[FIX][23.08.2017] Custom Kernel Stutter/Lagging Fix for 1.27 rom base - HTC U11 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Develo

Hey guys and girls,
Here is a flashable zip that should fix all stutter problem with our custom kernels on new rom base 1.27.
Took a bit of time to find the cause but it´s finally fixed.
Just flash this before you flash a custom kernel on base 1.27 and you are good to go.
Download: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120757360
and in case you want to revert to 1.27 stock kernel:

Also thanks again to @velimirchek for testing

Or
Install this and then install kernel without reboot?

I would always suggest reboot between any flashing, IMHO.
----
Edit: @ivicask @LlabTooFeR maybe you can add it to hub / aroma

Well all our carriers now use latest 1.27 kernel (Even Sprint) and have no stutter problems, why not include the fix in your own aroma installer of kernel?

All good, just a suggestion if people want to run other than stock kernel on your ROM.
Ie. Elemental and Cleanslate don't write anything to system.
Nevermind

That’s why I posted the flashable zip here so everyone can choose what he wants.
I think what @velimirchek means is that for example @LeeDroid can include it in his aroma zip because he is offering to install clean slate kernel in his aroma installer. Since your offering no custom kernel in your zip afaik it would just make sense to include it in your venom hub. But users that decide to flash a custom kernel can also just look here :highfive:

Thanks guys... Finally a solution to test out the latest EAS kernel.
And yes some custom kernels would be nice in the ViperU Aroma.

For ease of mind, I've debugged kernel and seem to have found a solution that is solely in-kernel zImage. Check here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73517199&postcount=255
If everything works as expected, I'm gonna release a stable one.

My pleasure to be the first one in OP !
With wishful regards to my brother, UpInTheAir for his hard work I'm writing to inform people around about the biggest problems I've experienced with this kernel since MM.
I was afraid of flashing stock ROM, hence I waited about a week to have a debloated/tested custom ROM.
Once one came out, I had to have both bootloader and modem flashed to make custom MM ROM working, I did and everything seemed to be happy at the moment but problems started to ruin my head (some of them still exist although)
I had problems with sudden screen off with the only solution of hard rebooting, Synapse couldn't be working and this kernel is much more power with synapse.
Any how, after 2 weeks of pain I tested something stupid which worked for me.
I flashed a stock ROM with odin, then flashed TWRP 3 and then a custom rom and at the end kernel flashing procedures. the only problem which still exists is charging while phone is off or even rebooting from recovery/bootloader while phone is pluggen in with USB cable.
Everything else is working so fine.
I really recommend to flash a STOCK ROM instead of BL/MODEM only.
by the way, since presence of supersu 2.68 so many issues have gone as well which wasn't available at the time of initial releases of SkyHigh nor Marshmallow for Samsung.
congratulation

Where is download link ?
so, does it mean I dare to flash 6.0.1 with odin and flash this kernel to have the latest Mashrmallow without deep sleep issue, lagging and any battery draining culprits recently introduced in samsung MM based on rooting ?
my main reason to migrate to MM is absolutely Doze feature to get rid of some battery draining issues in LP and because of BPB6 bootloader I'm afraid of flashing MM until I certainly be sure about having all features I had in LP.
By the way, why SELinux is enforcing ? any technical limitation? any solution to set it to permissive ?
Amount of software I'm using are extremely SELinux dependent and I hate any kind of SELinux, KNOX and restrictions in Android OS.

Geez . . .impatient. I am preparing the thread !!! It takes time
If you didn't like MM, easy enough to downgrade again
Enforcing for now, features added later. Hopefully, something like my 5.1.1 kernel
For now, you can use SELinux Mode Changer app to set permissive (if needed). It think it reset after reboot.
I'm tired . . .
That was fast!
FEEDBACK: The Kernel works nicely and Root is also working!
Just exact steps from post #2.

Friend Ready to Get Nitrogen For Your Angler..
ROM and other Mods Links are in 1st page,
But before flashing you've to need Bootloader,Radio and Vendor images..
I suggest you please Flash all images with Fastboot commands...
Make a full Backup of your Whole Angler including Nandroid backup just in case...
And then start flashing. I highly suggest you Don't restore your EFS partition until you need them.
For Android N you've to need for TWRP 3.0.2.2 or Unofficial TWRP 3.0.2.3..

My two cents is to try the inbuilt root and kernel first, if you don't like it, then flash away.
But I believe you need he latest supersu ran as systemless mode for ad away to work, which you need the ad away system less zip. I can host the zip if you need it.

