Yes, sorry, have been busy, I'll post a build from Very late August as currently I have issues with building that I need help resolving. Mainly because LineageOS moved to new kernel configs for the regular S5 and so I need to modify one in with the Sport stuff...
Also I currently took my dad's S5 Sport back to stock so I cannot test myself at the moment. If anyone has a spare S5 Sport for testing, I'd gladly take it to finish this ROM and make it official

No need to apologise, I appreciate what you're doing and I understand it takes some time.
If you need another S5 Sport, you can get one here https://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=112560349301&fdback=1
I bought mine from the same seller, no issues. It even arrived days early!

Nice! My father is considering a new phone here so I'll probably hold out for a bit of time and see if that happens. If not, I'll try and scrape some extra money together for another phone... I have a few to many because of other projects, AKA Android 4 Lumia so I have like 7 windows phones
Anyway, I'll get that build posted tonight and update the OP

It would be great if you could add Substratum support. I just flashed a CM14 build and Substratum in Legacy Mode left me with a bootloop.
Link below may provide some info on how you can do this...

Sorry about that mate! I should update the OP to mention this for now. I'll try my best to add support but right now I need to make the trees build able again with a new kernel defconfig. The current build is good in everything else?

To me the biggest issue is the white background though... and since this phone has a AMOLED screen well the benefits of a black theme to me are higher... 1 Eats less battery (turns pixels off), 2 Easier on the eyes, especially in dark places, 3 to me it just looks cool.

I've decided to put up with default theme for a while... CM13 build from other thread was too buggy.
Camera and Flashlight from the pull down notification bar don't work. Got a Substratum Theme to function in Legacy Mode, but it had some bugs.
The built-in root is adb only. I have the file to enable apps you may want to share it. I'll upload it here sometime, also will give you a logcat..
Also I got ViPER Audio working with the IO fix.. Had to set SELinux Permissive to install the drivers.
And lastly, Changing the GPU Governor in Kernel Auduitor causes a reboot.

Here is a zipped Logcat, Bug report, and the SU Addon to add root access for apps.
SU Addon gets flashed in TWRP.

If anyone needs root, then you can find it on the Extras tab of the LineageOS downloads page. I'll try to work on the phone today but my knowledge is not very good still

The root I uploaded works just fine, i haven't ran into any issues.

Lollipop, great!! Thank you very much bonuzzz, you're the man
And a quick question: Does Alpha (Exynos) support 64bits as well?
Hello,
Can you please attach screenshots of how it looks like and tell us what are the bugs that you've noticed
Best regards,

Well done good work, it seems stable and fast

I haven`t install it...but why is so important the Antutu score? Would you prefer to have a fully working ROM with decent Antutu score or a ROM full of bugs with high Antutu score? Just install it and you will have all your questions answers. And maybe you will help also the developer to improve the ROM stability by reporting any bugs that you will find!

LOL I laughed so hard at this one, updated before the day it was created :crying:
Hello,
I've noticed a few bugs so far:
- when recording video, it all seems fine but when you are viewing it its HUE changes, for instance my walls in real life are red but in the video itself they are blue (idk what that is)
- sometimes it cant connect to the camera (noticed it happens when you switch from video to camera)
- metallic sound in calls
Best regards,
James

Also lots of features dont work (crDroid features) such as double press home button for camera, or double pressing doesnt work at all.
Could you please provide a download link for Samsung apps such as S Health and Samsung account? No point of having sensors that we cant use

James

Following my way of think and also my hidden compromise with all users, I'm here to inform that crDroid will soon die.
I'm really glad for a ton of friendships made in android world and a bunch of real good friends!
Thanks to all of you boys and girls
I'm not having fun anymore and it means I need to stop
I really wish a best life to all of you!!!

