wipe everything, even format /system.
What model is your galaxy gio?
flash that model type only, not another model number.
Try flashing cm7.
Can you get into recovery?

Pretty old thread.. you should make your own to get more help i think.
Can you get into the recovery mode that you flashed? If so, do a full wipe trough recovery mode.
Most of the time you can fix your phone by flashing a new fresh rom onto your device.
Correct me if i'm wrong please. Fixed my own phone by flashing a new rom, worked out pretty good
Goodluck!

How to remove malware?

Hi, my android device got malware ( some apps) that cannot be remove even after factory reset or hard reset.. so.. how can i remove these apps?
Thanks.
Do wipe cache and full factory reset get in download mode and flash with firmware and again do wipe cache and factory rest if u have problem with samsung phones, if replica or china made than need to flash with full firmware.
Here it goes. You should backup important files first. Make sure to handpick the files instead of coying the whole internal storage/sdcard. Don't copy suspicious files. Now, do a firmware flash (make sure that the firmware is correct and the android versions are either same or newer) and wipe Both internal and external storage ( portable sdcard). That should be it.
Edit: If no firmware are available, then you can try a factory reset with full wipe.

Urgent Help

Hi, I have Tecno spark 2(TECNO-KA7O-H8024DEFGH-O-200618V302) which I rooted it recently and has TWRP installed . I accidentally wiped and flashed vendor.img with this recovery file. since then my phone can't boot to home page and I tried to repair wipe it again and again with no solution. Restoring my backup file(boot, Data and system) couldn't make it either.Anyone with this specific stock Rom is kindly requested to forward it to me or any other possible way round to fix this problem. Thanks in advance!
How about trying a vendor.img from an older firmware? Or all of it...

I tried this many times with no rewarding result.

(CURTANA) Flashing ROM without flashing Vendor Partition.

Hi,
Anyone know how to flash a custom A10 rom (like RR/Havoc) without the vendor partition ?
Whenever I flash an AOSP based ROM with vendor partition built-in, I loose IMEI and WiFi doesn't work.
The only ROM I got working is the Old Official Evo X 4.5, which doesn't have the vendor partition files.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You.
Never faced this issue before but have you updated your firmware. And I am curious how do you get your IMEI back again?

I was on MIUI latest global ROM(does that mean I had the latest firmware ?).
I get my IMEI back by flashing the MIUI fastboot ROM or any EU ROM.
IMEI has nothing to do with vendor. Vendor contains some low level os drivers. IMEI is present in persist. Did you wipe Persist by mistake. What is the installation procedure you are following sir.
