Nope, some ppl already asked me for this on fb and I don't have, because I already updated
I try to search for the OTA but it gives me "not available network" despite that I have my internet connection properly working. How can I manage to get it working?

I have the Chinese version, I'm in Phuket Thailand and I am updating now via AIS 4G mobile Data. Maybe ZTE's servers were swamped when you tried yesterday.

Great news! Can you please confirm that all Google Play Services related apps (Allo, Duo, Chrome favorites and tabs syncing, Play Games main page and Play Store downloads, also Daydream VR and VR Services) are working normally? The last MiFavor 5.0 B08 was a nightmare for me and others on this forum because it messed with many apps from Google and from other developers. I will only update if things are working well.

I'm in the same boat as you. Since I've gone back to stock via edl flash I've noticed any app that uses system webview is lagging or crashes all the time. Play store works fine for me, not sure about the other gapps you've mentioned as I don't have them installed. Chrome and maps don't work for me and my GPS still doesn't work.

Thanks for your feedback. I think I will use AxonToolkit to convert my A2017 into the US version. This Chinese ROM has a lot of trouble.

Yeah wise decision bro. Be sure to follow all the instructions toolkit provides to ensure you maintain/have right modem for our model - a2017. I was planning to do the same, do you know whether we continue to receive ota updates if we convert to a2017u and whether it installs MiFavor English stock recovery.

As far as I remember, the OTA updates only work with stock recovery, but I can be wrong. The Toolkit installs TWRP and root for sure, and maybe the english stock recovery is installed when the bootloader unlock is done. The Toolkit's original thread has this all covered, and there are some videos on YouTube showing the process.

I never had any issues with casting to my Chromecast 2, I tested again yesterday, both mirroring my phone screen to a 1080p screen, and casting YouTube, Twitch and Netflix to it. No issues what so ever.

I didn't used much my camera, but the quality was already great. Now they added Beauty Mode, which works really nice, my mother in law loved to see her face not old. And the UI is better to operate.

I find with this build, WiFi networking is a lot faster for downloading apps from the MarketPlace. However, two key things don't work for me:
1. GPS - if you install GPSInfo - you will see that although you think GPS is working, actually it is A-GPS from GSM triangulation - so no height and location only accurate to 350 metres.
2. SMS - I can receive them - but I can't send. I have tried resets, running the HTC setup, all formats of SMS Centre numbers, turning 3G off, all formats of sending numbers etc - but nothing. So if anyone has got SMS working on the Virgin network in the UK - I would be grateful if you could tell us how you did it.

Windows7Phone sold at Japan is only 1 model.
There is also no schedule put on the market.
no Nokia, no HTC, no Samsung.
There are few wp7 users.
They also have little information.
We don't have development skill.
I touch wp7 for the first time by tg01, and think that I will import Nokia.

What do u mean? The gear is an accessory that pairs with the note, it has some standalone capabilities but works better while paired with a galaxy phone

As long as your Note 3 is updated to 4.4.4, and you update all the samsung apps, it should be identical. My Note 3 is much happier with the Gear S (and visa versa) since AT&T rolled out the 4.4.4 update. 4.4.2 was a little odd - S Health no sync, no replies to emails on the Gear S. But 4.4.4 is all good.
O Ok. So I have to install the 4.4.4 rom to work properly
i have the note 3 on tmobile and just looked and 4.4.2 is the latest version.
4.4.2 is the latest as they were rolling out 4.4.4 a few weeks back yet it had problems. I asked ATT yesterday and there is no ETA when they'll be rolling out 4.4.4 again... yet may be soon.
It pretty much depends on which Note 3 you have.
I even have the unbranded international Note 2 on 4.4.2 and absolutely everything works together as it should. Others (like above mentioned) have the Note 3 and not everything works 100%.
Note 3 4.4.2 works great !
Works fine here
Note 3 T-mobile with Hyperdrive ROM, 4.4.2 - everything on Gear S works 100%.

On the OFFICIAL lollipop release, it is possible. That being said, official release is only on the Note 3 9005 international, AFAIK its not available on the AT&T or Tmobile Note 3. I have tried several lollipop roms on the Tmobile version and the Gear Manager doesn't work, it only seems to work on the official release. Someone please correct me if Im wrong.

