP congestion control. Enable BIC, CUBIC, WESTWOOD, YEAH, ILLINOIS, VENO & VEGAS. Set WESTWOOD as default.
BeanStalk 6.06 - 01/17/2016
* MMB29T
* New kernel version with lots of improvements and enhancements picked from faux123 LP kernel (big thanks!), e.g.:
** Enable O2
** Use UBER toolchain 5.3 to compile kernel (credits Cl3Kener, txuki2005 for GCC5 fixes)
** IntelliThermal (replacement for Thermald)
** IntelliPlug (intelligent hotplug cpu driver with eco mode; enhancement for MPDecision)
** CPU gov: bring in intelliminmax & intelliactive
*** Intelliminmax: designed to work with the newer SOCs with fixed voltage rails (ie MSM8974+ SOCs). It is designed to work within those
fixed voltage ranges in order to maximize battery performance while creating a
smooth UI operations.
*** Intelliactive: based on latest Interactive cpufreq governor from
Google. The original Interactive provides smooth UI operations but suffers
slight battery drain due to its aggressive policies. Intelliactive is an
improvement built on top of it.
** Allow extreme CPU under- and over-clocking frequencies (at your own risk: be careful when doing this)
** Allow CPU undervolting
** Allow using Turbo Boost
** Add support for kernel mode NEON
** Add Simple GPU gov
** Add SIO I/O scheduler
** Add support for sweep2wake/dt2wake
** Add Sound Control
BeanStalk 6.05+ - 01/10/2016

* Statusbar: Add smart pulldown (thanks SlimRoms)
* Settings: Fix seekbars (thanks scotthartbti)
* Statusbar: Fix network traffic autohide
* Mako specific:
** Use CM's setting for 'radio access family' to potentially fix network problems when switching to 2G
** Bluetooth: Enable SAP profile support
* Slim down the GAPPs in order to fix potential problems when dirty flashing
** Remove Google bootanimation (12.5MB), GoogleCamera (38.3MB), PrebuiltDeskClockGoogle (7.5MB) and Google SetupWizard (3.9MB)
BeanStalk 6.05 - 01/08/2016
* Kernel compiled with UBER toolchain 4.9.4 for increased speed and battery life (credits Cl3Kener)
* New features currently only available in my mako build:
** network traffic indicator in statusbar
** haptic feedback in quick tiles
BeanStalk 6.04 - 01/03/2016
* Import BeanStalk German translations (appr. 99% completed)
BeanStalk 6.03 - 12/26/2015
* Initial release (MMB29M)
Releases with postfix notation, e.g. "6.08+", are meant as hotfixes and contain additional stability patches.
Todo list:
* Add support for USB OTG
* Add franco's gamma control
* Add support for F2FS (I tested this in my device, but didn't really feel much of a difference. Thus I reverted F2FS support and have not planned to use it in my new kernel)
* Investigate why restart system UI is not working
* Investigate why Lockscreen Blur is not working in nexus 4
* Check whether there is a device/rom related problem with Bluetooth. See report by @kushal.purkar: I can't connect to my MI Band. I can connect with other phones but not nexus 4. I can see Bluetooth Mac id in Bluetooth scanner app but can't really pair it. (logcat)
* Navbar resizing in landscape mode (portrait works perfectly) doesn't work, but it does in DU ROM

With gapps of Txuki I've done everything right. The link is in the first post of the thread.
Fantastic on getting the Wireless Display working properly. I was just about to jump back to a 5.1.1 ROM just so I could use my Windows Wireless Display Adapter. Many thanks!

I actually used open gapps pico with no problems. Well... I had problems when trying to keep my data, but a true clean wipe fixed everything.

went back to cm13 and all is working fine.
Ambient Display & some features.
It's amazing to be back on a ROM iv liked since KitKat days. Love the experience so far. Only had a few queries about features:
1. The Ambient Display doesn't seem to work,
2. Can't find the option to activate Network Traffic Indicator in settings and
3. Is it Themes compatible because when I used one theme the 'System.UI' stopped working and I had to re-flash the ROM.
Thank you!

1. In my phone the screen wakes up every time when a notification arrived. Other than that screen doesn't wake up when I pick up the phone. Is this the issue that you have observed?
2. It is not implemented. Not sure if it was planned. I need to ask Scott about this.
3. Which is the theme that has crashed for you? I have installed several ones. U should be careful to select themes with cm-13 compatibility. I use "Blacked-out". It just works fine..

Hum.. well, I have tested the gapps by txuki in this ROM, and everything works fine. You can of course make experiments with different gapps packages. But when you screw up things, please don't point with your finger!

1. Yes, it does but only once. Afterwards, if I pickup the phone it doesn't wake.
2. OK. It will be nice to have it, though.
3. I had Cosmos which was supposed to be a cm-13 theme but it didn't work.
And how can I update the SuperSU binaries because Titanium backup prompts everytime I launch it.

Push is working here for me, are you using batter saver/optimization, do not disturb?
What variant of moto x4 are you on / firmware?
Are you installed on slot A or B?

Everything works for me except the Always On Display. The inactivity display works. But unfortunately the AOD is not.
PM box had a few messages so I'll answer here in public.
The difference between this ROM and the GSI is the GSI is meant to be compatible for multiple devices while this ROM is specific for Moto x4. My opinion between the two is you should usually favor a ROM over a Generic GSI (meaning you are likely to get better support and targeted features with this ROM made by @SyberHexen ).

It was installed to slot A and I tried turning off battery optimization for apps and things came in but not even close to real-time. I had to revert to stock.
Can you help me in this https://pastebin.com/XaS9Gm8g ?
I cannot compile for my device (g6 plus) and I try to do one for of your (x4) and appears the same error :s
Thanks in advance

Sprint is working on my Fi variant, What variant/model are you on?
Slot A or B Install?
Are there any default apns listed? Or will it just not save new APN?

Im on the retail 1900-1 variant. I installed FROM A which from the instructions says itll be installed ON B so i guess to say for sure its on a slot B install.
when I try to change apns it will not save if you change the mnc part of the apn and it disappears and there are some default sprint apns that pop up but they dont do anything. Im not sure what apn settings to choose
also it does work for texts just not for data(3g/4g) which is weird. What preferred network type are you using?

Have you updated slot B firmware to PIE?
You could try this app to change settings https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SIMAPNCheck
Are you editing an existing apn?
I was able to add/save a new test apn with no issues
Which firmware it's necessary to flash? Because i have the Android pie stock rom

It should all work the same.
All you need is to be on the pie firmware already.
(your device variant)
If you haven't setup-up B slot with pie firmware (which can be tricky)
* then I recommend installing to slot A.
Provided you have the factory image to return to stock if needed.
