It is possible to corrupt the motherboard?
Or it's just from the battery?

Means charge more before turning on

Press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power button with phone connected to charger. If it doesnt work try to connect it to PC, and try power it up with holding volume down button. When it turns on (booted in safe mode!) don't tuch anything just leave it for 5-10 minutes so battery charges to a couple of %.
It is probably bad battery. If you have charger supporting Quick charge 3 it shouldn't be a problem to start charging.

i had same problem i charged with turbo charger(motorola) and now its working

I just left my G5 charging for most of the day, using the POS turbo charger that came in the box, came back to a phone showing exactly the same as your photo.
Then I tried charging with my LG G3 (non-turbo) charger. Took about 3 and half hours but charged fine.
Last time I tried to charge my G5 using the turbo charger, it worked fine. And then randomly, it doesn't work at all. But the turbo charger allows works fine when charging my spare battery in its little LG charging case.
I hate this phone. G5 sucks. Worst phone I have ever owned.

This can happen on a variety of phones if the battery voltage gets low enough. The internal charging controller won't initiate charging because the voltageis below a certain
threshold. When it has happened to me I've connected the battery directly to a power source with voltage somewhere around 4 to 9 volts. It only need a brief boost, the higher
volt source needs shorter time obviously. For ~9v only probably need few seconds. I guess you could use 12v as well, but keep it short.
Then put back and try charging.

G3 Taking 7hrs To Fully Charge

My G3 is at 45% and it says it's gonna take over 7hrs for it to fully charge.
Before anyone ask, yes..i am using the OEM charger and cable that cane with the phone.
I'm on my second G3 and really don't feel like exchanging this one for another one...

Are you using your phone while it's charging? Is it at a high brightness?
When my G3 is charging and I'm using it (redditing, XDA, Clash of Clans, etc.), my charge time is pretty insane as well.

THIS plus if your outlet is weak or not getting enough power it will take forever. I had a surge protector and mine was plugged into the last slot and was taking forever to charge until I checked it with a meter and found the last slot was weak and under powered. Tossed the whole thing out and have had no issues at all.

Yeah i was using it checking email and forums, but still didnt think it would take this long to charge. And in reality it didn't. I mean it took a little long but nowhere near 7hrs to charge. Maybe like 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hrs to charge...and thats with me using it. So i guess that would be normal in all actuality. The time estimate that the phone displays is just off its mark.

Hmm...this also interesting because i do have the charger plugged into a power strip. When i charge it today, i will plug it directly into a wall socket and see if that makes a difference as well.

Problem with choe stadium qi charger.

Hi everyone. I'm posting because I'm facing an issue with the week choe stadium I purchased. I saw that it was highly recommended in this forum. I'm having an issue with it where I wake up in the morning and I find that my phone isn't fully charged (around 80%). Sometimes my phone doesn't even charge at all (even though my nexus 6 says it's charging). I looked at the battery stats for last night's charging period and I found that it charges for a bit, stops, and then picks up again, and then stops at about 80℅. What could be the issue here? Is my placement wrong, or is my choe stadium defective?
Attached is a photo of what the charging period looks like:

What power adapter do you use? It supposed to work with 1.5A above power source.
I'm using the turbo charger that came with the nexus 6.

In using the Choe stadium with the turbo charger and have had no issues.
Highly recommended?? maybe by Choe spammers. They suck.

Lg V10 taking too long to charge?

Does anyone know if these numbers are correct? They look really low to me. After coming from the nexus 6 and it's quick charge capability. I've noticed this is taking waaaay longer. Where are these numbers supposed to be? Of course this is with the lg V10 quick charger that came with it.
I'm grateful for any assistance anyone has. Thank you

I'm pretty sure quick charge variates the closer you get to 100%.
Its odd...I feel the same way and I came from nexus 6 lol
Hell, I feel plugging it to my laptop is faster...might just be my charger.
Ditto -- seems very slow.
280 seems crazy low. 740 isn't too bad although it's much lower than the charger can output. Mine isn't much higher now, either...
940. For some reason the screenshot won't attach.

