Fake (or used) device? I think the seller tricked me. - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Be patient, please, and let me explain.
My new device never worked fine. Never was able to use wifi or bluetooth, so i made everything I could imagine or you, people, helped me. Nothing worked.
So i asked help the seller and told me a lot of foolish advices, just to avoid the issue. He did not response by the issue. So I was ... you know... f(censored).
Then i saw a thread. Some Motorola G had same issue, and fixed by copying a file at persist folder. You had to be root to find it. So i tried to root. Nothing happened. Nor by abd or anything else. Finally I installed Cuoco... but device did not root!
I am begging to suspect a fake. If this would be a fake, root and firmware (to wifi and BT) could not work fine, right?
Is it possible? Can they lock root? If not, why can not root? Conspiracy?
Thanks.

root thew phone, flash twrp, flash a aosp or los rom and see if it still doesnt work

Last option:
Use the qfil unbrick rom for debricking . I
Would be surprised if it worked with a clone.

I used qfil a lot of times. Yes, it makes the phone alive, but issues remain: no possible root, no wifi, no BT.

The issue is most likely the efs partition of your phone cause neither qfil nor a custom rom are going to touch it. I don't know how you will be able to manipulate this partition (modemst1 and modemst2) without root

I hope nothing serious. Best wishes of health.

If you use antutu benchmark it proposes to install officer app that checkes device is original. You can also use other hardware checking tools. Try install some Android 7 eg Resurrection Remix that comes with preinstalled magisk which is newest method of rooting.

Bricked- flash failure, cannot flash sbf

Urgent help needed guys. :crying:
I installed an unofficial CM10 port on the second system of the BootMenu, and got a bootloop upon restarting.
Now, after I boot into stock recovery, select the AP Fastboot and try to flash from RSDLite, i get this error
"cdt.bin" (flash "cdt.bin" -> Phone returned FAIL
I was running the EU ICS leak on the first system before that.
Please tell me what to do, I'm badly stuck. Its really an emergency.
Is there an CM10 build for the Razr?
You tried to wipe Data in Stock Recovery first, before you use RSD? (I guess it won't help much)
You're not able to boot into BM Recovery, right?
The Boot Menu shows and warning, before you rebooted your device, why did you boot?
You now got an CDMA Rom on your RazR (not even sure, if it's an RazR Rom)
That's not easy to fix i think. When RSD won't work it's strange. Your RazR is an EU Device?

Thanks a lot for replying.
I installed the RAZR CM10(DHacker's unofficial, it was CDMA now i realize) in SECOND system, so the hijack was still intact. It didn't give me a warning before rebooting!
My razr is asia retail, but was working perfectly fine on EU leak.
I really hope there is a way to get out of this. :crying:

But how will this work? When I try to flash sbf in RSDLite, it gives this error
"cdt.bin" (flash "cdt.bin" -> Phone returned FAIL)
When I try to access the stock recovery and try to flash a ROM through external SD, it gives this error
" error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)"
cdt.bin is an signature failure like you get, when you flash an wrong region rom or try to downgrade.
If you're in Bad trouble you got an higher secure level now. But I'm not sure, if it really can happen through an Custom Rom?
Never faced such an Problem by using an Custom Rom, so I guess it's an Region problem.
What can you lose by trying one of these Roms? I read the Thread and it seems that this are full flash Roms. So they will delete everything on your RazR (even the internal SD)

The fastboot of my region worked. Thanks a lot HSD-Pilot. Its flashing now! God bless!
Yeah, as I thought. And I'll bet, the ICS EU Rom will work, too.
I think you tried an GB Rom @ the first flash.
But now I'm glad it works for you. Set your RazR up and charge your battery, before you try anything else

GT S5830i - Unlock Help

Hi Guys,
Trying to unlock my samsung, I rooted it yesterday and tried to use an apps from the playstore to unlock but was unable to unlock.
Does anybody have any quick ideas on how to unlock. I also tried code generators but they all seem to be fony and just want you to fill out questionnaires and pay them.
I would pay if it was cheap and quick.
You should try to use another root pack
And it would be good if you tell use what have you exactly done so far
And another question what do you mean with unlock ?
This Phone can only be rooted not more (root: you a operator on your phone and can do everything).

He means unlocking phone to work with other providers.
Ah OK i didnt thought that he means Simlock
It you can have this problems:
1 Root didn't work
2 Unlocking App didn't work (I thinink that's the problem)
3 You didn't give the app root permissions
If Root work or not you can look with an App
If you give the App root permission you can look in superuser
If this all works its to 90 % the unlock App
Gesendet von meinem GT-I9001 / Hit thanks when I helped
Its simple root your device and then install galaxy toolbox from playstore....then use network unlock.....reboot....And dont forget to backup your bml5 partition....

i highly doubt its impossible....... just no ones figured out a way to do it yet.
Oh, so there's absolutely NO way of rooting it without unlocking the bootloader just yet, is that correct? I've been trying to google out some fresh info, but everything's like one month old. Dying to root my phone but I know it's reasonable to wait for the exploit...