Actually I love RR but I can't prevent myself to flash N ROMs,After trying a lot I stay with Nitrogen, Because I found Nitrogen has a lot of similarities with RR in terms of Customization, And yes I'll definitely Revert back to RR when @varund7726 announced official build that is coming soon, Because official CM 14 experimental build for OP3 has out and we'll get for Angler soon.
So I think Its good to wait for them who only want RR for Angler..[emoji4]

Take that profile you have (hawk tail) and rename it and delete the .txt part. Then drag that file into the elemental x file on your internal SD card (this is where all profiles go)
Open up elemental x manager, hit CPU, turn on the blue toggles for interactive on the first two options, then hit governor options (I believe its the third option down) once the page opens, hit load at the top right, then scroll down and select hawk tail, then hit apply at boot. Then make sure you find touch boost, it may say disabled or enabled already, you can touch the word touch boost and you'll see it change from enabled to disabled or vise versa, then hit the button power button to the right to activate the disabling.
That should do it. You'll see your CPU sitting lower way more often, saving battery.
If my instructions were unclear, I can upload a step by step with pics here if you need

Quick question... I know you made this thread to talk about Roms we are running. Are you OK with the off topic conversations? Such as governor profiles, battery life, and such?
I just want to keep this thread as it was intended to be. Lemme know if we should steer the conversation into a different direction.

So best way to flash?
Full wipe, like the "swipe" wipe before we flash a ROM
Flash ROM
Flash kernel
Flash this mod
Also, I use Gboard, so I should be okay with the wiping keyboard issue, right?
What if I don't wipe?
Do I need to flash this Everytime I flash a ROM dirty?

I haven't had any problems with viper. Try the older Fluence patch. The 2.28 one. I flash the newer ones I've had a little problem here and there but not much. 2.28 seems to work well with me. But we should really be all asking questions or stating problems in the original thread by Muistone. This way he can help us.

Also, when I did flash in Aroma, I didn't know what a lot of the options were.

Mine works fine. Even Bluetooth in the car, I don't have to hit the blue reset app no more. Strange but true. Even with arise or the WETA mod, I've always had to use that app before. The Fluence already wipes if you choose it. But i like to factory reset again to be safe.
Where is this factory reset I in twrp... Couldn't find it.

It's the default wipe when you touch the wipe button.
Right when you mentioned about Viper. I was testing it out. So I kept on hitting next next next next next and my ARISE did the same thing. So I'm going to request Muistone to make the audio quality "optional". I think it makes some adjustments to our build prop.
I dirty flashed my rom (WETA 4.8.5) then flashed the patch (I chose the custom build prop and the dirty flash option w/in the patch) and it's not doing it on viper any more.
anyone have a good keyboard flashable zip?
So, to be 100% clear. The first time we flash this patch we must clean flash. Then updating a ROM dirty style we just flash the patch after the ROM flash correct? No need for wiping again, but we just flash the patch Everytime we update our ROMs??!??
I just want to be sure, thank you!

About ROM: Firstly just install rom and sound fix (or other fixes which you used) and boot. Then flash gapps pack. Setup Wizard has problem on me. I tried stock versiyon 20160408. Maybe other one is okay.
Sound is good. It has Pixel UI blue, not green.
P.S. If you use Sound Fix v4.1 please flash this one. Original one has build.prob and it changes to Android version and other things related to build.prob.

Edit : It's for both variants.
How do we know it's safe and legit?

Quickly you have time to monitor our forum and post links. How to firmwares, like it?)
An AOSP ROM only available on a Russian (' half legal ') forum?
Maybe it's not a good idea to use such kind of ROMs without proper github sources.
This post goes against the rules. Its gotta be your own work, not some random link to a forum in another language. You can make reference to it in the general section, but not here. Sorry
Please one of mods move thread to Q&A section or somewhere else.

97[rom][deodexed][7.0][debloated to the bone]

Heavily debloated June patch DEODEXED Nougat ROM for SM-G920F/I only.
Alpha testing done -> Beta testing done.:

There won't be much info here yet. If it turns out to be working, then this post will be updated.
I've been running this ROM for 2 days straight, and have 0 issues. I started to make this ROM for my self, but decided to share it anyways.
Feel free to test it out, just be aware, that your favorite apk most likely didn't make the debloat-cut. That said, the footprint of the rom, is around 1G.
I take no responsibility, if you decide to flash this.
#BUGS#
Aroma can sometimes stop in the extracting process.
Just reboot, and try again, then all is fine.
Please report back here or in the group.

Feel free to use Aria's add-on zip, if you need some of the apks back, that didn't make the debloat-cut.

Thanks for your concern, but no rules have been broken.
According forum rule #11, it's ok.
It's always great to see new roms,I really don't like all these mods and ports and what not and have always preferred debloated roms so thanks for building this, il be giving this rom a go once I've backed things up.
