UMI Z help with root - UMi Z Questions & Answers

Can anyone give me an app to root it? I want only to move 1 app to system/apps and then I'll unroot (SafetyNet). If you can, give one-click apps like towelroot (not working). Please don't suggest kingroot or any app with privacy issues. On the other hand can I unroot the phone rooted with this guide? community.umidigi.com/thread-2962-1-1.html (I cannot paste usable link)

[Q] install apk as system app

Is there a way to install an apk as a system app? I want to 'unroot' a device but still run an app that requires root access. I'm unsure of how this can be done, any advise would be very much appreciated!
Thanks
I know that the Z4 root app has an option for temp root functions which goes back to an unrooted state once you reboot.
My guess is that you can run that, place your apk in the appropriate system folder, install the apk from there & then reboot.
But again I'm not to sure if temp root functions work on our G-Tabs & if it does if it's as simple as I explained. Worth a try I guess.
Again I'm assuming that your not already in a permanent root state. If so then you'll have to unroot completely first & then try what I mentioned above.
Unless someone has an easier method?
convert user apps to system apps

Titanium Backup Pro (paid version 3.8.1 and higher) has a function that allows one to convert user apps-->system apps (as well as system app-->user app ... though this sometimes causes initial FCs, which generally disappear with reboot).
Not sure if the effect will remain after unrooting.
Just to clear up a bit, not because an app its on /system it will have root access. If you want to run an app that needs root, you need root, thats it. You cant unroot and use the app after that.
So, no you cant do that. Its 2 different things installing an app on /system than having root for an app.

So then how do proprietary apps like Sprint Nascar (as an example) run on an unrooted phone?
Why would Sprint Nascar need root permision?

It probably doesn't or it might I have no idea. The op never pointed out which apps he wants to use.
However & this is a big however, as I have no idea which apps require root access, one has to assume that any of the preinstalled apps that come on our G-Tabs do in fact need root access, yet they can run on an unrooted device. Again I could be wrong.
That being said, how does one go about determining which apps require root access?
Thanks for the replies guys. The issue is supporting proxy servers on unrooted devices. There are several proxy apps that require root access as well as a kernel that supports proxy. If the proxy app were installed as a system app, would this have enough rights to access the kernel as required? I don't know enough about this but was led to believe this might work if it was running as system. Same for apps that use CIFS, like mount manager. I guess I'll give it a try and see what happens...!
Like I said, being installed on System doesnt have anything to do with having root or not.
Im 95% sure about what I am saying.
edit: I confirmed it..so 100% sure, if the app needs root, you will need root no matter where the app is installed.

DigiLand DL718M Root wanted! 5.1 Lollipop!

So, I've tried probably EVERY method for root. I've used iRoot, King Root, Kingo Root, Towel Root, etc. and none of them have worked. Has anyone found out how to root this tablet?
I'm just commenting because ive been trying the same. I'd like to know an answer also.
I'm also looking for a root method. It's very worth it.
I have tried to root my tablet also and cannot find a way to do it. Please, someone help to root the DL718M
I've got root
So there is another thread here on XDA where another user was able to get root with KingRoot apk one click root v 4.8.2 that you can get by searching for it here on XDA. I was also successfully able to root the device and also switched to SuperSu instead of the KingRoot app as it is kind of notorious for being a bit shady. This was done with the app SuperSu me pro from the playstore. It was all fairly easy to do. Only thing is I can't figure out how to get custom recovery and or Xposed framework to work. But all other root apps work such as changing font, root explorers, etc.
I've done exactly that without any success. I've tried KingRoot versions 4.8.2, 4.8.5, and 4.9.0.
I have the same build, kernel and model, and I've turned on Debugging and turned off "Warn about potentially harmful apps". I have tried each version of K.R. 5 time each without any success. Any tips?
Didn't work for me...

I've tried with KingRoot as well, but so far, no luck with it on this device. Worked great to root two of my other devices, tho.
Is there any easy way to root this, preferably without pc?

Need to change Superuser app (and ROM request)

Ok so I rooted my QMobile QTab V6 (Pakistani Company but chinese software) with Kingo Root (kingoapp.com) AND NOT KINGROOT I REPEAT NOT KING ROOT and now I have a SuperUser app by Kingo Root (Not the other one) ehich sucks a lot. I really want to change the default superuser app to SuperSU by Chainfire but I don't know how. I tried to install a .zip file called 'UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93' with the custom CWM recovery I had to install painstakingly with MTKDroidTools and that didn't work and now I've got into an even bigger problem and I can't use either Superuser applications. I'm a noob at this stuff so I need some basic help please. Oh and if possible, can anyone suggest me a ROM for my tablet with the chipset MT6582 with lollipop/marshmallow and how to flash it? I'll be really happy (But it should have tablet functions)
EDIT: So I fixed the problem of not being able to use a SuperUser app and now I have deleted SuperSU and have Superuser but I still need to change

Q: How to root LG X Screen

Hi I'm new here so not sure if posted in the right place.
Does anyone know how to root an LG X Screen? I tried to google it but I wasn't finding anything useful.
Thanks.
Use One Click Root apk
To root your device you can use KingRoot app, which can root many devices without PC. If KingRoot doesn't work, you can also try with Kingo Root app or Framaroot app.
Try use kingroot app
Nowadays, Root is very easy. If u do not know how to root your device then just try to use one-click root apps. Lots of root apps available in the apps market so PC is not mandatory to root your device. I can suggest you few one-click root apps such as Kingroot , Framaroot if those tools not work then u can try magisk manager or iRoot.

Cant uninstall main root app, stops on startup

Hi, I have a samsung galaxy duos, android 4.0.4. pretty old, i know.
anyway a few months ago i found a way to finally root my phone(i couldnt find a good root app that worked) i used kingo root which automatically roots my phone using my pc, after a few months of having my phone rooted, the main root app stopped working and would crash every time an app would request root permission or when i tried to open the app itself.
now the deal is, i cant use my root, i cant uninstall the root, i cant replace the root app, any solution to this?
Well in such case you have to manually remove it by flashing a custom recovery and deleting all the files created by kingroot such as base apk. And the su library planted by it.
All the best:good:
