Been trying to unlock the bootleader once daily with no success. Always get the same message that 'Current account is not bound to this device' even tho I only have one MI account which I use to login both on my PC and my RN4. Also I have the options USB debugging and OEM unlocking enabled on my device .
Any suggestions guys? :crying:

Wait 1 or 2 days more... Mine unlocked on 5th day eveing...

Did you face the same problem as me?

Did you do what it says?
Bind your device to your account in developer options.

If you mean this
Then I've done that as well

Give it two days
while setting up device,u should log in with mi account, Not anytime later(personal experience).
Give it two more days or upgrade to miui beta roms, they usually have fewer errors while unlocking.

Wait few more days. :0

dude patient's is the secret for unlocking the bootloader

Use latest mi unlocker and also install mi usb driver and dont forget to enable oem unlocking in developer option and debugging option.
Need not to wait for day
Follow this step and you will be able to unlock your bootloader.
Its just a myth these guys created to wait for few days .
I got premission within 6 hours of applying and the moment i got sms regarding premission granted and so in 5 mint i got my phone unlocked.

I'm pretty sure I have the latest versions of the unlocker and drivers.
As for the developer options, I've enabled them as well, as shown in the screenshots above.
Oh well, looks like I have to wait for a few more days.

It is a common error. Wait for few days and it will be fixed

ERROR - Error parsing settingsprefs.js

Hello there,
I'm trying to remove ROOT.
My device is BootLoader UnLocked.
My device is rooted.
My device is running the 14.4.A.0.108 FirmWare.
Searching for help doesn't help me at all http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/help/flashtool-error-parsing-settingsprefs-js-t2805196
My issue is this one:
When I am opening FlashTool64.exe, I get this error:
{

My computer is running Windows 8.1 Pro (updated) on an MSI Z77A-GD65 with a 840 EVO SSD (everything is up-to-date).
I used the disable driver signature enforcement.
I installed a lot of drivers for the Z Ultra in the Flashtool-drivers.exe.
And... I get this error...
What can I do to remove this red text ?
Or... Can I unroot with this error ?
(Because I give up by installing a custom rom, I'm reading, searching everything on the internet, and nobody offers me a link where everything is well explained, I remember how that was easy with the first galaxy note, now it's very uncomprehensible)...
I have the same issues
nevermind...
I'm gonna remove the unlocking, I have restored the DRM KEYS & I will try to update my device with Sony Companion and unroot
*#*#7378423#*#*
I'm unrooted...
But my bootloader is still able to be unlocked when I type *#*#7378423#*#* Configuration

If it say "allowed" that should be correct.
Yes, if it says "Allowed" then it's locked, but you're allowed to unlock it (again). If it says "Unlocked: Yes", then it's unlocked.
What exactly are you trying to achieve here? No recovery/No root/Locked BL? For what purpose?

I guess that is just an error in firefox's prefs file (flashtool looking for web proxy) so is nothing to worry about - just a guess though

so this error is just for a proxy issue ? :highfive:
blueether is right. Just install Firefox and open it, which creates the missing file. The error is gone. :good:

Has anyone unlocked successfully?

I've been trying to unlock my bootloader for some time now but I keep receiving the same error. 'Current account is different from the account info on device"
The Mi Account number signed into the device is the same as the one signed into the unlocking tool. I've been updating the Miflash Unlocker tool to the latest version. Do i need to be running a certain ROM for this to work? Has anyone actually been able to unlock their Redmi 3?
Afaik sometimes you have to wait like 5-10 after you recieved unlock approval. But i successfully unlock on the next day after approval.
I unlocked successfully with developer firmware installed on my Redmi3. 20 seconds work
Waiting for more than 3 weeks now. Unlock bootloader is a pain in the as. Okay Xiaomi is locking bootloaders. But if Xiaomi offers unlock for those how want to unlock why don't make a procedure that is really working. (no code, and unlock tool makes only network error) With locked bootloader I will sell my Redmi 3, which is very nice and never buy Xiaomi again.
Thanks, Xiaomi

That's strange. Try reflashing the developer ROM again, entering your Mi Account and then using the Unlock tool again. I unlocked mine very easily using the tool. Hope it works for you.

I havent get unlook code yet, posted two times in the mi thread on internet as they recommend. 3 weeks ago I just got the code to apply for permission to unlock bootloader. Mi unlock tool does not even start up...network error. tried like twenty times.
The pitty is I really like the Redmi 3.
Got unlock code in 10 days and successfully unlocked, problem should be on you registration of your mi account on developer ROM.
Sent from my Redmi 3 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I updated my Mi account correctly. I got code to apply for permission normally. so my account should be okay.
After getting the approval in 10 days, iIve manage to unlock the bootloader only after flashing developer rom.
I've read somewhere that we should make sure the phone connect to MI services by switching on the gps service. ( I use the find device feature just to be sure)
I have NO approval since more than 3 weeks now.

