Need bootloop on Nexus 7 2012 wifi - grouper - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I need to put my Nexus 7 in a bootloop. Tablet has broken screen and touch doesn't work. I have the latest system image and clockworkmod no-touch recovery. Any solution?

Yeah. How?

Delete files From.
/system Using adb or Wipe System Folder Via Recovery(I don't know If that Would Work).Or Extract System.dat from backups and Delete few files then repack and flash.

How to use adb, if I can't get to setting and turn usb debug on. No touch recovery has no option to delete some files. I have no backups - why would I? Could you tell exactly how to do it?

Fastbutt yourself.

Strange. There are tons of threads how to recover devices from bootloop, but no one knows hot to make bootloop on purpose?

Let me guess, you want to show the bootanimation in a continous loop?
There was a way to put grouper and tilapia into bootloop, I accidential did so via flashing an early 'unlegacy' kernel for android 7 into an original android 5.1.1 and this did exactly, what I guess you want. The boot of the kernel finished in a crash of the system though the tablet reboots. Are you able to flash any kernel with twrp? At the moment I have 2 tilapia and one grouper layed to my desk for playing around, I'll test my solution and text back later, OK?

ultimate is fine anyways so I will stick with it. I had some random FCs but after another reboot all was good. could have been something with wiping cache/dalvik.
Edit: nvm, FAT32 it is, sorry for the clutter and thanks for the awesome kernel!

I had to recompile adbd in order to give a root shell.
My version will look for a custom "ro.teknoraver" property which I set in /default.prop
Sorry for this stupid question, but what is this Insecure ?
You can split a boot.img , change the ramdisk, if you wanted to .

I think people asking for stock kernel in flashable zip believe that fastboot commands are only easy when you have access to a PC with adb installed, whereas if a recovery flashable zip existed it is more convenient when you aren't near a pc

Root using IOROOT 25 & flash TWRP recovery using AutoRec.apk developed by Cloudyfa.
Then Flash whatever recovery you want to install.
Please note : while flashing dont ever forget to download the correct zip's compatible with your phone model otherwise there is always a chance for bricking your device.

Installing TWRP

Guys I have a 1/8 2100 which is rooted via framaroot and Supersu installed. I've read loads of posts saying install open recovery script via goomanager, problem is I don't have a menu button in goomanager. So I click on flash rom and it asks if I have recovery installed, I choose no and to search and download one for me. It finds TWRP and downloads it but doesn't flash it. I can locate it in goomanager/downloads but how do I install it

Why don't you use then goomanager?
Use xposed module to reduce size / layouts of app and you'll see btn.

Don't know but my guess would be -
TS have unlocked bootloader, so that means you can flash custom kernels.
I guess some dev use boot.img (kernel) add recovery in it and you could fastboot that or flash using some other tool...
I repeat - I still don't have my TS, so all this is just something I think they did.
I'm sure there explanation in OP (thread where's that method)
But if you are already rooted, goomanager should work - at least it would work on phones...

I've downloaded the TWRP. Img file through search for it in goomanager. For some reason probably down to dpi, there's no menu option at the top of the app like there is normally, so there's no option to install open recovery script. With this. img file, can it not be flashed via stock recovery

It shouldn't be that hard but Omate fuc**d us all...

I think KS will never see me again.
It's one thing to fail but to make fouders or backers total idiots - hmm...I'm not buying that...
But we'll see which firmware will my watch have...it's like kids playing and sending those watches...
