Have anyone tried to flash a unlocked firmware and get "OEM Unlocking" for N950U? - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Guides, News, & Discussion

Have anyone tried to flash a unlocked firmware and get "OEM Unlocking" for N950U?
Hi, just want to know is there any possible to get the bl unlocked for all US versions... As far as I know, there is no way to do that for S8/S8+, but how about Not 8?

Sim unlock and bootloader unlock are not the same.Unlocked firmware 950U1 is just sim unlocked, you will not get an unlocked bootloader. And sim unlocked firmware will not unlock your sim on 950U model as far as I know.

Unlocked BL, Custom ROMs and Sim locked phones

Hi,
I am using a 3 network locked phone. now since I already have an Unlocked bootloader and will flash stock rom with either wolfbreaks or Oodies, will it network unlock my phone?
similarly if I get an unlock code from 3, and unlock my stock gingerbread rom, will I have to buy another sim unlock code every time I change my rom?
Thanks
no.
sim unlock is permanent.
you dont have to unlock it again

[Q] If i SIM unlock my phone, will bootloader unlock allowed=Yes ?

I bought my Z2 from EE in the uk and i was very sad to find out that EE and other carriers stop you from unlocking the bootloader. So if i sim unlock my phone from EE, will i be able to unlock the bootloader? If not is there any other way i can make it say yes??

No and no.
This has been answered before. If you bootloader is locked, there is no practical way to unlock it.

G925F is an international variant which is unlocked by default.
OEM unlock option is only available in carrier locked devices like T-Mobile. so don't worry about it anymore, good luck.

I have a G925A and since I don't have ATT I can't connect to their servers to update from 6.0.1 to latest. But I do not have OEM unlock either. I tried to ODIN TWRP and it failed, presumably because locked BL. Any ideas?
Which part of the flashing procedure did it fail at? boot.img?
I have got the same issue. I install twrp 3.0.0 and try to install other custom rom and the flashing is complete but at the end E: unkown command log message will appear. What is the solution?

Question Pixel 6 Japan Version OEM Unlocking

I'm planning to import a brand new Japan version of Pixel 6 from a shop. I was told that the phone is not locked to any specific carrier and can be used on any network. Since the phone is not carrier locked, is that mean the bootloader can also be unlocked? Is there any relation between locked carrier and locked bootloader? I wanna buy a phone which can have unlocked bootloader. The shop people said they won't be able to check OEM Unlocking status.
you can unlock the bootloader. I have Japanese version and i changed the model to International and again locked it.
Have a look here.
Cheers