Hello everyone,
Glad I found this thread because I found myself having some doubts after getting this combo and today, I am not sure if gear s will in the future be able to be used at 100% with a note 3.
My decision about buying gear s was made upon the confirmation from Samsung store that gear s was 100% compatible with my loved note 3.
After a few days of usage, the first thing I've noticed is that the weather on the gear s does not update at all if I do not use the phone. Like if the phone remains on standby, the weather "service" does not run (sort of). My daily update is done at 8 AM and if the phone is all the day long on my suitcase, at 9 PM the weather date on the gear s is the same one from 8 AM.
If the phone is used/awaken, it updates. My question: Why do I need info on the gear s that for some reason to be updated, I have to check it first on the phone, right? Both devices do not make usage at all of the parameters we are able to setup such as "1 hour" update/refresh. The option exists but it is like if Android "sleeping mode" takes over any setup that we could choose.
Another issue seems to be that using this device with kitkat can be allot different of using it with lollipop. I am not able at all to compose or reply emails on gear s. I could swear that I've seen it be done on a review on youtube but I was not figuring out why I could not do it ... okay, figure it out, I use kitkat, not lollipop (at least, yet).
I've give it a try to the new ROM posted on XDA with lollipop (n9005xxugbnl8) and everything was going fine (could reply and write emails) until I start to receive an "unified deamon(EUR)" crash.
I've googled allot and it seems that this type of error is more common than I thought even in other devices not from Samsung. I've tried all the recommended procedures (clean data, cache, restart phone ... whatever), nothing seems to workout. This error is related with weather services, I even tried to change the apps (apks) on the phone but with no sucess so far. I had to role back to kitkat. Rather a missing info on weather than a regular crashed app.
I've shared with you my small problems so far. Thought about to return the gear S to Samsung store based on the lack of information their team had about the devices compatibility but I just love the gear s in spite of all and I am hopping that maybe the official lollipop release could solve this minor issues.
So far this is the most complete smartwatch in the marked and I love the design and concept. I will follow this thread to find out if someone have the same issues and keep you posted about any new or solution I may find too.

I am on leaked Official Lollipop ( N9005).
Unfortunately I have this bugs:
- Gear S do not BT reconnect to Note 3 after I lose connection - sometimes Gear S is disconnected, but non Note 3 I have status BT connected ???
- Weather on Gear S do not work - On watch I get message - allow actualizations visibility on mobile phone - if I try to do it, I get Unified daemon ( EUR) stopped
All other works perfectly including e-mails compose.
I hope that official Lollipop will be OK

First of all sorry for my english (I'm french) I'll do my best to be the most clearest as possible.
I just bough this nice phone from Oppo. In the past I was already on XDA for multiples smartphones including the Oppo Find 7.
because the phone is recently coming out I can't find a lot of informations I need. And most part of the joke, I don't speak chineese.
All that to say, I want to start sharing my experience on it, week after week with you guys. And maybe finding some of you speaking chineese and get some good advices and tricks. First to say, the OS is 50% cool and 50% tricky. Let me explain.
CONTACTS :
Before thinking your contacts are synchronise with your gmail account, creat just one to make sure to select the good "Storage Location"
The location won't change after that if you don't change it.
RINGTONES :
Originals ringtones are pretty nice, but if you'r like me and you enjoy to make your own this is kind of tricky.
Exemple : In the first screenshot you can see a ringtone I just download from "zedge"
BUT
If I go to Settings -> Sound & Vibration -> Ringtone -> Select From Files. I'll not be able to find my file. So I choose to use directly "zedge" for that.
CAMERA :
I know on previous version of ColorOS I was able to add some features/effects on the camera. But on this new version, there is no camera setting menu.
You can just take a picture, use some filters and that's all. Maybe using the Oppo App Store it's possible but like I say at the beginning I don't understand chineese. On the picture you can see the "beauty mode" is active by the AI but there is 6 more slots that I don't know how to use.
VOCAL ASSISTANT & WEB BROWSER :
I just understand a thing, when you are using "Google search" you have your favorites news just under the search bar. Even you selected "Chrome" as your default web-browser if you clic on one of them the OS will automaticly open it with this damn native navigator.
The voice assistant is just make me mad on this phone. You can't desactivated ! About this important part of my post, I'll be glad to understand what is writing on this screenshot I took, it's the setting of the voice assistant app.
And the most craziest thing, he block the "Ok Google" from the "Google" app :silly:
That's my first post on this subject. Hope to chat about more with you, if you have any ideas, questions, feedback.

