Hot pixels on rear camera - Honor 9 Questions & Answers

Hi I just found out quite disappointing thing, that I have a lot of hot pixels on rear camera. They are best visible when shooting at 1080p something dark (as in attached picture), but they sometimes appear on photos too. And they are persistent not just shot noise :/. Does anyone have the same problem or am I the only one? Any idea if that could be fixed without sending it to repair?

Is there any marks on back glass?
Use deo and smooth cloth to clean the glass once and see.

Sadly cleaning does not help.

This is clearly a hardware problem. Better have it replaced.

Better to move faster before replacement ends.

I hoped that there could be a way, because it is actually software problem as every camera has these, but they are just mapped out.
So unroot, relock and send it for repair/replacement.

Regardless being a software problem, you should still opt for replacement.

No. I found out about pixels after the return window. So as it still was under the warranty I sent it to service and they sent it back, that they were not able to replicate the issue and that warranty is void because bootloader has been unlocked. But since that I do not see the dead pixels, so we will see.

No sir, I said it for the lulz. It is possible to overheat and Im sure overheat to the point where your phone doesnt work anymore, melted solder or whatever.. But i assure you, you are not carrying a bomb in your pocket. Err, at least the Atrix is not one.

They're "supposed" to thermally shut themselves off before that happens. Now if the battery shorts out, well, you're screwed.

Flashing Phone Camera LED When It Rings.

So, I've got a friend who's LED on his camera flashes as a notification. Its looks really cool and I'd love to see that on my phone. Is there a program that does that?

can i open the camera module ?
I have this problem with the FFC, not the rear, and yes, it absolutely IS a hardware issue. It's a sensor defect in the camera module itself, but since I don't use the front camera, it doesn't bother me much. Only fix: Replace the module. No ROM or software will fix it.

fingerprint scanner

is there a way of making the fingerprint scanner work just by having your thumb on the scanner instead of having to swipe it on the S5? If the hardware doesnt support that, id not be surprised, but if its a software thing, that would be an awesome mod to have!!
I was wondering the same thing. Would be pretty sweet if it's possible.
