Amazfit Pace Watchface Maker for windows - Amazfit

Guys , I've found this watchface maker for windows on Huami BBS site, it took me a while to register there and find it using google translate , so I'll post it here , if that's ok.
I can't post credits since I don't know chinese , so if anyone is kind enough to find it , I'll gladly edit post.
Also, if author of file on HuamiBBS didn't give a permission to share , which I didn't come across with google translate, I'll remove it. Anyways, I reckon it will be helpful in previewing your watchfaces, since it can import, edit, save , etc.
It has one exe and one dll which is english translation , I think. For me , it starts in english by default

It does have a number of bugs, and some features are quite oddly implemented, plus it doesn't match the actual layout you'll see on the watch, but it's a good tool for testing watch faces you've made with features that Fabio's site doesn't currently support.

I would like to see some watchface maker that allow us to change icons color or even simply remove them. I found few watchface pictures from samsungs s3 that could be reproduced, but I miss that maker. Or it exist and I missed it?

For me it starts in Chinese, and I couldn't find where to change it... =(

Have you tried to change you PC language to English ? Someone told me that it could be the way to use the Face maker in English. I haven't tried it yet on my own...

What additional features are there?

When saving watch faces I get the message 'object reference not set to an instance of an object'.
The first time I only had a background image but I did not select the image.
I think it works the same way for time hands but doubleclicking the time digits does not allow me to set something.
Any idea how to fix this?

This is a limitation of the API. You can't make such a watchface for pace, unless it is an apk.

Wen I open an existing digital watch face I can see the actual time in the time digits and the clock is ticking. In the one I create I can only see an empty rectangle.
How to make sure the time is visible?

Editing Animating Flip Clock HTC style

Hi, I modified Animating Flip Clock Widget Beta, created by Peppernut Studios, htc style for my wildfire in the "... ldpi" folder.
I have not changed the code or the name or the size of objects, only the font (which I renamed), the background and the two white boxes where the numbers are put, playing with transparency in PNG images, and I've signed with Auto-Sign v0.65 (for me that I am not a programmer is a miraculous thing).
I'm not interested in the weather, only the clock and its animation, which works beautifully, and the result seems very good, at least for me.
What interested me know is this: if I find out how to change the name, make the other folders (...hdpi and ...mdpi) I can post?
Maybe someone else also like ...
it'is really cool can you doing an mdpi version?
italiano: bello, potresti fare una versione mdpi?
Hi all, I changed to my delight this free application in the Android Market, Animating Flip Clock Widget Beta, created by Peppernut Studios.
I wanted to put on my Wildfire, with rom CyanogenMod 7.1 256 nightly, an animated clock on the type of stock on some HTC (everyone has one but not all of it is animated), but you can not run on the Cyano.
Not being interested in the weather, I focused on this app.
I changed the images and font, without modifying the code, replacing the png files and font directly into the apk open, in fact keeping the proportions established by the author and the names of files, but playing with the transparency of png files.
It should not be unzipped the app, but you have to put items directly nell'apk open (which indeed is but a particular zip), folder in the right positions.
After I signed the file with Auto-Sign v0.65, because otherwise it would not work, and you're done.
Works well
I always wanted this anim...but wasnt the case on wildfire n stock rom & i just rooted my phone two days back with CM nightly latest build...and found ur post..I ws so glad tht yu made the Flip clock to actually Flip I jus luv it dude..looks awesome..thnx a ton for sharing it man

I'm not interested in the weather, but still I would not be able, I'm not a programmer.
Changing some images is different from changing the code.
Rather, how did you set the single digits for the hours?, I did not succeed.

As the author of Animating Flip Clock Widget I feel flattered that you've taken it upon yourself to modify my app. Though a link to my original thread would be appreciated.
It's been a while since I've updated this app, but I am working on a completely rewritten version of it. This one will look more like how you've changed it, though it also contains animated weather. So if you're interested you can keep an eye out here on XDA, or on my website.

Just to set the record straight, it was me that made the clock actually flip. But I can understand it might be confusing who does what when so many different technologies are involved.

Animating Flip Clock Widget uses one digit for the hour in AM/PM mode, and uses two digits for 24 hour mode. So if you want to change this, go into your phone settings and select the date/time setting and there you'll find a tickbox for that.
Cheers

This clock uses a different technique which would involve replacing not just a few images, but a couple of hundred images. So it might be hard to find someone willing to put an enormous effort in to achieve that.

I apologize, it was not an intentional thing, just a mistake in composing the message in English, which is not my language, I edited my first post (other thread I opened in Italian, and there I have always mentioned) .. .
Rereading the posts, I saw that at least in the second I mentioned.
Anyway, thanks for your excellent work, on wildfire works beautifully and I removed all other watches that I had.
It would be better if you could increase the size of the watch, but it is good enough.
'll Check your site and your thread Xda

No worries, and thank you very much.
My new version will indeed have a slightly larger clock, but I do try to keep it in proportions.

