TPU Case - OnePlus 5 Accessories

I'm looking for a high quality, plain (no designs or funky textures), black TPU case. I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B073JF58WP/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 on Amazon, it is very nice, but it is a little too thin.
It seems like there are very few cases for the OP5 from the name brands, hopefully this will change.

All the big boys have cases for the OP5: Spigen, Tudia, Nikon, etc. If you want a fairly low profile unbranded case look at Mangix and Skmy

That's similar to the one I have. The one thing I don't like about the big boy cases is that they leave a massive cutout for the camera and flash, whereas the one here (and the one I have) has a separate cutout. I saw some really nice ones online, but they seem to cover the microphone on the back.

[Case][Review]: Quick review for TPU Case from TPU-Cases Matte Black

Hi all, I know there aren't too many ATT specific cases out there yet, but I did want to do a quick review of the one that I ordered from TPU-cases (I got mine off ebay, but they have a regular site as well).
The one specifically I got was the Matte Back Black Flexible TPU Case.
Overall, the case quality is solid -- compared to other TPU cases I've had in the past. It's solid enough to provide basic protection, but not too flexible (like silicon) that you have to worry about it stretching and losing its shape over time.
I opted for the matte black version, but I believe that there are other types to whatever fits your fancy. (I think the matte was/is so popular, it may be out of stock).
The other nice thing is that they throw in a free screen protector. It's a decent clear one (not anti-glare), which is my preference. It's not on par of the quality of let's say a Realook or a SGP, but for free, who's going to complain?
So on to the case review...
1. I've attached a few photos to show the overall fit of the case. It fits well, and doesn't add much thickness to the case at all (which is a huge plus for me).
2. There is a little bit of a "lip" on the front, so it you do place your phone face down on a table, it leaves enough gap to protect the screen (as opposed to laying completely flat).
3. There is a decent size cut out for the power button, but the volume rockers are actually covered. However, no functionality loss on the power buttons -- in fact I think they may actually make it easier to use.
4. There is a cutout for where a lanyard hole should be -- (aka the international version), but no biggie here.
5. On the bottom, standard cutouts for the microusb port and the primary mic.
6. For the back, nice cutouts for the camera and the speaker on the lower right.
Now for the million $$$ question -- is the top aligned correctly for the secondary noise cancellation mic???
Fortunately the answer is YES! I believe this case was originally made for the international version (evidence from the lanyard hole), but the designer -- either in a stroke of pure genius and foresight (or just plain laziness) made the top cutout for the mic large enough where it does not cover the off-center version of our mic. So it looks like it could accommodate either the international or ATT version of the SGSII. I've tried to get a close up of the top so that you can see what I am talking about.
Overall -- for a shade under $9 USD for a nice looking/fitting case and a screen protector - I would say it's a great deal.
As I mentioned earlier, unfortunately it looks like the matte version is out of stock, but the other versions should be just as good.

UPDATE: I didn't realize they also have an Amazon storefront, so it's available from several sources: http://goo.gl/ltQnW
I have the same exact case for my international sgs2. It's pretty good, though some micro usb cables don't work with it.
Edit: got mine from their amazon storefront.

Exact same case. Bought from Amazon for 10 bucks, prime shipping. Costly for tpu, but it had cuts for top mic as well. Fits perfectly.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using xda premium
I bought this along with the gloss black. I am using the gloss black as I think that it looks better (my opinion) as this matt one looks a little worn out of the box. This is only my opinion.
I was just checking out these cases on amazon and i wonder, is this the closest thing to the flexible TPU case that bodyglove made for the Captivate? It sounds like you may have had the same case for your previous phone, how does it compare?
For those who are wondering, this is the old case http://www.amazon.com/Body-Glove-Mirage-Samsung-Captivate/dp/B0040M7H96. If bodyglove made the same exact thing that fit the GS2 i would buy it in a heartbeat!
If these cases are the closest thing available i might just have to get one to see for myself. How do you like the case now that you've had it for a little while?