Mine charges insanely fast 14% to full in just over an hour last night. My proximity sensor on the other hand is driving me freaking batty. (off topic sorry).
I got my LG V10 yesterday and it ran very warm and would not charge quickly at all, even with the fast charger and screen very dimmed. It was actually losing charge even when connected to a decent charging source, and barely held its ground with the LG fast charger. I poked around and one thing consistently was reported that I had not checked - LG's email app and Exchange privileges as a big source of battery drain. I use the Gmail app, so I had not even put my email address into the LG Email app (and I don't use Exchange). On a lark, I put my Gmail address into the LG email app. It was like night and day. Once the LG app had downloaded the emails, everything cooled way down and charge rate went way up. My battery app showed that the temp of the battery fell from the low 40's down to 35 - 36 C, so I'm guessing the CPU activity had also fallen off dramatically. The battery app also showed charging current going from 100 to up over 900 to 1100. I was also able to consistently raise my screen brightness back up quite a bit.

battery good, but always shows battery needs charging!

hey all, i got this phone, i was told just a dead battery. put it on the charger and it never charged up. the screen just showed that i needed to charge the battery. i did the power & volume button trick, and the at&t logo showed up, then went back to dead. so i pulled the battery and tested it for charge. it came back 3.5. then i checked the charging port, and the contact part was broken. put in a new cable & port. still showing battery needs charging. got a different battery, still shows battery needs charging. only booting to at&t logo. what can i check or do next? thanx!
@chowceal
May be battery's calibration is wrong. If your phone's Android is rooted then you can try to re-calibrate it. I use "Advanced Battery Calibrator" app - what is attached - to do this from time to time.
the phone is not booting up to be able to use any app.
@chowceal
The phone tries to charge "by hardware" from whatever you plug it into. Then after some time it tries to boot, and part of the boot process will run off the internal battery.
If the charging happens from a slow charging powersource, the charge in the battery will be insufficent to bridge the "no charging" part of the boot process, the phone will shut down again and not resume charging!
So, if you charge from a "faster" charger, that can provide more current, then by the time the boot happens, there will be enough charge in the battery to bridge the gap.
My advice: Use the factory charger and/or a wall charger and not USB.
That is what I would do:
Plug the phone into the factory charger and cable.
Hold down the power button for several minutes (like 4-5 minutes) - The phone will cycle through several booting/charging screens.
Release the power button, then press the power button to make the phone boot.
Plug the phone into a computer or other non-factory charger; it should begin to charge, albeit slowly.
Finally after it has charged over 10% or more, plug it into the factory charger and see if it charges normally.
Important: Never charge over 80%, always start charging when 30% reached.

My POV: As you are not willing to do as suggested, it is best to take the phone to the repair.
since both batteries were at capacity, i dont see a need to charge them. yes, i could take it in for repair, but im trying to learn to do this myself. o, and thanx for your POV.
and im still looking for an answer as to what i need to test for.

[question] charging issue

Slow charging issue.
I have changed cable but nothing happens.
It says charging rapidly but with turtle speed.

I have tried with my Samsung's phone charger (it is also 5V 2A), but charge rate remains same. Maybe my phone's battery going weak. But it's not even 2 year. It will in Nov.
And one thing more, actually it get fixed today after updating device. It charged at normal speed (an app showed 45% per hour), I usually don't use that app but I use it now to check charging status.
But now, it became again that slow. (App showing 12% per hour. 7hrs to full charge)

i don't think is a battery issue. also my battery is two years hold. i suggest you the original xiaomi cherger with a new cable. a more power charger is not compatible with mia3 tecnolgy. maybe the result can be a slow charging. are you on stock or custom rom? if you are on a costum rom probably is a software problem.

same problem here, but seem resolved with last update. I think it was a loading kernel module problem. the charger is good and the battery too. this is a kernel bug