Hello, I've come up with something, because you are the creator of the app.
A friend of mine has one of the latest Samsung and app slows it down a lot.
The directory that is used is the folder drawable-hdpi.
great work.....
if you increase the size of the clock it will be my default clock.
in my 3,7 display it's a bit small

I came across this Thread and was wondering if any dev could resize for our Wildfire...

Amazfit BIP: custom watch faces?

I know the Pace faces can be customized, but how about the Bip?
Any way to at least invert the colors?
Also, anyone noticed if battery drain is higher with a seconds-ticking design?

My Italian really sucks, so I might not have gotten it correctly, but doesn't this just allow you to change watch faces to other ones that are ready (prepared by other modders), rather than allowing you to create your own watchface?
Now you can easily edit watchfaces. bitbucket.org/valeronm/amazfitbiptools
WatchFace.exe *.bin -> json+resource

Almost all faces i got from here (i haven't tried all yet :silly: ) only updating step counter once a minute compared to the official one (the one that comes pre-installed with the firmware) which updating the counter directly. My question is does anyone know how to adjust this behavior by editing the json file?
This post is pretty old but there seems to be 2 third party apps for Bip Watch Faces by now. Pretty solid collection too.

No, it is an firmware feature. It is non-fixable. That is the reason why I stopped using hide on lock. Hide on lock is just full screen icon with transparent holes and there is no way how to set layer priority or similar function, so other functions like weather, step circle etc. are drawed always on top....
Makes sense... Suprised the order in the json doesnt set draw order.

[PROJECT] Better WatchFace API through HuamiWatchFaces.apk patch

Hello everyone,
Currently the available commands/API we can use for the creation of a *.wfz watch face is very limited. We can create in-line digital clocks through images (can't separate hours from minutes), normal clocks and very limited widgets (steps, wather, battery etc). What if we could patch HuamiWatchFaces.apk in order to make it support a wider range of commands?
We will need to:
- Decompile the HuamiWatchFaces.apk (with the odex file):
I managed to deodex the whole system of stockfield (US 1.3.5) using this software tool.
So, this is the HuamiWatchFaces.apk deodexed: View attachment HuamiWatchFaces-Stockfield-1.3.5-Deodexed.apk
Using APK Studio you can decompile it and see the *.smali files. OR
Using dex2jar we convert the classes.dex file (unzip the attached) to *.jar : View attachment classes-dex2jar.jar
which we can open and read with jd-gui
- Change the code to provide a better API (ability to change minutes position, widgets with custom images of percents etc)
We must read the java code and change the smali...
- Repack back to apk OR provide a patch for the apk
What i have found until now:
(see file: classes-dex2jar.jar\com\huami\watch\watchface\widget\TimeDigitalWidget.class)
- AM/PM are drawn outside of the screen (position x 203, y 1). We could create some xAm and yAm parameters BUT currently they are no READ from watch.xml + they are not passed to the approprite function
- Different position of hours and minutes exists but parameters are not read and they are calculated based on the width and the time position
- The indicator ":" is always turned on (parameter: mEnableIndicator), it needs to be read first
- We could enable the display of seconds... (parameter: mDrawSeconds), it needs to be read first
- Parameters are read in file: classes-dex2jar.jar\com\huami\watch\watchface\util\WatchFaceConfig.class and declared in classes-dex2jar.jar\com\huami\watch\watchface\model\WatchFaceModuleItem.class
What do you guys think?

Where on the device is that APK located? I'd like to take a look.
Yo can take a look to the PACEfied Watch Face app here.
Let me know if you want to take a look to latest 1.3.5 US Stock Watch Face app too.
We would like the stock 1.3.5 version too, since pacefield is the Chinese version
I have pulled the one from stockfield from the temp folder of your installer. I suppose its the same with the official right?

Maybe a Good reference wfz file is the "night run" wfz, because it's the only one witch show the seconds even in standby if you reactivate the watch using the automatic Wrist spin.

BTW is there any stuff to do with I can support you? Have only a little bit of xml knowledge.
Excellent work, this can help to modify watchfaces with percentage bars, and increase sphere creation possibilities

Somewhat. You would need to do it manually by recreating the watchface. Here's a starting point - http://amazfitcentral.com/2018/01/19/make-your-own-watchface-for-amazfit-bip/
I made some watchfaces for the Pebble (Rotomotion, Pointer and Hobbit Neue were the most popular ones) and recently moved on to an Amazfit Bip. I ported over Pointer, but since the Bip has a wildly different set of possibilities and limitations, some watchfaces will be very difficult to adapt.
That said, I'd be happy to take a look if you want a specific watchface ported over.
Do you think it would be possible for this kind of watchface?

Is it possible to port the ever-famous "Sliding Text"? I know there is one version available but I would prefer if it reads the time more "legibly" like "thirteen fourty four" instead of "one three four four". Could you please try to do that? apk or wfz watchface

Hi guys
Just wanted to hear some opinions about watchfaces for stratos
Which is best apk or wfz ???
Both
can someone please explain what is the actual difference between apk and wfz watchface
wtz watchfaces is that what you see, in one of those have settings to change Hour and minute hands, some information to show, another doesn't have this option, static graphics
apk watchfaces, are more complex, can show more information to show, animated graphics