Actually I did have the BodyGlove case for my Captivate since it was one of the first decent cases to come out. I am not sure if you had this issue or not, but I have some scratches at the top of my phone (small ones though), but I do believe it was caused by the BodyGlove case (perhaps a little too rough on the inside).
But as for the overall material of the case -- yes, the BodyGlove case is also TPU, which is the same material. The only difference is the BodyGlove was solid black with some texturized ridges, and this case is matte black (but they also come in semi-transparent -- just comes down to your choice in visual aesthetics).
If you liked the material of the BodyGlove, then I think you'd be happy with this one as well.
i have this same case, its nice
Ditto, great case for the money. Switched to a mesh cover though as I find it's a bit sleeker, but keeping this as backup.
Love this case...

[REVIEW][CASE] Cruzer Lite TPU Case (Argyle)

I picked up another TPU case for my SGSII, and thought I'd do a review on it as well.
This particular case is the Cruzer Lite Argyle TPU case (I chose red).
I am particularly partial to TPU because it's thin enough where it doesn't add much bulk to the phone, adds a little grip, and does not tend to stretch over time like silicon.
Here are the details (pictures attached as well).
The fit and form of the case is solid and as to be expected from a good quality TPU case. It's very easy to take on and off, and generally doesn't lose shape over time (I've had a similar case on my Capitvate for over a year and still looks like new).
Like most TPU cases, this one is slightly raised on the front and around the camera area on the back, so you can lay it flat without worrying about scratching (provided the surface is clean).
Like my other case (and I've seemed to notice this with several of the SGSII cases I've looked at) the volume buttons are covered but the power button is open. Buttons are easy to press and get access to.
There is a cutout for a lanyard hole - so this case can be used for both the ATT and international versions.
Cutouts for the camera, ports, mics, headphone jack and speaker are all properly placed. I had no problems plugging in the 3 different types of micro usb cables I have laying around with the case on.
The top cutout for the secondary mic is large enough where it does not cover it. So far of the cases I've researched, vendors are opting to do one of three things to make their international cases compatible with our ATT version -- (1) leave the top totally uncovered (seen with some hard cases); (2) poke a second hole for the ATT mic (I believe some silicon cases have done this); and (3) make the cutout for the secondary mic large enough to compensate for both types. This particular case opts for option #3, which is my personal preference from a style perspective. Each way works functionally, it's just a matter of preference.
I've always been a fan of the semi-translucent argyle pattern. It gives a little style, but at the same time you can still see the Galaxy S II logo on the back. The nice thing is that they have several colors available (and I believe a solid black gloss one if you don't like translucent argyle) -- and choices are always good!
Overall: for a little under $9 USD, the build quality, a color I can dig rather than the typical black or white, and the fact I didn't have to "jerry-rig" the case to accommodate the secondary noise-cancelling mic on the top makes this a good value in my opinion.
Picked mine up via Amazon - http://goo.gl/Tq3uR
how does the charger fit? The case won't allow me to completely plug into the micro usb

Really? I had no problems plugging any of my micro usb cables into the phone with the case on.
I ordered the green one yesterday, showed up this morning for overnight shipping. WOW, I had to take off the other TPU and put this one on. Love it.

Can you upload some pictures?
I picked up another one of these cases in blue, and like the review for my red one, the quality and everything else matches my first one so happy there.
I really like how bright the colors are and seem to "pop" (yeah, I know it's not a scientific term!)
Some pics of the blue one if anyone is interested.

@pinoymutt,
I'm interested in your comment here. I bought a silicone gel case for my captivate in August last year. I havn't noticed any stretching. In fact, I've been very satisfied with it, and while I've passed the phone on, I expect my wife to get a couple more years use from it. This was, however, my first phone that needed a case, so it was my first experience. Are there maybe differences between different silicone gel cases? What was your experience?