successfully unlocked my bootloader yesterday after waiting for 11 days and no sms. finally I posted on complaints thread on miui english forum. I wrote my UID, my device and how many days I've been waiting and then binggo, I got sms and I can continue unlocking my bootloader [emoji1]
I read somewhere (I forgot where), the approval depends on our ID's reputation on forum. maybe yes? or maybe no? [emoji12][emoji16]

Current account not bound to this device(unlocking bootloader)

I am not able unlock the bootloader of my note 3...I have got permission from xiaomi....The miflashunlock tool gets stuck at 99% and shows current account not bound to this device.....When i go to developer option----> Mi unlock states--->add account to fix the problem it shows some 86012 error. Please help
Same for me I unlocked unofficially
There is an option to bound your Xiaomi account to that phone in Developer Settings.
brother wait for 6-8 days.. It will eventually happen.
I used to do it daily and it happened even when there was the same old 86012 error on binding my device.
Bro you have to wait 4-5 days after you have logged in with the account on mi device . I was also having same problem but after waiting for 5 days problem was solved
Me too. It's been almost 2 weeks.

You can do a few more things if you'd like to. Visit i.miui.com from your PC or your phone browser and make sure there is only one device connected to that account- the device you want to unlock.
Additionally, did you use the same forum name and the name while requestion for unlock permission? Some people say that makes a difference.
Changing to different versions of MIUI won't help, don't do that.
Under no condition delete your MI account from the web before signing out of your phone first.
Don't unlock unofficially. You'll face a lot of problems and might even brick your device.
Good luck.
Did it work?

Were you finally able to get past the server error and bind the device to mi account?
I'm facing the same issue as I just logged in using my mi account which has unlock permissions and it just says "Unable to verify. Please try after a minute or two" for the last half an hour.
Thanks
If you brick your device on the way as it happened to me... check: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77755947&postcount=11

I dont think I can get it any lower either. I've tried all the previous work arounds to skip the wait but I think they've all been patched so i'm forced to wait it out. Trying to do it via a different xiaomi account you run the risk of it still been 360h again which would reset your previous wait time back to the full 360h. Some people manage to get it unlocked in 72h I'm probably just unlucky

Could you go a little more into detail regarding what you did, exactly?

about unlock

0.at first you need a xiaomi account
解锁工具需要登入小米账户才能使用
1.All versions can be unlocked
所有的版本 不管是国内版本还是欧洲版本都能去官网解锁
2. channel -> http://en.miui.com/unlock/
官方解锁渠道地址
3.some one need to wait 360hours before unlock , because you have a new xiaomi account, this account lacks enough traces of use
My account has been in use for many years (note that it has been used for many years, not just the account that was registered many years ago)
新账号或者很少使用的账号,可能无法直接用于解锁手机,需要等待几天时间,最长半个月。当然一个老账号一个月内也只能解锁一台。
4.unlock phone will wipe data (format /data)
解锁手机后会自动清空数据 恢复出厂设置
So are you saying create the account now (prior to having the phone), to speed up the waiting time?
Nah, i have a 4 years old account, 360 h still .
I am a newbie on Mi so sorry about the question if obvious (this is my first one although I flashed ports a few years back on my ZTE Blade and THL 5000).
So I allow the boot loader unlock on my phone, then I'll perform the proper unlock and only after I'll be able to root my Mi 9, correct?
Thank you in advance
Ok, not sure if I did this correctly.
I signed up for the account and used USA as region.
Downloaded the miflash unlock tool.
I signed into the account and after checking account permissions, it's asking me to connect the phone.
Does this mean I don't have a wait time?
Or only after connecting the phone will I get the wait time?
Phone has been shipped. Might be a few days before I get it.

I thought the same, but once you click unlock and 'ok' the warnings, it'll begin the unlock but then stop saying you need to wait

Sorry, I didn't pay attention to this. My account has been in use for many years (note that it has been used for many years, not just the account that was registered many years ago)
My account from the time not xiaomi phone just have miui but still waiting 360 hours to unlock, crazy :v

Edit: I fixed my own problem, still just waiting for the unlock!
so, as some of the readers know here on Mi 9 forum, im new to Xiaomi itself, so my Mi 9 arrive tomorrow, and i want to put Xiaomi.eu rom on it since they fix most of the bugs and problems of the global rom outsorced by Xiaomi itself...
My question is: after unlock the bootloader on boot image we will have a message like Pixel/LG phones saying we have unlocked bootloader and the phone is unsafe or we did just have a locker unlocked saying the same but without the message warning during boot?
that message anoying me so much that i just dont want to unlock if the message pop up, instead if the locker are in their place, im in to unlock it!
It just shows a small lock that is open and the text unlocked. It's very subtle

Yes, it doesn't add a new screen, it just changes the stock "Mi" boot screen by adding the text Unlocked with an open lock. Plus, I just saw a thread about changing various boot screens : Link, so theoretically you can even remove the text showing your phone is unlocked if that bothers you
