Unbranded Car Stereo Head unit, After factor reset Radio works but no App sounds - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I did a factory reset; now everything still works but the only sound I get is from the radio. The MP3 player, GPS, all of that has no sound. I've tried the few things I know to try, checked the wiring, no idea. Been trying for over a month.
My only thought is the reset deleted some kind driver the head unit needed. However; I can't find the make and model to try to find the software so I don't brick it up.
I love this thing and when it worked it was great, now it's just sitting in my dash basically useless. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
On a side note; if possible I would like to upgrade the software to run Verizon messages+ for 100% handsfree use. If that is even possible and of course if it can be fixed. Again; many thanks in advance!

Help. stuck in headset mode ! :(

I was using a plantronics headset on my xda earlier (using the 2.5mm jack) and now I can't get any sound out of my xda even with the headset unplugged..
The phone is not covered by any warranty as I bought it second hand, and I have tried to hard reset, but still no joy.
So i'm guessing i'll have to open it up and take a look, what parts should be contacting to give normal operation? (or what parts would cause no sound if they were touching?)
Many Thanks
Neil
Plug the device in again or better yet use the device's original headset
Soft reset it and then pull the device out.
Sometimes the contact gets stuck and causes the device to think something is there when it is not.
Removing and resetting fixes the problem...
Did for me at least a copule of times
WOOHOO!!
Thanks mate, I now have sound again

i had a look at the sim holder and its missing a "tooth" so that doesnt hold it in properly, so i carefullt glued the simcard down with some superglue
this fixed it for a few days and thinking everything was ok loaded everything up on it, and it was fine, then it died again. and i cant work out why, any ideas..
and what backup program should i use so i can keep my settings/games/programs?, and how often should i backup?

EDIT: i should probably add that although the phone bit doesnt work, the pda bit does, works perfectly, i just dont want to have to ditch the phone, and get something crappier, n adn just use this as an mp3 player, as i have a 1gb sd card
does anyone know where i could get a sim card holder.....one like in the pic, so i could re-solder it?

[Q] What is the internal tiny battery for?

The battery at the top of the screen between the speakerphone and headphone jack. What exactly is it for, and can the phone function without it? What would the consequences be?
Thanks in advance!

Maybe it is a way for the "man" to track you. I saw Mission Impossible. I know how these things work.
Bet it is some backup for clock or GPS. Unplug it and see what goes haywire.

i think the tracking theory is probably right, i watched MI too haha
I just found a service manual and it labels it as 'backup battery'
removing it is kinda tough, seems stuck but i'll see what happens. most likely for remembering date/time when regular battery is removed.

It's happens the same to me. I think is normal with the update.
I have seen another comment like it. Let's see if it happens to someone else ... certainly little desire to buy a Xiaomi again.
I have updated to V12.0.6.0.RFQMIXM and the error continues.
But this is not a mistake. When you connect headphones that support any of the options, it does let you choose.
In this case no, before I could connect the headphones and select the codec.
I have also seen that there is another bug, sometimes they call me on the phone and when 5-10 seconds pass I don't listen. if I put the speaker if it can be heard perfectly.

Now it's possible too, if the headphones support it. I've checked it.

Can't watch some channels on FuboTV on Rooted Moto G Power

Hey guys, so recently I got FuboTV and it's been working great on all my other devices, except my Moto G Power. The issue is when I try to watch channels like ESPN or FX, I get an error message that says: "Sorry, your streaming device isn't compatible to play this video." I've looked up the meaning of this message and apparently, this shows up for devices with unsafe protection. Now I assume 100% that this is because it's rooted but I've already tried the most common fixes to these things. I've used magiskhide, put the app on the denylist, and used rootcloak- none of these worked. I do have Zygisk if that matters at all and use Xposed as well. I'm not sure what else to do and I really want to watch the shows I'm paying for, if anyone has any solutions, suggestions, or questions, please let me know. Thank you.
