first I dont take any credit for this - it is just to share my experience after trying several file explorers on my Shield TV.
MT Manager is not only Shield friendly - but one of the best looking file managers for Android TV (switch to night theme first).
No ads, full power of Android file manager with unbelievable functions (esp on APK management), all in 3mb size.
Oddly I could not find original address to download (I believe developer is from China) - so you can google it or use the following:

App will offer to update itself if needed.
If you like it you can support the developer by unlocking some APK modding features sending the payment via PayPal
(95% of functions are already available in basic version).
This is my first post on recommending the app - I hope it does not breach forum rules.

Hi. I would like to share my experience.
I use MiXplorer on my Shield Pro 2019 and it works great on a tv with the remote.
You can mount whatever you want and uninstall any app.

I want to open this thread to let you know Modern Explorer:
this is one of the first "almost complete" file manager for Windows Phone 8.1.
With this application it's possible copy/cut/paste/rename/share (bluetooth/nfc/apps) files in almost every public folders into phone.
(music, videos, documents, pictures, ringtones and downloads are included).
Also include a full access SD Card option (every visible file and folder will be shown)
This app supports starting vocal commands, can show files with three views and support picture and video thumbnail.
It's possible to pin to start files and folders, you can select multiple files too.
Zip support and bugfixes will arrive soon with 1.2 version

using this app from weeks, I like the design,very clean and simple.
So I have the PNC smart access (for PNC's prepaid card) app and it requests SUPERUSER.. *gasp*

I've done some tests and apk break downs and I've found out this.
1. Using root cloak on it will not allow me to login and will throw some error. (on a unsupported xposed lollipop device now so I can't show screenshots)
2. Yellow smiley app doesn't show any ACCESS_SUPERUSER modules in the apk. Wat? yet......
3. SuperSU has a record of PNC Smart Access of requesting superuser in its log. Speaking of SuperSU...
4. Denying it access will allow me to login but only after I have to send a email verification. EVERY TIME I WANT TO LOGON IT NEEDS TO VERIFY MY EMAIL.
5. I spoke to PNC tech support and they didn't know jack what I was talking about.....
6. I have not given the app superuser permissions so I can't see the effect of it being allowed.
Edit: it works fine. Giving in and allowing root
Maybe someone can look at the APK and solve this mystery??

Well first off don't mention lucky patcher. It is banned here. Next the link you posted is not showing up at it might only be available in some areas. Your best bet would be taking a logcat and then sending it to the app developer.
Many banking apps are made not to work if root is detected. And no the root cloakers don't work well.

What is Kapuer ?
Not yet just another permission management application ! Kapuer is way more than that. It is a recommender system that helps you deal with the difficulties to protect your privacy from all your apps.
How does it work ?
Each time one of your app wants to use some of your private data, Kapuer first informs you of that request, gives you details on concerned permission and asks you if you want to allow or deny this request.
Your decision allow Kapuer to understand how you want to protect your privacy. Then, after some requests, Kapuer will propose you an higher level rule to manage a whole set of permissions or a whole set of application. Suppose you always deny games to access the Internet because you play only solo games. After few interactions with Kapuer, it will understand that you don't want to let games access the Internet and it will propose you a rule to deny all upcoming requests from games to access the Internet.
Kapuer is the result of a PhD and is still at its early ages. Updates and improvements will come. This implementation of Kapuer has been build with Xposed.
Even if Kapuer is and will stay free for public, it is not open source. We still plan on a possible commercial use of the decision support system behind Kapuer but privacy is important for us and we wanted to share Kapuer with everybody. We do not use information about you or your data, everything stay and will forever stay on your device.
Kapuer hasn't been tested for the moment with Xposed for Android 5.xx
How can I test it ?
Kapuer is still in beta and lots of updates will come.

Device booted but not working. My kb swype was fcing all the time. I tried running opera mini to see a dialog box asking if I want to allow data. But nothing came. Reverted back by uninstalling
Hi everyone,
I am here to share with you my attempt at making an APK installer for Windows Subsystem for Android, WSA Sideloader. This has been an open source project I had been working on for over 2 months now, with the first version released around the same time as the WSA public preview.
Like the name suggests, it features a user friendly interface allowing anyone to easily sideload APK files onto the subsystem, without typing any commands. Since the launch of version 1.0 back in February, I have continued to update the app with new features and bug fixes. Recently I have launched version 1.2, which includes an updated look and feel, APK permission viewer and WSA autostart.
But my work is not over yet. .apk file association is coming soon, so you can double click to install from File Explorer. I also have plans to launch an ARM64 build of WSA Sideloader, for devices running the ARM version of Windows 11. A test ARM64 build is currently available for version 1.1.10.

Happy to announce that .apk file association is now available in version 1.3. The application now integrates with File Explorer, web browsers and other supported programs enabling (double) click to install functionality.
The update is now available to download from Microsoft Store as well as GitHub Releases.