From my experience with previous phones, at least with the older types of silicon cases, they tended to stretch over time, meaning especially with a lot of on/off removal (esp back in the days when I needed a lot of battery pulls to fix lockups on WM phones). After a while it just seemed to be "loose" on the sides and just didn't have a snug fit. Also, a lot of the older silicon cases tend to pick up lint and dust a lot more easily, and especially if you put it in a your pocket with a rougher surface (like jeans), it would kind of "stick" when you tried to take it out.
TPU on the other hand, tends to be a little thinner and smoother so you don't have many of those issues I mentioned above. To me TPU has always been a good compromise between the protection of a hard case, but the flexibility of silicon.
Now, the reason I emphasized "older" silicon above, is that I have heard that some companies are using newer materials that may be more durable than previous generations and have different surface qualities, so some of what I mentioned above may not be as prevalent anymore.
But with these "newer" technologies, I believe they tend to run a little more expensive. So in the end it really depends on your price point. At the low end (sub $20USD range) my experience is that you can still get a good quality TPU case, but it's really hit or miss with silicon. However, if you are willing to spend a little more, I believe the higher quality (i.e. higher priced) options tend to be quite nice.
I am by no means a case "expert," but just sharing some of my thoughts and observations as I go through different cases.
The plaid looking pattern is too girly looking for me.
Other than that it seems like a nice case.
i have this case in smoke grey the top part is diffrnt though not a big hole for the noise cancelling mic but a perfect small hole it . grabbed it on ebay for about $3-6
That's not a bad price

Wireless Accessories Hybrid Case Black/Black

http://www.amazon.com/Optimus-E970-HYBRID-Silicone-Black/dp/B00ATIEB4E/ref=cm_cmu_pg__header
This is a pretty decent hybrid case. I uploaded a few pictures to Amazon to give more people a better chance to see what it looks like since the seller only uploaded a picture of the back, and I have the only review on Amazon as well if you want to hear what I thought about it. Basically, it's a good fit but I'm not the biggest fan of how it feels in my hand and how much thickness it adds. I honestly feel like they could have made the silicone thinner where it's covered by hard plastic and reduced the overall thickness by a lot. It's not the end of the world, but we'll see how long I have it on there before I take if off and go all slim-n-sexy again.
Also, for whatever reason Amazon didn't like my picture of the packaging so I'm attaching a picture of the mailer it comes in and the packaging you have to open. It's pretty standard stuff, but it's here for you to look at just in case.
Edit: Typo.
How do the buttons feel?
They are a little bit cheaper if you order from

This is the case I decised on too. I works, very light, but I'm not sure how much protection it offers. Coming from a Seidio Active case on an iPhone 4, this is a let down, but there aren't many choices. I'd rate it a 6 overall

Agreed - But there's not much case love for the AT&T OG so we're at the mercy of this type of case unless Seidio or Otterbox or such changes their mind about making something for us.
I got this case off eBay, just received it yesterday. For a case being under $10 its not bad and I feel it will protect it from a mild drop just fine. Also the silicone on the front has a raised lip so if you set the phone face down its not on the screen. The only real down side is that the case covers the power button so no notification light now.
I'll add pictures of mine, since its blue might be easier to see then the black case.

How does the case feel?
I purchased the one from Ventev that looks identical to this case. I sent that one back because the "TPU" it said the case was made of was really hard kinda felt like plastic. That made the buttons hard to push. Is the rubber the case made out of hard or soft like tradition TPU? I want this case because I like the two layers of protection but I dont want another case that was like the Ventev case. For now I have the Diztronic case on it and I took the plastic shell off the Belkin case and it fit over the Diztronic TPU case with little force and its like a makeshift Otterbox Commuter.

