Edge AOD with Email/Text Notification? - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Themes, Apps, and Mods

Has anyone seen an AOD that will at least show me a small notification on the edge that tells me I have an unread email or text?

The app I made for s6e+ will work, but you have to modify features.xml first to activate edge feeds for s8+ (sammy deactivated them in nougat). The feeds will still work, but some dev would need to change the panel layout to fit the s8+ display size....as it stands right now, you can still see parts of your lockscreen when your display is "off"... and I'm not too interested in pursuing this further.

Custom Edge Notifications?

Any way to get custom edge notifications? Like say a Green edge notification when I get a message from facebook messenger? Don't want to use the app from the app store which makes the whole screen turn on with the edge a certain color

Wait for Samsung's future updates !! :good:
There's also this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...nt/advanced-feed-development-request-t3086530
Which at least tries to hack the Edge features, although for a different use case/with a different emphasis. Maybe it's still worth a look?

Status Bar Icon Issues

Has anyone noticed the application icons on the status bar are moving to the left and the native ones to the right are moving to the right towards the bezels. This happens often and normally readjust itself. It is most evident when using the phone and receive a call and the icons are showing behind the popup caller notification. Is there a fix for this to lock the status bar?

I have the screenshot but i do not know how to send it. I thought it would have been a simple attach but it's not. If you can assist with that i would appreciate it.

Galaxy S7 Nougat lockscreen only showing two notifications

lockscreen only shows two notifications and the rest of them are hidden. I can swipe down to reveal the rest but I would like to see them without having to do that.

Pop-up notification color

Does anyone know what controls the background color of the Pop-up notifications, also known as Heads Up notifications? Not the Samsung edge lighting pop-ups, but the regular Android Pie ones? Mine are an ugly yellow/brown color, and I'm not sure why or if I can change it. It doesn't seem to be affected by night mode or Samsung themes. Any ideas?

Yes, that can change the transparency of these on the lock screen, which is great, I like them fully transparent, but none of the options there affect notifications while the screen is unlocked.
I realize some Samsung users may not see these, instead turning on the Edge Lighting option which captures these notifications and turns them into white bubbles that can open an app in a multi window. But those who don't use Edge Lighting, what color are your heads up notifications?
Googling about this just brings up hundreds of pages of instructions on how to block the heads up notifications, and nothing I can see about their appearance, so that's why I'm asking the forum here.
I would be curious to know if we can change this as well.
ANother thing I'd like to modify is their postion - why do they not start from the very top of the screen?
I dunno if you guys have figured it out or not but you can control the colors using QuickStar in Good Luck. BG color and font color of the heads up notification is the same as the Quickpanel colors. The only thing you gotta watch out for is that the panel BG alpha (or opacity) doesn't carry over to the heads up notification. So if you choose a white BG and set the opacity to 50% it will just be a 100% opaque white in the heads up notification.
PS: this website's mobile version is horrible.

[APP] Arc Lighting - Notification Light for Galaxy Note S10

Arc Lighting adds a highly customizable ring of light around the camera cutout of your phone. You can use this light with various indicators such as audio visualization, notification lighting, critical or low battery warnings, as well as a charge indicator. The ring can also appear on your Always-On display. (to make aod work you need to make sure you have downloaded always on amoled and activated it, you also need to make sure samsung stock aod and samsung edge lighting is disabled under samsung display settings you also need to make sure that aod is enabled under arclighting with override set to off)
Features:
- Highly customizable lighting for the Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, and Note 10. Select a variety of colors, animations, and styles.
- Always show ring with various gradient effects (add multiple colors and make them spin for a visual experience)
- An adjustable glow effect that can be turned on or off
- Notification lighting both when the display is on or off (update planned for only the lockscreen or only inapp)
- Music lighting that syncs the light to your music
- Battery indicator lighting for charging, low and critical battery states. (note it will not work until you configure the zones you want the colors to appear)
- Device overheating indicator for gamers and power users (note it will not work until you configure the zones you want the colors to appear)
- Arc Lighting can be configured to match the color of your wallpaper, the app you're currently in, or both!
This app requires certain permissions to function correctly.
Accessibility: This permission is used for the ring to appear over your lock screen, always-on display, and for accessing the color of the current app you're in. This permission is required for the app to function properly.
Draw Over Other Apps: This permission allows the ring to show on top of other apps. This permission is required for the app to function properly.
Microphone Access: This permission is used to analyze the internal device audio for the music lighting. You will not be asked for this permission unless you choose to enable the Audio Visualizer indicator for the ring.
Storage Access: This permission is used to get the color of your wallpaper. You will not be asked for this permission unless you choose to use the color of your wallpaper for the ring.
Notification access: This permission is used to change the color of the ring after notifications
Burn-in concerns: Some Android displays may suffer from mild burn-in if a single item is displayed on the screen for an extremely significant amount of time. If you are concerned about this, feel free to enable the rotation animation in ring settings. That will ensure the display is constantly changing. Alternately, you can disable the default effect to only show the ring while an indicator is being triggered. Note: Samsung Galaxy devices come with burn-in protection that moves the pixels a little each time.