All that to say, I want to start sharing my experience on it, week after week with you guys. And maybe finding some of you speaking chineese and get some good advices and tricks. First to say, the OS is 50% cool and 50% tricky. Let me explain.
CONTACTS :
Before thinking your contacts are synchronise with your gmail account, creat just one to make sure to select the good "Storage Location"
The location won't change after that if you don't change it.
RINGTONES :
Originals ringtones are pretty nice, but if you'r like me and you enjoy to make your own this is kind of tricky.
Exemple : In the first screenshot you can see a ringtone I just download from "zedge"
BUT
If I go to Settings -> Sound & Vibration -> Ringtone -> Select From Files. I'll not be able to find my file. So I choose to use directly "zedge" for that.
CAMERA :
I know on previous version of ColorOS I was able to add some features/effects on the camera. But on this new version, there is no camera setting menu.
You can just take a picture, use some filters and that's all. Maybe using the Oppo App Store it's possible but like I say at the beginning I don't understand chineese. On the picture you can see the "beauty mode" is active by the AI but there is 6 more slots that I don't know how to use.
VOCAL ASSISTANT & WEB BROWSER :
I just understand a thing, when you are using "Google search" you have your favorites news just under the search bar. Even you selected "Chrome" as your default web-browser if you clic on one of them the OS will automaticly open it with this damn native navigator.
The voice assistant is just make me mad on this phone. You can't desactivated ! About this important part of my post, I'll be glad to understand what is writing on this screenshot I took, it's the setting of the voice assistant app.
And the most craziest thing, he block the "Ok Google" from the "Google" app :silly:

I looove those Chinese screens here and there! No. I don't. They make me feel helpless. Even though I thought of myself as a language enthusiast, learning Chinese is nowhere near my agenda.
I'm thinking for now to use this Chinese version of colorOS for a year (in order to keep my warranty) and then change it to something else. But if it makes me really mad, I'll sacrifice the warranty and install a custom ROM...
For example, right now I'm trying to register an oppo account. The screen I'm seeing is all in Chinese.

I'm oppo r15 user from china, I actually don't like the coloros system but I think some of the problems can be solver by using ADB commands, if you're interested you can ask me anytime.

R15 owner in Aus. Shame there isn't a community for it. I'm not a fan of ColorOS but the phone is great.
Another Aussie owner of the Oppo R15 Pro, didn't like the launcher and went with Buzz Launcher, highly configurable to whatever you prefer. Worth a try_ cheers !!
Oppo ID register problem
Hi, I am Chinese user who lives in Spain. I bought the Oppo R15 Pro from China so the version is in Chinese. I wanted to register to Oppo ID, but I can't because I need a Chinese phone number. As a result, I can't change the design of the screen (theme) nor download some apps. So I would like some help . Is there any solution for creating an Oppo id been in Spain or change the language to Spanish?

@sd_shadow Hi, can the navigation bar be replaced with gesture navigation like with the zenfone 5z. I think it should have it especially with the latest update if there are any yet for this device.
I am planning to get it since it's already launched in China for the price of 5999 RMB. My only fear is not being able to install the Google play store. I hope it comes with the Google play store installed or able to at least.

I know i can install a custom app to do that but i want it built in by the phone manufacturer, all major brands have a version of gesture navigation by now except for Samsung, Lg and HTC. Check this video to see Asus implementation: https://youtu.be/FnFpsk11WtQ?t=76
Just an update, after seeing an up to date Chinese review of the phone with the latest build. It turns out that there is an option to enable the gesture navigation. Which is great the navigation seems smooth with no signs of lag.
P. S: I have already ordered my unit , hopefully it will arrive in less than 2 weeks time.

That wont work, I have tried the latest versions of those apps already. You will also need google contacts sync and Google Calendar apks added to the list. I think the issue is with ASUS they need to provide the exact suitable versions needed for all apps, also the order of installation is important. GSF should be installed last otherwise you will be bombarded with undisappearing pop up messages. The only way of resolving that would be with a system reset.
If anyone has a Taiwanese model, it would be great if they provide us with the exact version numbers for all apks.
I hope that asus provide an option to install google play services by update soon

I have downloaded the versions you listed i even installed Google Contacts Sync which i exported from the WW rom version. Still nothing seems to work.
As stated in a previous post the current CN rom version doesn't support Google sevices(Confirmed by an Asus representative). We will have to wait for the next update to get the support as promised.