I just replaced mine with the Fusion Hybrid, I like it much better...
After only like 2 weeks, the "silicone" was stretching. It's actually more like a molded foam, and the plastic hard shell only holds it to the phone in a few areas. The plastic shell on the Fusion Hybrid actually seems to be a lot more stiff and holds it on three sides. The silicone feels a lot better on the new case as well, seems more dense...
For less than $10, neither is terrible, but I'd spend on the Fusion Hybrid...

Looking for a premium look case

Hey fellas!
I am looking for a premium looking case for my nexus 6.
My phone is white if it matters.
I did like a lot the Nilkin slim border, but its out of stock everywhere.
Also i have found this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Luxury-Sli...hash=item41939eb983:m:m2afeTHn0qE_nI9hygZ9iVg
Black aluminum borders.
Besides that, im looking for something that will give me a nice grip yet still make the phone look elegant and aesthetic.
Thanks!
I have that. It looks okay, but the quality is crap. I got rid of it right away.
My favorite Nexus 6 case is this one:
Ringke FUSION [Dust Cap/Drop Protection][CLEAR] Shock Absorption Bumper. (Available on Amazon)
It adds minimal bulk and fits like a glove.
I bought this case about 6mo ago, and have been very happy with it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/152687543728 (Not affiliated with the seller, just a happy customer)
Back is a clear, hard plastic (poly-carbonate?) and the "lip" is a firm TPU-type material. I've dropped it dozens of times with zero problems.
I've used the "S-shape" type cases for other phones in the past. A simpler, less "high-end" look, but they have tiny little "nubs" at the edges that give excellent grip. (Zoom in on pics to see):

I have this Ringke also and it is a good case, but I wouldn't consider it premium. It does provide adequate protection for minor bumps and falls. It has a large enough lip that my tempered glass screen protector doesn't scratch if I place the phone face-down on a table. The clear TPU yellows over time so it looks dingy though. Depending on how frequently you charge or use a headset, the dust caps can be annoying (of course they are easy to snip off the case if you like.)
Overall it is a very good case and the one I use most of the time, but particularly because of the yellowing of the clear plastic, I can't consider it a premium case.
I use a Spigen slim armor. Very nice looking and protects well. I had together it directly from Spigen though. I tried ordering one from a discounter and they send me a fake. It literally didn't even look like the real thing and lacked the kick stand and didn't even fit properly. They just printed Spigen on some random vaguly similar case and tried to pass it off.
Have had a number of cases over the years and I'm none rival the quality, feel, build, and just plain sexiness of the Seidio Dilex Pro. I'm the best kickstand case as the kickstand itself is metal as well as magnetic, it's also very sturdy. I went thru 2 Spigen Slim Armor kickstand cases after the plastic kickstands broke off then I discovered this beauty lol. Also rocking a Dbrand skin and no problems with the fit. Also the feel of the outside lip is great, more than enough to sit it face down, but formed and angled perfectly as to not in any way hinder using the screen. Seidio is also a big name company so the price is higher @ $29.99, over your run of the mill ebay cases, but as the famous saying goes, you get what you pay for lol.
https://www.amazon.com/Seidio-DILEX-Metal-Kickstand-Motorola/dp/B00S6TA3RW
Also might add that the way the metal kickstand is attached the area is flat which means sitting it on a table it will stay put instead of rocking back and forth lol. The butter shell of the 2 pieces is also covered (or made?) out of something that is pretty grippy, no slick plastic or rubbery TPU to deal with, using it for over a year in construction sites, factories, and other outdoor/dirty jobs it doesn't hold dirt or sweaty skin oils compared to others I've used, I wash mine bout once a month in hot water with dish soap and no warping, deforming, or most of all, fading, still black as the day I got it. And one last awesome thing that's soo small to be easily looked over but makes a huge difference when case makers don't do it is the side buttons, each one is individual, precision molded, and have a very satisfying feel when depressing them. It may be a tad bigger compared to bumpers or extremely thin shell cases which are barely a step up over a full Dbrand or (can't remember the other skin company) skin lol, I found myself loving the size, it's not full on OtterBox, but it still is thin enough to let me use it one handed which is whenever I'm doing anything but typing lol.
::Edit:: Oh yea, it comes in Black, Blue, Red, and White. Seidio also makes a Surface case with the metal kickstand as well and I'm sure it's just as high quality of a product I have not tried it myself and cannot attest to it's build, here is an Amazon listing tho if you would like to see it, it is one that includes a belt holster tho there are listings without the holster for cheaper.

