Just flash the MIUI camera version 1.7 ported from MI A1 phone. You can find it in the Apps and Themes section of RN 4 forum in XDA. IMO MIUI camera doesn't have auto HDR feature like Google camera but it does have the best image quality. Check the below link

It's impossible as MIUI is using it's own api for MIUI camera. They are in MIUI SDK (MIUI.apk in /system/app or /system/priv-app)
And this is closed sources so actually no way to get it on custom rom, it need a good dev who would like to have a deep look on it.
But try to use open camera app and set jpeg quality to 100% and exposure compensation to -0.67 eV, that gives me better result than google camera.

Will it work in mi4? In roms other than stock miui ROM
EDIT: I tried ,but theres no option for Shutter Speed & also when i chose mannual in focus ,the focus stucks, how to mannually adjust it
In the coming days, perhaps even today, will be updated in Google Play, with support mi4 and improved interface. It worked on all custom lollipop roms and on Ivans marshmallow rom, on other marshmallow custom roms it not work because on this roms used one base with bags.

Wow. That was fast! A new interface so soon!
Thanks man.
For all others, I've been a tester of this camera, it brings manual controls to Mi4. Even the focus one. So, you'll have all sorts of controls over mi4 camera.
Try google camera app
freeDcam is my favorite of all the apps mentioned , it has a few fc issues when the flash is used though.
on ivan's MM rom

Request: MIUI Camera App for 7.1 Rom´s (App or .zip)

Hello Guys
I want to Use the MIUI Camera App in a 7.1 Rom.
Anybody know how to extract the app and install this in a newer Rom?
I know that the . most of the 7.x Rom´s have Camera Issues and we are Happy to make Picture with them but to try a Slow Motion Video/ Timelapse or HDR without a Third Party app out of the Play store would a nice thing be =)
Greet from the
Maximaro =)
Same for RR ROM. Miui stock app takes better images.
I would love to have the miui camera app on this cm rom too, wow.
I don't think that it'll be possible... And also if you somehow do it, it won't work as good as when you were using it on MIUI... There are some better camera mods to use...
And also i have to ask that MIUI camera's quality is really that better? Or is the difference in the camera quality really noticeable?
I think the MIUI camera takes the best pictures. It's the only reason I haven't moved to a custom rom yet as my daily driver.
I was cm fan but when i tested miui i can't leave this system , it's much better than cm ,and it's more like custom rom rather stock Android
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using XDA-Developers mobile app
actually miui camera will need various of miui rom api's, so it is very difficult to port
Asked for the same before and from what I understood, porting that app will be super difficult. But I concur the camera app under MIUI is just that good. Would be mint to have it on other ROMs
Snapdragon camera works same as stock on MIUI (atleast I think so)

Yep there is a big difference, if you get the device you will notice
without stock camera there is lot of noises in low light and non of the camera can take image like hdr pro mode in miui cam, and also the manual mode, some of camera enable manual but only limited like shutter speed to 1/s or the max iso to 1600, i tried lots of cam flashable zips or app store app none of them are good.:crying::crying::crying:

You can try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/themes/miui-camera-port-kenzo-kate-t3670989 or this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/themes/app-miui-camera-ported-xiaomi-mi-a1-t3670607
This is ported from MI A1 Stock Rom. Works well on Custom Roms.
May not work on Oreo Roms.

He posted this before Google hdrr+ was there.

Which ROM Camera is the best?

Hey guys,
I'll be traveling next month and need a robust and good camera to click great pictures. It should be stable and should click good pictures with all sorts of focus and everything.
I am currently of RR Rom and the camera is unstable which is the case with almost all Android N ROMs.
So I am wondering whether to switch to lower CM version or flash back to MIUI for the camera to be top notch working.
Thanks in advance
Try latest nitrogen os testing build
It has face beauty, ubi focus (like google lence blur but in new way), chroma flash and many more features

Hey thanks for your response.
How stable is the camera?
It should not give any force closes or can't connect to the camera issues
well, for me one 20170412 rr nougat build the camera is stable but the camera app (believe its snapcamera or snapdragon camera what ever) is awful. highspeed video footage with 60fps does not work in dark conditions. if a working camera with good interface is a must.. i would take xiaomi.eu rom for this reason.

I'll check the rom out.
If not satisfied then will switch to extreme bloated xiaomi rom

Q. MIUI Camera into Nougat Custom Rom

Hi there!!
Is there a way to put Xiaomi MIUI Camera into a Nougat custom rom? Like NOS (im currently using this one). Xiaomi's Camera has by far best quality and also has HDR!
questions was asked many times before. if there is a possibility right now we would have the MIUI already. until now there is no MIUI camera for custom rom.

MIUI Camera is fused with MIUI framework. It works only with MIUI framework.

Google Camera 3.2 Lens Blur - Low Quality

I'm running Lineage OS 13 by @Speedo.thc on Honor 7
I've installed Google Camera 3.2, the last version compatible with Marshmallow. I really like the app as its fast and simple. I tried taking pictures with Google Camera Lens Blur but the pictures are taken with very low quality and there are no options for me to change the Resolution. I tried with v2.7 as well and it has the same result. Does anyone else have this problem?
It looks like LOS can't handle lens blur at high quality, you should ask the dev of LOS about it!

As far as I know, Google Camera v3.2 is the last that is supported by Marshmallow.
Google Camera v4.0 and above required Nougat and newer versions
It's a pity cause I love the Lens Blur feature but all the photos from Lens Blur has very low resolution.
