I'm considering to buy an Amazfit Pace to track my activities. I watched many videos about it on YouTube, but I have 2 doubts that still remain.
- Have Amazfit pace an Auto Pause when recording run and bike activities? Today I use Strava or Runtastic to record my activities and both have this functionality.
- Is it possible to record any other activity with Amazfit? For example, I usually train with Nike Training Club app and today I monitor and record my activity with Runtastic app. Is it possible to record and monitor my training with Amazfit?

1. Dev (Pacefied) and CN version already have this in their rom.
2. Every supported activity is recorded on watch and Amazfit app.
And is it possible to connect with Strava on Dev Pacefied or CN ROMs?

Yes it is (i currently have pacefied + strava), but you don't need to do this anymore because the US stock firmware also has the automatic pause feature too (new firmware was released just last week to enable this).
It was not released yet, its in beta at the moment. But will be pretty fast

Apologies - you're correct.
I guess it will have come out of beta by the time the OP receives his watch.

i am thinking about buying the Amazfit but i heard its officially not possible to control music when it is running on the phone?
Are there any mods that would make this possible and another question is, would it be possible to sideload Spotify or Google Music for example and use it on the phone?

From 1.3.4f update, it officially can be done. I've tried it on my LG g3, and it works. I've heard it works for Spotify, etc., but you wait for confirmation / second opinion.

No it is not possible.
This is a modified version of android, not many apps work.

Hi,
I have a G3 but the Amazfit is connected to my Mate 9. Updated to 1.3.4f the first day it got released but I'm yet to understand how to control from the watch. I hate having to bring out the phone to change tracks (I use a wired Sennheiser which has no control buttons).
Any tips please?
It has to be enabled in phone app, notifications settings, music remote controler.
After that press play music from phone, and swipe up on the unlocked watch for controls.

I'm running latest PACfied rom, and I can not find the music remote controls, any idea? Thanks!
I've been looking around trying to find cracked versions of the firmware for the Amazfit Bip, and have had little success. Has anyone decompiled the Bip firmware and edited in a way that directly changes functionality? Like being able add new apps like visible music controls, adding a calendar app, or changing the timer app to run in the background? So far, I've only seen custom Bip firmware that's decompiled the resources to allows custom translations, fonts, and other UI resources.

It supports bip and bip lite, you can check videos on youtube about the moded firmware.

thank you very much, thats a very good and simple app! you should put some ads in the app since we only open it to do the setup, that would not be intrusive at all
What an awesome app idea and super convenient. I use the now playing feature on my P3 all the time and I always copy the title and paste in Spotify. This is much simpler. Good job!

Yes, it works on Pace, as long as the mic is still working, of course. Any Android app that supports MIPS processor and is usable in a small screen will work.

Funny, in mid-2019 I am buying a 4 year old watch because it has a) always on transflective LCD display, b) 11 day battery life, c) notifications and d) voice memo recorder.
No other product on the market has the same features.

2021 and making the same choice: just bought my first second hand Pace and wondered why I didn't by one before: always on screen, good battery life, agenda widget, offline maps and navigation, sound recorder...
Audio is stored in microcorder directory.
Format: 3gpp (can be played with vlc player[mips] for amazfit watches)
*_mp3 version tries to set type as mpeg4, but encoding is still amr_nb because aac isn't supported on amazfit devices by default

Untested, but should work with connected Bluetooth headset with mic on stratos. I don't have one, so will be very grateful for any feedback
Tested 3gp version on verge and record correctly. I listen the output on my phone. So MP3 version can't work?

I do not understand why anyone would need "play" feature. Just install vlc player on verge and it will be enough. Also with that feature it will be harder to support stratos imo. I'll add counter in the next version
