Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 USB-Connecting Problem. - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

Hello dear User,
i wanted to connect my redmi note 4 to my computer. I tried various things - nothing solved the Problem. For example i logged into mi account( thought this would work )
Then i tried to update the pc suite mi software. But i just found the Version of 2015. i activated usb-debuggung but it still doesnt work.
I looked into my devices and i see my android phone and at the top different devices a yellow triangle pci communicationcontroller(simple)
I dont exactly know which steps i can do to make connection with my PC possible. I really dont want to bother anyone with my Problem, coz time is valueable, but if there is someone who has the ability to solve my Problem i would really appreciate it much.

Is your device rooted?

Some users face problems in connecting to PC.
You can try different steps below.
*) Check if USB driver is properly installed, if not install relevant one
*) Try changing mode from MTP to photo transfer. It sometimes automatically installs relevant driver.
*) If your phone is rooted and you are facing this problem, there are lot of solutions available over internet. Search for your particular issue.
*) If nothing works, try to use applications that can share data between PC and phone. It's wireless and easy to use

[Q] ActiveSync doesn't work anymore

Sounds like USB port is broken.
Hi all,
I've read a couple of threads for several days now, but none of the answers worked for me.
Problem is: I can connect from my HD2 to my desktop PC (win 7) initially, but when I try to install a new ROM (3.14.407_2), my HD2 restarts, shows the four colour screen and nothing more happens. After some minutes, my PC tells me that my phone isn't connected anymore.
It worked two months ago for the last ROM flash, but now nothing helps.
Tried:
- rebooting PPC and PC several times
- deleting partnership and setting up a new one
- disabling "faster connect" for usb to PC settings - afterwards, PC doesn't recognize any connection at all
- hard reset on PPC
I have no idea what to try next.. I wanted to install HSPL2 and flash the ROM from my SD card, but can't install HSPL2 ... same problem.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Infyrana
I also tried several USB ports on my PC
You think the HD2 USB port is broken? But I was able to transfer data when connected as normal device without active sync.
Do I have any chance to check, whether you are right, without having to send my phone to HTC?
maybe running the update in compatibility mode will help?
I thought the microsoft mobile device center (or however it is called) was made for win7, as the actual activeSync tool cannot be used?
So I can't see a benefit from this, but anyway.. I will try.
You could try using BlueTooth with ActiveSync, thats what I do. I have a "micro" bluetooth adaptor for my laptop and it all works fine... just a bit slower.

the compatibility mode for the ROM update file could help becasuse it is a separate application (no guarantee though as I have no way to check it on my PC)
compatibility mode didn't help.
don't have a bluetooth stick ...
no further suggestions?
Just found out, that windows tries to install driver "Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM" when I connect my HD2 after starting bootloader.
But it just searches and doesn't find anything. I searched by myself, but didn't find the driver anywhere ...
if you are really determined to update ROM, find the thread on ROM 3.14 here on xda forum, I recall seeing guidelines on installing ROM from SD Card
of course it will not solve your sync problem, but still...
Yah ... I wanted to install HSPL2 to be able to do install the ROM from the SD card (at least that's what I understood - that I need that first), but I can't install it, as I already wrote.
I GOT IT!!!
Finally.. in a forum somewhere in a forgotten corner of the internet.. someone gave an advice to uninstall the windows mobile device center and reinstall it.
After uninstalling, I had some trouble to find it again, but finally got it.
And guess what: it works now.
Windows managed to install the quadcomm driver and I could update my ROM.
Never had such a hard challenge with my HD2.
Thanks everyone who tried to help!

Given it's more than likely (99.9999%) a Windoze problem, what exactly do you expect anyone here to do about it (or Samsung for that matter) ?

[Q]How to backup with TWRP using ADB?

