Which ROM is the best one for RN2 Prime - Redmi Note 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
Since 2 years I use en.miui.com ROM for my RN2 Prime
I am on 6.11.10 from xiaomi.eu which seems to be the best one for Kuan from frandroid.com
http://forum.frandroid.com/topic/23...xiaomieu-root/?do=findComment&comment=3740188
I would like to know if there is some alternative or a really good ROM to install
Thanks

You're on one of the best roms, I don't think you need to change it. Have you skinnified it?

Skinny as in removing crap you don't need or ever used, like this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-2/development/best-sot-t3434915
Sent from my Redmi Note 2 using XDA Labs

DO I have to flash my RN2 with
SKINNY-V2 -> MIUI 8.2 Beta 6.11.10-SKINNY-V2 - Release Notes - Xiaomi.eu : https://goo.gl/jhmp6L
or only that on my offilcial MIUI 8.2 Beta 6.11.10 - Xiaomi.eu ???
And should I do a Clean install or can I flash SKINNY-V2 -> MIUI 8.2 Beta 6.11.10-SKINNY-V2 on my offilcial MIUI 8.2 Beta 6.11.10 ????
Sorry I am newbie on these steps
Things to do after flash ! Very important !
Using Root Explorer check in system/app/ and system/priv-app/ for empty folders ( some just with libs into ) and delete them ! Ex: jjhome , MiuiScanner , PicoTts... etc.
Use SD Maid to delete corpses (leftovers from apps) and then disable autostarts for the following apps : ( Help ! )
MIUI SDK (com.miui.core)
SIM Toolkit (com.android.stk)
Music (com.miui.player)
Google One Time Init (com.google.android.onetimeinitializer)
Download Manager (com.android.provider.downloads)
Contacts Storrage (com.android.provider.contacts)
Calendar storage (com.android.provider.calendar)
Calendar (com.android.calendar)
Backup (com.miui.backup) - and freeze it (unfreeze when you need it )
Xiaomi Service Framework (com.xiaomi.xmsf) - and freeze it
Xiaomi Sim Activate Service (com.xiaomi.simactivate.service) - and freeze it
Updater (com.android.updater)
Themes (com.android.thememanager)
Omacp (com.mediatek.omacp)
Notes (com.miui.notes)
OneTimeInitializer (com.android.onetimeinitializer)
PersonalAssistantPlugin (com.miui.home.launcher.assistant) - just freeze
MTK NLP Service (com.mediatek.nlpservice)
Google Partner Setup (com.google.android.partnersetup)
Google Contacts Sync (com.google.android.syncadapters.contacts) - if you don't use it !
Atci_service (com.mediatek.atci.service)
*Also disable autostarts for third party apps that you don't need to start at boot ( Ex: Facebook , Gmail , Youtube... etc. ). Don't forget to disable autostarts from MIUI Security app too

I'm not the developer for this ROM, but I would like to share this clean ROM I have been using.

Select : Mi Note 2
Codename: scorpio
Click Show Expert Settings to customize your ROM.
- I usually select don't overwrite recovery.
Note: Usually you need to flash twice for it to work, sometimes you get an error 7 if you're flashing from a clean wipe, if that's the case you can either:
A. flash again, check to see there is no errors.
B. boot to system and set things up; then reboot back to recovery and flash it again (so that the symbolic links are in place), you might need to root it before flashing it.

All xiaomi betas are stable for everyday use without problems.
I have used them in my redmi note 3 and when I have the bootloader unlocked in my Mi Note 2 I will also use it.

Ok bro, thanks for the answer. About 4 days ago I sent the request to unlock the phone but until now I didn´t receive an answer . My phone has a fake rom I don´t know if this means that is unlocked. Do you know something about this?
Thanks
They are celebrating the Chinese New Year, so be patient ... my cell phone also came with a fake ROM and locked, and I had to change it with My PC Suite, but the Chinese version.

No, at least not for all people. I personally remove all of them, because most of those are already updated and installed in your data partition and the apps in the system are unused.
I can recommend you to remove only those that you know (and you don't need) and those with "test" or "log" in their names.

Android 9 PİE Custom Theme Installation method

Hi Friends First of all.
The Galaxy Theme Store also didn't seem to load external themes.
The external themes I tested with Note 8 pie now appear on the device.
Now I'm going to tell you how.
1. First of all our phone should be rooted.
2. I added the ThemeTrial_Patch_Pie.zip file from the TWRP. https://t.me/androidatesi/1241
This is necessary for both Paid Themes and Full Themes
3. We're uploading to CustomOneUi Theme on https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=project.vivid.custom.themes.su
4. XDA Labs | bodhisattva_v5_pı to https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/com.envy.darkzerohand
Pie links from the link I'm linking is covered.
NOTE: You can only install on Android 9 pie version, 8.0 oreo and 7.0 nougat also turns up problems.
Watch out for this
5. After downloading the theme from the Play Store, we are opening the program.
3 requests for permission at opening
Root Permission
Authorization to Write to System
Theme Duration Stop Permission
6. Finally After you have granted the Permissions, we will find the INSTALL A THEME button and click on the theme we have downloaded and the external themes will no longer appear.

MIUI 12 OTA download links (probably Beta chinese)

Official first MIUI 12 EU version is up: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-note-10/how-to/rom-miui-12-xiaomi-eu-t4093051

Here are all the available MIUI 12 ROMS for Xiaomi Redmi and Mi devices. These are Recovery ROMS so you can either install using MIUI updater app or stock recovery method. More updates will be added soon. So stay tuned!

Download speed is very slow, 30min left and the big question.
Can i flash this o my global version of Mi Note 10? (locked bootloader - 3 day left to unlock) Will not brick my phone ?
How to install MIUI 12 onto Xiaomi devices?
Download the MIUI 12 OTA update or Recovery zip file from above.
Transfer the update zip to phone storage in the root directory. Meaning, outside every folder. If that doesn’t work, place the file in the folder ‘download_rom’.
Launch the updater app on your Xioami phone. Or go to settings > about phone > system updates.
Click on three dots on the top right corner and choose “Choose Update package”
If “Choose Update package” option desn’t show up, tap on the MIUI icon several times and check again.
Select the MIUI 12 ROM package from phone storage.
Your phone should reboot and update process will begin.
Once done, reboot to system.
Note: Don’t stop the update once started. If stopped, you will need to do the operation again right from downloading the firmware file again. This will not erase any data in your phone.
Not sure if we need some kind of Beta tester account to use that ? I will se

Does this include all the new features? I read somewhere Else that only high end devices Will get the full features of miui 12. The list is this. Might be real? what do you think?
Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro
Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition (Mi 10 Lite)
Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G
Xiaomi Mi 9
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
Xiaomi Mi 8
Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition (Mi 8 Pro)