So what man?
You can still update the ROM for Samsung Galaxy Alpha... it doesn't change anything just make sure this ROM has no bugs at all and its gonna be all good.
Although I am going back to 4.4.4 KitKat since its more stable and has a use of all these silly sensors and other stuff as well (5.0.1 is coming this month so theres no point of making any ROM's at all) JUST JOKING, I'll be using this ROM until a stable 5.0.1 ROM from Samsung is released!
Best regards,
James

Cyanogenmod Moto Z - griffin

Any word out for Cyanogenmod for Moto Z?
TWRP Team has showed amazing support already building recovery for it
The Hardware is awesome, would be cool if CM 13 or 14 comes to this phone
I hope but I don't think so.
CM does have very few SD810/20 devices. We have to hope for an unofficial port.
I hope so too, the phone is still new to the market, lets wait until developers get their hands on it
The problem with Z phones is the mods and how easy/hard it will be to support mods in other than stock based mods. But I sure hope that simple mods like the battery mod will work eventually. All depends on the additional needed software. Are the "Moto stuff" downloadable and useable on other roms than stock? Or do other roms need to build the very own support all from scratch?
İ finally built working cm14.1
But so many things are not working
Like
Wifi
Brightness
Simcards
Camera
Mods(are you kidding me!)
And also drains battery so flawlessly
But other things working like:
Bluetooth
Fingerprint
Touch
...
I'm working on it until someone upload official stock firmware 7.1 but this device need more developer and I'm alone on this project
If someone can help me contact me to build more stuffs together
just registered to say i've got most things working (ish) here:
the github url slash motoz-2016/android_device_motorola_griffin (not going to spam a bunch of posts just to submit a link, derp)
only things broken in 14.1 are:
- weird battery life issues (it lasts quite a while, but sometimes certain tasks seem to drain it way down)
- radio doesn't recover if it loses signal (curse you elevators)
- no mods support
- camera (this was working in 14.0 and died when i moved to 14.1)
- generally odd little things.
I havn't had much time recently to work on it (hope to change that soon) but it's been a daily driver of mine for a few weeks.
on the mods side of things, all the kernel support for them is already released on moto's github. it's just a matter of us actually using it (my kernel actually builds the kernel modules but that's not quite enough)
if any devs want to help contribute feel free to contact. (sent you a PM @erfanoabdi)

Ummm, I don't intend to give a lot of customization. Only the necessary ones. Plus, baby ROM is what you call this then I must say you should grow up from features and ****. I believe in performance and battery with the right amount of customisation.

Well, basically i do just need someone who Maintains a Thread with Me and My Team Mate here. I want to have someone who owns the Device to get advanced Reports and to have someone who Quotes Me on the Thread if Problems appear (Can be Device Specific).
If anyone is interested enough i will start a Thread which the Maintainer gets invited to. So let's Go! :highfive:
This definitely looks interesting, I'd love to see it take off!

Yes, I got a complete refund from o2 for my g5 after it's second repair (GPS u know..) and decided to go for the axon. I truely love this device!
So could the Patch be applied on the B04 Stock? Would be very nice, because we have a lack of custom Stock based Roms here

That was Luck I would love to have the Axon 7 too. That stereo Speakers and the Display... Mhhh....
But Yes, it should work on Stock. BUT YOu need to add Init.d Support if YOu want to use the given Scripts like Battery Calibration and Play Services battery drain Fix.
Another thing are the GApps. The LIGHT PATCH comes with Optimized GApps for 7.1. If You are on 7.1 YOu're good to go. If not, You should pre download a GApp Pack for Your Android Version to install it after the Patch. That should be all. And like always, do clean flashs! lol
BR
PS: Hope You like the Black Theme of AROMA. It's My first Theme so let Me know It Should be really AMOLED friendly...
Tested out on RR, and so far so good. I'm still playing around with it, but everything seems nice and smooth.

Appreciate your testing. Can you comment on features, benefits, battery, sound, etc?

I'm still playing around with some things. Ended up doing a complete clean flash of RR, Magisk 13, and this again this morning, so I haven't had too much time to just dive into everything just yet. Just tested sound over speakers though, and it sounds great. Still gotta see how battery fares.
If you opt to let the patch install Gapps, they're very minimal, and you'll end up installing most of them from the Play Store, but that gives you the option to keep whichever ones you want. There are also a ton of lib files, and some add-ons from Sony and HTC that are worth checking out. Will give a more detailed post after I've had more time to mess around.
I'm interested too.
A list with some information of the benefits would still be good.
There isn't any explanation of what this is. b.s.

I think the intention is for it to be a bit of a surprise for now. I'm still trying to figure it all out, but if you check the changelogs at the website, you can put a good bit of it together.