Hello, developers on xda. Thank you for watching my first post on xda from Japan.
I dropped my cell Mi5. And the screen has broken. Mi5 can't display anything, so I can't do any Mi5 operation.
And now, I wanna backup my app data in Mi5. I tried someway to backup the data, but I couldn't.
Is there a good way to do it?
【MY ENVIRONMENT】
Desktop : Windows 10, ADB is enabled
Mi5 : TWRP is installed, Screen is BROKEN(can't operate anyway), USB Debugging is enabled(but I can't allow the Debugging)
I'm sorry to I can write only not so good ENGLISH like that... Please HELP ME
Hi,
Have you tried powering on your Mi5 and connect it to a PC? Does it not give you the ability to browse your phone's storage? It would require to have the correct driver installed on your computer.
Failing that, the simplest solution would be to replace the broken screen. You can find step by step tutorials on how to do this online for most phone models, I'm sure that they'll be available for the Xiaomi Mi5 as well.
If that is not an option, what you could try is to use a HDMI connection kit, connect it to your phone and to a TV or external monitor. With some luck you should be able to see what's on the screen that way.
Good luck. I hope you can recover your data. And get a cool new phone
Thank you very much for your replying to my post, I'm so glad.
Now I'm trying to restore file using ADB SHELL. It's still working yet. If it failed, I'll try your suggestion.
ありがとう!

Realme 1 issues Android Studio

I recently bought the 6GB, 128 GB variant of Oppo Realme 1. I was excited in the beginning looking at the specs.
But now, I am very disappointed. Even though the phone is great, it isn't serving my purpose. The debug applications run all fine on the phone, the problem is the logcat. No matter what I do, I am unable to get this phone log the events onto to the logcat in Android Studio. I really like this phone and don't wanna just let it go for just this one thing. But at the same time, I can't get my coding done without the logs.
If there's someone with any sort of solution, please let me know.
Thank you.

have you enabled usb debugging?
Hey. Thank you for your reply.
Yes I have turned on the usb debugging..
Here's a list of things I tried..
Disabling and Renabling the usb debugging and the developer options.
Increasing and decreasing the log buffer limit on my phone.
Restarting the device several times.
Resetting the settings of the phone.
Clearing cache both on the phone and Android Studio.
Reinstalling the drivers and reinstalling Android studio.
Changing the USB cable.
Although none of these worked.
Finally, yesterday I factory reset the device and my device is all fine. It started logging again and haven't faced the issue again.
What could have been the proble?? Maybe its one time error?? Hopefully..
you just had to goto
settings->additional setting->developer options
then turn on usb debugging
See my previous reply

Yes I did..
It was just a one time problem. It's all good now..
Thanks
Thanks for the reply Sir. Now I am going to but this phone.
Also it's good to note that adb doesn't work properly when set to mode(USB for Charging)
Almost an year old thread, but can someone help me with adb commands on my realme 1?
1) Do I need unique realme 1 drivers for the device for it to be identified by my PC in the adb list? If yes, where can I get these drivers
2) Will 'minimal adb and fastboot' program work for issuing commands or do I need to get the full fledged android studio?
As of now, when I try to connect (with usb debugging on and tried the usb setting in media, ptp, charging only), it still doesn't identify my device in the list of adb devices
In windows, under device manager, the device is listed under 'other devices - adb interface'
Facing the same issue with my Realme X2 device, it worked for some time and then i tried many ways but it just doesn't show logs in android studio logcat.

USB Issues - will not recognise

HI all,
Apologies if this has been covered here before, but I've been unable to find the solution on looking.
I'm running the RN4X (SD) on the Global Beta MIUI 10. The problem I'm having is that my phone will not connect to the PC. I get USB Device not recognised in Windows, and an unable to enumerate device error in Linux, on multiple PCs with multiple different USB Cables, including the one that came with the phone.
I want to unlock the bootloader, but cannot, as it requires connection to the PC. I was hoping I could force the issue by forcing the PC to use the correct driver, but since the Xiaomi drivers require the phone to be connected to the PC to install, I'm catch-22'd out of that avenue.
I have seen mention somewhere that rolling back to either Stable or MIUI9 might fix the issue, but since I wasn't wanting to actually install a custom rom at this point, just unlock the ability to do so in the future, I'm not sure doing athe full wipe neccesary to install either will give me any benefit.
So I guess what I would like to know is one of the below:
Does anyone know how to fix the not recognised issue?
Can anyone point me at the correct drivers/how to install them without having the phone recognised by the PC?
Does anyone know if this is a known issue with MIUI10 Global Beta, and if it would be fixed by installing either 10 Stable or 9?
Thanks for any and all assistance, I've been bashing my head against this for days with no solution in sight