You mean the official case from Asus. Yes it's part of the accessories offered for the phone, but it's very expensive(65$ USD) and currently it's offered only in Taiwan if i am not mistaken. I have recently bought a vivo iqoo neo 855 and after buying it I discovered that there is no information about it on the internet, literally I cant find any rom, or rooting tutorial, not even a single mention of this device on xda (and that is pretty rare here) the only information I found was a tutorial in chinese on how to flash firmware. So i was wondering if anyone knows anything about this, knows how to root it or how to unlock bootloader, or if you think this is possible. I also bought the vivo iqoo neo 845 about 4 months ago and immediately realized the same issue, short after I received it. Total lack of development on that device, which kind of makes sense, considering it is not even being sold outside of Asia. Our best luck would be in XDA Forums like this one I guess, atleast if/when our devices get popular. Keep the community posted and have a #debugged2020

Newly acquired a IQOO neo 855
I'm leaving in Canada and I've recently imported a IQOO neo 855. At first I've needed a 2-3 hours to figured out how to register on vivo without the phone number and remove some of the first bloatware. Than i wrongly downloaded Google apps from vivo store so everything was in Chinese language. Successfully remove everything than connect to Google via Account settings to have acces to America play store to really start building up my device the way i like it.
Funtouch is ok for now, but... They over-doing it.. everything is like more options just for the sake to have more.
I've been really surprise too by this lack of information and/or support over this model...i could even say. Ill be glad to start contributing over here more.
Good afternoon all, I also invested in the Iqoo Pro and yes there was one thread on here about it and how to register for an account, for all the good having an account is, it would be nice to know how to root and remove all that useless bloatware that's for sure, I just dumped all their apps into a folder and left them there, Now a few more threads have popped since, I have contacted Vivo customer services a couple of times and both times responses have been quick and helpful,
I ordered one piece. BL unlock and root cannot be performed, because VIVO not supported this (system unstability etc., saw on chinese vivo forum). On gsmhosting one new vivo phone BL unlocked with a special tool but it's risky. So no official way to unlock BL and have root.
In the Developer options there is a box which when ticked allows the BL to be unlocked so i dont know if this helps our cause to get rid of all the bloatware or not

I tried a lot of fastboot commands, but no luck of unlocking BL.

I have the Neo 855 and have managed to disable virtually all the bloatware and Chinese-filled apps without root access by following this XDA guide:

Using 3rd party launcher (you need a Vivo account to give permission for this otherwise it defaults back to the stock launcher every time you press home). I use Poco Launcher from the app store (seemed to work a little better on this phone than Nova Launcher) and mostly use Google's apps so it's now a pretty standard Android experience. I only left a few of the Vivo stock apps active - phone, messages, albums, calendar, camera, clock, compass, contacts, weather, file manager, itheme, imanager. I think other than phone, itheme and imanager, you can probably even disable all of those and use Google/Play Store alternatives instead if you like. Probably better to leave album and file manager alone too.
Ah I've tried third party launchers and can't get them to stay when home button pressed, I do have a Vivo acc (registered via email) but to no avail, so ill try the link provided above and see how i get on.

To get the third party launcher to keep working you have to dig in settings under Security, More Security Settings, Replace System Launcher. Toggle it on and enter your Vivo account password. VERY IMPORTANT: Turn off “Tap the home button to lock the system home screen” option. Then go to the default app settings in permissions and replace launcher with the 3rd party one and it should stick this time
I was wrong about one thing in my previous post about 3rd party launchers though - Nova actually works well. Another good thing about 3rd party launchers is that you can access some stock AOSP settings pages via long pressing the settings icon. The most useful is the battery page, which unlike the Vivo one, gives you your Screen On Time since last full charge.

Nothing for me yet, still says current Android 9 software is latest version of MonsterUI
I got Android 10 finally! Wow. Such an underwhelming update ? Hardly any difference at all from Monster UI on Android. 9. Stock apps very slightly tweaked visually, the clock font looks slightly different, some slight rearrangement in the settings menus (e.g. regular & live wallpapers on separate pages), the cool effect when you turn on monster mode is gone. Anyone find anything else?
Before you update to android 10 can you check something? I need to know if api2 for camera is activated, because in android 10 it's not.

No you won't be able to do that. And trust me, I tried it hard. For the moment it is impossible, not even searching on Chinese pages
