Sony’s statement on pulled Nougat update for Xperia XA and XA Ultra
“We’ve temporarily paused the Android 7.0 upgrade for Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra due to minor performance inconsistencies related to the over-the-air delivery system. Regardless of whether a user has been able to successfully run the upgrade or not, there is no detrimental impact on device performance or loss of existing user data. We’re aiming to re-commence the rollout as soon as possible with a seamless upgrade experience for all users, and will provide a further update in due course.”

My Xperia Z5 Compact has been barely usable since the OTA upgrade to 7.1.1, so I'm looking into burning a custom ROM. There's a Lineage ROM for the regular-sized Xperia Z5. Would the instructions and ROM also work for the Z5 Compact?

No, there are some differences between the devices. I would advise doing a clean install of 7.1.1 or downgrading to 7.0. Doing one of these will fix your issues. Also, there is a thread for Lineage on our Z5C here.

My Xperia XA Ultra Dual F3216 is not receiving upgrade to Nougat.
Every time I am checking for an update it keeps saying that I have the latest update.
Probably this is because the current Build number is 36.0.B.2.109.
Any suggestion on how can I change the Build number of my XA Ultra for me to update it to Nougat 7.0
I will appreciate any suggestion and help.