Glad to hear it runs! Well, there are hundreds of Features and goodies in this Baby. I'm working on Android since almost 7 Years and the Patch is the Product of enhancing custom ROMs to something more than that. Calling it a Mod is like calling a Operation on a Brain slaughtering lol
I will try to explain it a bit.
The Light Patch is the 3rd Version of My Patch System. The Multi Device Support is caused by excluding the Device specific Firmware from the customization which i usually would do with a ROM. The advantages of that are independent OS updates, Multi Device Support, Features which You can't get with AOSP, and it is better to develop than usual Mods or ROMs.
We have planned to create a own AOSP OS and some Apps in the Future which will include the advanced research behind the Patch and everything what i do. It is really hard for Me to describe all that. But i'm going to enhance My Project together with a new Partner and the Light Patch is the first Step on that Way. There will come for sure more Infos, Videos and all possible Things over the Time. And don't run away cause of my English! My Partner speaks a lot better English than Me, so the overall Quality will come over the Time. I'll let him do all the Social stuff here so i can focus on the development (finally). The Main Team is growing and our Maintainers will also get a place in our Org. We will soon have a own Domain with G Suite Service and everything looks bright for our Project.
I hope that wasn't to much bad English for One Post  Just take a look on My very long Changelog and try the Patch. You will not regret it, it is 100% stable if You follow the given Instructions

With all of the duplicitous and snake oil mods on here I'm not listening to 13 year olds trying to market themselves as A.R.I.S.E.v6TurboCharger computer geniuses. People need specifics- not hype.

I decided to try it out of curiosity, pretty much because I flash a lot, and try to stay open to new things. I'm a tinkerer, and I guess that's just part of my fidgety nature. Lol. But, as there's no official maintainer or posts in the development section for our device yet, and English isn't the developers first language, it seems that either flashing or waiting for response from people that have are the best way to get information for now. But if you download the zip and browse through it, there are a lot of things there that should theoretically add to the user experience.

[BOUNTY] AOSP Roms for Note8

Good news everyone!
A really awesome Developer @SaschaNes who has a lot of knowledge with making AOSP device trees etc, wants to help us with getting Official/Our own builds of Lineage and RR and other awesome AOSP roms. The only problem is that he doesn't have Note8 yet so he can't try/debug his builds. Currently I can help him, but if he had his own device, everything would happen A LOT faster. So if You could donate some money to him, it would help a lot. If he gets the device, by Christmas we might have a daily driver of Lineage 15 and other AOSP roms.
What AOSP roms could give us? Freedom! We could get new Android versions faster, and obviously pure AOSP roms that don't have Samsung Experience theming for those who don't like it. Pure Android also allows us to get more stuff to work on Note8 like Xposed or Substratum.

It's been a while since I was messing around with this stuff but as I recall, didn't ASOP Roms kill a lot of S-Pen functions? Or other stuff that TW-Based Roms can only do?

They do. But some people like AOSP. And having more roms is awesome. This way You can switch between different UIs every week or two. Plus You get Substratum themes and all Xposed modules. Aaand faster Android updates. Some people would like to have a Note8 and Pixel 2XL. But they can't buy them both. So they buy Note8 and this way they can still enjoy AOSP .
The only Samsung appstore I really use are the camera and translate with the s-pen. Other than that I use google and blackberry's android apps. Would all spend functions be lost? Like pressure sensitivity and the little circle that appears when I press the button to start using translate or quickly open apps?
I literally have ever other Samsung service disabled with bkdisabler. Stock android with the latest security patches and updates would be great.
How would updates work anyways. Would we ge then straight from google or do we have to flash a new room or every update?

If the rom would be stable enough we would get OTA's from Lineage. Or RR.

The only real downside to flashing AOSP roms is that you lose ALL Samsung Functionality. I am pretty sure the SPEN loses all the cool functionality - Live Write among others, and you lose the Samsung CAMERA for sure. there are other camera apks you can run of course, but not the SAMSUNG camera - which is one of the major things I like most about the NOTE - that and the SPEN of course.
Don't get me wrong - running AOSP roms have it's advantages but there is definately a trade off.

Some people think the Pixel camera port is better than stock anyway. That would run fine on an ASOP ROM, right?

Hi.
Is there any update on the ROM for the Note 8.
We are talking about the N950-F?
I need the ROM to be able to run Native SBS...
Isn't working on my Note with stock ROM, TWRP and su installed. It requires a CM12 or ASOP ROM.