Root for SM-G357FZ

Hi there guys! i found the root files for the samsung sm-g357fz (ace style lte / ace4 or whatever)
here is the downloadlink: http://www.mediafire.com/download/2uuje4isd2mwdwb/Root_Files_G357FZ.rar
the method is so simple
1 you need odin
2 download the package (linked below)
3. Rename first file type from md5 to tar
4. Using Odin flash file step1
5. Wait till phone boot up correctly (ignore any errors, just let it be)
6. After system booted up, go into download mode again and flash step2 file.
7. After reboot open SuperSU app that should be installed right now an allow it to block KNOX
8. Done, your phone is rooted
this root thing is not my development i just found on the internet downloaded and uploaded to my mirror.
try it and write to me how it works
Did nobody test this solution and can tell me if this works? I dont wanna "kill" the phone or reflash the whole firmware because of bricks.

Short question: g357 is a 64bit soc equipped device, which SU files did you choose for this package? Could be helpful for other 410s devices.. Thank you in advance

If anyone is interested, Kingroot on latest version worked for G357FZ yesterday
Hm. How did they implement a rooting method by passing the odin way? They had to find a security lack.. Hmmm if this could work on similar devices? Just a good question... thank you for advice

Bricked Mi 9
Let me get straight to the point before I explain. I bricked my Mi 9 (had it for weeks but didn't use it till I got the bootloader unlocked) and it doesn't boot into TWRP can only get it to fastboot no matter what I tried so far. Installed an unofficial TWRP there are two types with practically 0 differences. This Mi 9 is the global version. 6gb 128gb storage
So I wanted to try Xiaomi.EU ROM as it's a debloated version as some would say. but that had a nasty camera bug, status bar notch looked cramped and unpolluted as they tried to minimise the bar. Some apps from the playstore wasn't installing like the DJI mimo app, it would just cancel halfway through the download. Then I completely forgot that my fingerprint scanner won't work on my banking app anymore, since the bootloader is unlocked. Google Pay also suffers from that and I know you can use magisk etc to sort out most of the problems like the fingerprint scanner and Gpay. So after discovering these issues, there are far too many to deal with now. I'll just go back and try something more clean and that's where all the mess began...
I haven't rooted in a few years so I'm very rusty at half the stuff that is happening. I know bits and bobs but that was with my Nexus and Pixel phones. Mi 9 is my first official replacement and I thought hey let's get back into mods etc. If only I had more knowledge on what to do. I will still try to figure it myself, so I potentially could help others but I fear I won't get far.
Anyways tried to get it back to run a beta version of the latest global or stable and so the last thing I did before all things went to . I went to TWRP and advance wiped dalvik, cache and data and was specifically told not to mark sdcard and another option which was there. (This was a thread I was reading, can't remember which site) now the phone completely 'ded' as in it is now stuck in the bootloop and doesn't go anywhere else besides fastboot. How I went about flashing TWRP and trying to install magisk was using the XiaoMiTools V2 which did some of the work (unbrick feature isn't available yet on the toolkit). But after the wipe I did, the toolkit doesn't recognise the device and MiFlash also doesn't seem to work although with that I think I get weird prompt like something didn't go well and I'm maybe not doing something right although I believe I have. Because the phone has been wiped I don't have ADB debugging on the device and I believe that could have been a solution for me to wiggle out of the mess. So I'm desperately looking for the community to help get my Mi 9 fully operational again. Anyone out there?
Only thing fastboot seemed to recognise is when I'm flashing the different two versions of twrp.img
Looking forward to your comments.
Hello friend, I have the same problem as you. `` The system has been destroyed''. I wanted to know which Chinese version you have used, because I have the EEA V10.2.17.0 and I do not know which Chinese version to use, the ones I downloaded have given me an error. Tell me who you used your thanks. If you could make me a little guide, I would be very grateful for more than 10 days without my mi9 .. @PRolo
I don,t have my pc with me, download the EEA original from Miui. And with Mi Tool Pro install that, follow the steps on link i put um the beginning.
If didn't work tell me and when I came home help you.

Hello friend, nothing is needed. He took it out of the brick. It is taken out only with the first step of the program. What the nose is because it did not work the first time I tried it. Greetings and thank you

Bit of an old post to reply to... But did you manage to fix your problem? Did you note down the build of the original ROM that was on your device in the first place?
Thanks for this post, sadly my new Mi9 is in the same condition. All I did was update to lastest EEA-ROM (which was offered automatically by system right after setup), registered for BL unlock and finally decided to Factory Reset and start afresh as did not recover data from my Google backup.
Right now I cannot use recovery mode as the recovery also throws the "System destroyed" error (presumably because the update did something awful with the recovery).
As the mentioned method does not work in fastboot mode I am a bit at a loss on what to do - besides waiting for the BL unlock timer to do its thing (which it hopefully will do despite the fact that I don't use the phone ATM). I tried a lot of tools and hints but so far with BL locked its a no-go
Any ideas/suggestions ?

No, sadly I don't recall that. Presently I cannot recover any info on the version with fastboot getvar all, the fields are empty.
I think I can remember the update had something with a "9" or "19" in it - but the "9" would mean a global ROM instead of an EEA which I expected (the phone is marked with global, though)... I do recall Google Update is from 03/19...
Well, what a mess...
