Odin fails on system.img while flashing stock ROM - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have s6 edge with model number sm-g9250 the chinese version but it lacked google apps and had all those chinese apps so by some research I found that there is a another ROM from hong kong (instead of chinese ROM) that should contain google apps so I downloaded it from sammobile (latest one from hong kong) and tried to flash it using odin but it failed on system.img.
The bootloader is locked because it prevented me from instaling twrp earlier saying ny device is locked but I don't think that should be a problem with a stock ROM.
So why is this happening?

Any ideas why would this happen generally?

Did you ever figure this out? I am dealing with this exact problem on the same exact phone/model.

Just figured this out (if you're still having the issue), read this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ash-china-s6-edge-g9250-to-hong-kong-t3647280
theres a .pit file you need. Once you get that it flashes fine!
Good luck!

I'm sorry but can someone please show me where I can find the latest firmwares ?

I went on the samfirmware.com website but it says the latest firmwares are from Jan 2012 ???? how is that even possible ?
I am looking for the latest firmware for Canada. I know it was released recently, because my friends are updating, but I'm on a custom ROM and I just want to find the latest ICS firmware and flash it.
Please help!
try the link below, and you should also check your Region Code first:

It's NOT possible. No offense, but if you can't navigate a website to find the latest firmwares (which are from May for the i9100 as of the time of this post), perhaps you should rethink flashing anything to your phone personally.

[Q] How to wipe OS and reinstall

Hello, i have a Samsung S III I9300, on which after a lot of custom ROMs, i have installed a clean original 4.1.2 firmware the UK version or something, and now i just flashed the 4.3 Orange Romania, which is my provider. The problem is that when i try to let's say search for updates it tells me that i have a custom "bla bla" (can't really remember what it said), and on kies it shows this http: //s29.postimg. org/pacbqv0h3/image.jpg which doesn't look ok to me.
So my question is, how can i wipe it all and install my fresh 4.3 Orange Romania firmware, so that i will get all of those "new phone, straight out the box" settings, AND make it so that it will appear like the firmware is perfectly fine and official, the kind that could get updates and whatnot lol.
follow this guide and you will be fine . http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/fix-s3-to-factory-unroot-stock-recovery-t2323847

volte update of lenovo vibe k5

Anybody got volte update for Lenovo vibe k5.If you got pls give OTA URL...(OTA.zip)..
thank you
To get volte follow the step
1st flash your stock Rom and then configure your carrier and then you can update your phone to the volte version
I did like that, flashed stock ROM,I checked for update, but it was updated to SO33,This build update has not VoLTE support......
If your model is a6020a40 then download s034 ( you can use any version like s033,027)
Then... Flash it using QFil
Then copy the content under country code folder into microsd card root directory.. means not to copy it to any folder....
Then disconnect usb, open phone dialler and type ####6020#
And select india and select begin configure
Wait till your phone configured with india
Then try to update your phone as normal to s102 which is volte supportef
---------- Post added at 04:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:27 PM ----------
If you flash s034 version rom then you can directly update to s102 which is volte... If you flash older version then 1st update it to s034 and then you can update to s102
---------- Post added at 04:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:30 PM ----------
You can find the country code folder in stock Rom directory which you flashed
I flashed stock ROM S027,It showed system update available of build S034,Then I updated to S034,Later I checked for system update, showed update to S036.
Now I am on S036 build,My model number:A6020a40.
If you are from india and flashed india ota country code.. then no way to get s036 version... S036 is not for india
I am from India,I flashed india.ota.zip and india.default.ota.zip after flashing stock ROM by qfil...
I also did the same and now I am using s102
My Lenovo Vibe K5 was bought in UK but not used. After coming to India, I performed all the updates available to see if the phone enables VoLTE but it did not. The firmware version is now updated to S036. Is there a way to enable VoLTE still? Can the firmware be downgraded to S034? Thanks.

Stuck with a old firmware - unable to upgrade to latest ROMs

A family member had some weird behaviour on a Redmi Note 3 using MIUI7 7.5 as I remember.
I looked up on internet and thought the upgrade process was easy. I was an idiot.
This device has a locked bootloader, and I cannot flash legitimately any rom different than Lollipop, unlocking the bootloader officially it's deemed impossible, even a moderator on the MIUI forums confirmed it ( en.miui.com/thread-2526780-1-1.html )
There is some way to unofficially unlock the bootloader, but still the device can only flash Lollipop ROMs, or the baseband will not work, consequently WIFI Bluetooth and SIM cards does not work.
I have successfully installed TWRP, used EDL mode to flash more than 30 different roms, but with no solution, because there is not any rom in sight that has Italian language (except latest stable MIUI9 that it's off limits because not LP)
Anyone has got a device like this?
Is there any way to upgrade the bootloader to MM without losing the baseband?
I don't know too much about this, but you might want to try flashing a firmware update directly, such as the ones from this thread :

best of luck, by the way.
Can you update miui? There is a way to update the do the firmware. Unlocking the bootloader unofficial it's doable, just look in this forum.
I can update MIUI, the latest ROM that i can use it's kenzo_global_images_V8.0.6.0.LHOMIDG_20161025.0000_5.1_global
The newer ones use Marshmallow, they also run and are flashable, but I will not have a working baseband.
The v8.0.6.0 release unluckily it's not fully localized for Europe, does not have Italian and many other languages, or locales.

Just flash Firmware trough twrp

Bootloader unlock tool and initial kernel source code has been released!

You can download them here: https://www.asus.com/Phone/ROG-Phone-3/HelpDesk_BIOS/
The current software version on my unit is WW-17.0823.2007.25. Firmware for that version is available. However, the kernel source code is only available right now for an older version, WW-V17.0822.2005.7. The phone isn't even available yet, so give it some time for updated sources to become available.
Finally, the bootloader unlock tool can be downloaded from the above site. I haven't tested it yet (I don't plan on wiping my review unit just yet) but I'm sure others will once they get their devices.
Sir..how to change CN version to WW version rom
the unlocktool is suck. cant work because "network error"
i was report this issues today and they have update a new version.but no work.
Need info how to convert CN rom to WW full rom
Try to convert CN to WW
Hi guys!!!
I read a lot this days and i could find a way to change CN to WW in the last Rog phone 2. The steps are:
1) Download the unlock tool (find in the asus page). The bootlader is open and you cant get OTA. (later you need to close with boot.img)
2)Download the WW rom and install it with the phone in recovery (find de rom in this pages or in asus page)
3)Root the phone and change fingerprint with root explorer.
------------------------------
Now you must to restart the original bootloader with boot.img flashing....
but the problem is that we havent "boot.img" yet.
once we find boot.img for rog phone 3, we could change CN rom to WW rom...