Flip cases for the 6T

Hey everyone,
Since I typically use a flip case (a regular case with a protective cover for the screen that flips open) with all the phones I've owned, I thought I'd open a thread to start a discussion about people's experiences and recommendations with flip cases for the 6T.
Share something and help someone with what product to use!
Reserved
I'm currently using this one:
Foluu Compatible OnePlus 6T Case,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K2S5DFC?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Pros:
+ magnetic edge on flip cover afixes the flip cover to the back, neatly preventing flapping
+ the sides of the phone are completely covered by a transparent bumper, with cutouts only for usb, alert slider, and speakers
+ relatively screen protector friendly
Cons:
- not a smart cover
- back cover is not a single piece with the sides, adding to bulk
Again, the pro/con list reflects my personal preferences and of course, may not apply at all to you.
Orzly Wallet Flip Case looks decent enough. I am currently using the oneplus 6t flip case with card slot, and its okay. Doesnt flap much, but it does not compare to my last otterbox strada case for the iphone 8 plus. Still looking for something similar.
I've also purchased some ringke 3m card slots, both the plastic and the nylon to add to the tpu cover that was included with the phone. Although not a flipcase, the downside with not having a solid magnet or full edge protection gives higher probability of the phone landing face down when dropped.

I second the motion -- the Otterbox Strada on my Samsung S7 Edge is the gold standard for me. Most expensive case I've bought but has lasted many multiples longer than any other case. It's still a tank and still in use nearly three years later.
Closest case for OnePlus to that standard was the Tech21 flip case for my 6. Don't think they make it for the 6T though.
I'm using the flip case that I got from OnePlus when it's working fine.I've had better and I've had worse but pretty good I'm happy. No issues,, thinking about getting a OtterBox when they come out just for safety. But they're so big and bulky and ugly.,,,,,,,, I guess we'll see

I think that this book one will be my favorite flip case.
Only the Cassette tape case has come in so far.
It's a bit larger then a real cassette tape and it's a big large for the phone.
Then I've purchased another half dozen or so hard cover cases/non flip.

Damn, your wife's probably right..!
But it could be worse: you could have a phone fetish instead of a phone case fetish, and that would be much more expensive.
The flip cases that I have ordered so far have come in.
Also, two of the hard cases have arrived as well. (As an aside, I don't like any of those yet. We will see if the rest of the hard cases are any better)
I like the oneplus oem flip case because it is the only one that has a magnetic feature that turns the screen on and off.
That is nice.
But I find it too small and it doesn't offer much protection.
And it only has one debit card slot.
Not useful as a wallet.
The oneplus, cassette tape and book flip cases do not have a magnetic clasp to keep them closed.
I kind of like that feature.
It gives me a fidget to play with.
And it makes it more noticeable if someone opens the case to take my debit card? Dunno.
Lol
Taking a look at the back side of these cases, some of them are not like the others.
Some of the cutouts look off.
I haven't checked them to see if it affects function or not.
Honestly I don't use the camera much anyways.
If anyone has any questions about these cases, let me know and I will do my best to answer them.
If anyone has a suggestion of another flip case for me to try out, then I am all ears!
P.S. And yes. The book is my favorite case so far. Followed by the Tardis.
Hi, I am looking for the same, but it is so hard... I know exactly what I want but all of the good looking cases are plastic inside and all the silicone ones are not-so-good looking.
Anyone found so far a sleek and elegand flip case with silicone inside?
