Unable to flash TWRP - Huawei Y6 Questions & Answers

Hello all I have a Unlocked Huawei Y6 Elite (LYO-L02) and it seems to me im unable to flash twrp at this time cause everytime I flash into fastboot then type the usual command to flash the recover it immediately fails with this message "FAILED (remote: failed to get download permission because status is locked!)" does anyone know what would be causing it and how to fix it? I really wanna get on with rooting my phone ive already tried several one click root methods none have seemed to work so im wanting to get root via custom rom or superuser

There is a BUG. Your phone is locked but it says it's unlocked. A lot of people already reported this. You have to re-unlock it.

This error can occur when the bootloader is still locked... when you boot to the bootloader (power off the phone then hold volume down while powering on) it will display FRP unlock in red if you successfully unlock the bootloader otherwise I believe it displays something like FRP locked in yellow which will be the cause of this error...

New fastboot unlocking command

Hi Guys, Just to let everyone know the command for unlocking the bootloader is now "fastboot flashing unlock" oem unlock will return an error and no longer functions.
Isn't the command just "fastboot oem unlock"?

Not anymore it would seem.... fastboot oem unlock returns an error
according to the android developer FAQ, "flashing" is the correct command, but I can't figure out why.
https://source.android.com/devices/tech/security/verifiedboot/verified-boot.html
God, I thought I was going crazy. Unknown command error returning had me confused as ****. Good to know I'm not the only one.
it made me start to wonder if OEM would somehow trigger the fuse, whereas FLASHING is specifically designed not to. anyone know why there's a "unlock bootloader" switch in the developer options within Android?
Is it confirmed that 'fastboot flashing unlock' is the new command now then?

I know, I spent ages trying to get it to work on my Laptop and Desktop before I discovered about the new command. It was really getting annoying as I was desperate to setup the device but didn't want to do it before the bootloader unlocking wipe.

I've just unlocked my bootloader, and the Qfuse is still enabled, so it's all good. :good:
What happens if you flash TWRP AFTER unlocking bootloader?
I came across a cautionary note that you may bootloop.
fron 5X forum
"So I fastboot unlocked my bootloader and flashed TWRP straight after. Now stuck in bootloop between "your device software cant be checked for corruption" orange screen and TWRP first install Failing."
.
Before I try anything trying to sort out how Marshmallow alters unlock, root, flash game.

TWRP isn't available for the Nexus 6P yet!
But when it is available, we'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it.
Also if I'm not mistaken buttons to get to Fastboot are now Vol Up+Vol Dn+Pwr vs old Pwr+Vol Dn

So what causes the Qfuse to blow?
Being a Nexus device shouldn't command be fastboot oem unlock. Curious
On the official Google Developers Factory Images page it’s still “fastboot oem unlock”.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/fastboot-unlocking-command-t3233722/page2
To add to this also make sure your Android SDK is fully up to date

Can´t unlock Bootloader

Hello,
situation ist this:
Cyanogen Recovery is installed and there is no rom on the phone. But it won't install a new one through apply update. So I tried installing twrp through fast boot. But it failed with:
FAILED (remote: Device not unlocked cannot flash or erase)
So i tried to unlock it which gave me:
FAILED (remote: oem unlock is disabled)
oem devices gave me tampered = false and unlocked = false
What can I do.
Would appreciate help
Morishno
Flash stock recovery and try unlock again.
Dumb Question but how exactly do I do that?
Just flash it via fast boot? And where do i get it?

You dont need to be sorry, thats okay i jus asked... Maybe OP didnt enable oem unlocking.
I didnt enable oem unlocking because it wasnt necessary. The device was unlocked and twrp and cyanogenmod were installed. But somehow cyanogen recovery was installed. Super user was away and I tried to reinstall it. Not knowing the recovery had changed I chose twrp/cwm to install it what resulted in a boot loop. No problem I thought just flash a ROM which didn't worked. No problem just flash a proper recovery it didn't worked. And somehow the device is locked again..
Sorry I was little brief when I said flash stock recovery. I believe if you revert back completely stock you can start the process from the beginning again. That would mean fastboot flash stock recovery then any firmware of OnePlus X. I'm not sure how a bootloader can relock itself.

Found a hard brick guide. You mean that?
So I just remembered something was able to help someone else with a similar issue. If you can boot Into something and your rooted download the app Rashr. With it you can flash stock recovery and be back in business.
The problem is i dont have anything to Boot
//UPDATE: So I tried booting with fastboot boot but it said cannot boot device isn't unlocked.
Edited
So i managed to save the Phone using the Hard Brick Guide. Thanks everyone!
Thank goodness for the hard brick guide. ?

No need to rollback.
If root os no more required- just boot to recovery, flash the unroot file, boot normally.
Flash the stock recovery, boot.
Do factory reset and boot.
Boot to fastboot and relock as
Fastboot relock <16 digit code>
If no root needed-
Boot to fastboot and relock as above command.

I want to go back to Stock rom without own backup

Rommco05 send me his Backup and i want to install it.
He send me a manual:
Ok here is steps what do another person:
1. enter to twrp and install this backup https://drive.google.com/open?id=10_...rqZe8hm0sdezJ6
2. bootloader will be relocked. You must again unlock bootloader!
3. enter to recovery (if I good remember recovery will be twrp)
4. make factory reset
5. try boot to system
Now i installed the Backup. But now i must relocked the Bootloader. Now i have a problem.
if i type "fastboot devices" then i got my serial number and all is fine.
but in next step ---> "fastboot oem unlock" i got this error:
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.016s

Are you guys still stuck? Frp lock happens when you try to install a custom recovery without enabling OEM unlocking in developer options. To get out of it just flash a stock firmware and do a factory reset.

Before anything else, there are few types of frp.
Which are you referring to? Does the frp pops up on the startup logo. Or does it asks you for gmail.
Depending on which I can help, tell us everything first.
