Lenovo source code for 690M and 690Y - Lenovo Phab 2 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/phab2_pro_osc_v3.0_201612.tar.gz
Kernel, system, vendor, build and more, posting here for the sake of finding it and making it accessible to devs, Lenovo did a pretty good job of hiding it.
If you are not a dev source code probably is not of any use to you.

Could someone help share official ROM of PB2-690Y?
I get my PB2-690Y bricked, is anyone with same phone can extract your official Rom from device and share a link to me?
So that I can flash and rescue my device.
Lenovo smartphone assist is a mess, did not provide most Lenovo phone rescue at all.
The one share in thread with 690M cannot flash into device, will fail at beginning check.

I do not have Neobox myself, but I got curious about what phone that was and did search around for some info about it.
I found several hits with frustrated users like yourself have bricked their phone and was looking for help. The manufactor have no website or support for the phone, so it looks like its much up to the users themselves to help eachothers.
But I think I did find one page that I hope will help you to fix your phone. Someone hava had similar problems and have mad a blog about it to help other neobox mt6573 users.
He have also posted a link so you can download a copy of his own dumped rom, so that others can fix their phones by flashing it.
Here is the link to the blog:
<link removed due to forum rules, users below 10 posts.....>
Also check the blogpost with technical info and pictures of the phone so that you can verify that this is the same phone.
Here is a link to a guide for flashing rom (should be the same procedure as for mt6573 phones):
<link removed due to forum rules, users below 10 posts.....>
You will need some MediaTek USB VCOM drivers, but these I think you can find many places for download. (google it)
ps. I tried to download his rom dump to check the files. This is not a complete rom, because the preloader is not flashable. But I think this is normal for these kind of backups. I did do backup on my MT6575 phone and the preloaded was missing there too.
But dont worry, it should be enaugh to restore your phone.
Also you will need to use the MTK ROM Studio to create a scatter txt file and put in the same dir as the rom.
If you dont have that tool, I did create a scatter file for you:
View attachment Links_and_Scatter.rar
Note that I was not allowed to post direct links in my post, since I dont have 10 posts yet on this forum. So I have included the links in the attachment file.
Hope this helps you

need help for Rom of ZTE Grand X plus Z826

Hello, everyone.
I am new for andriod phone system. I have a ZTE Grand X plus Z826 with andriod 4, and trying to flash a new rom, but it is hard to find a custom rom for my phone.
Anyone has link to custom rom for my phone? is there some other phones rom which can used for my phone?
i download kernel source code for my phone from ZTE official open source, but that open source does not have boot.img, someone said it is just basic source code to build custom kernel code.
I am very new to andriod system and trying to do some work for my phone, but it looks not that easy.
does anybody has some instructions of "how to build rom" for the beginner , like me? or some tools to help building a custom rom?
some of instructions are too complex for the beginner, like me.
Thanks for advance.
anybody help me. i tried lots of instruction from this forum, can not make it.
I download kernel source code from ZTE open source, and followed instruction to build my own kernel, but unfortunately i failed. can not make it, so frustrated.
Please somebody help me this problem.
Thanks in advance.

Gigaset GS370 / Plus TWRP

Hi,
there is a new Smartphone with MT6750T: Gigaset GS370 /GS370 Plus.
Has anybody already made/compiled a TWRP recovery for this phone?
I want to use Magisk , so I need a custom recovery to flash it?.
Thanks in advance.
I'm interested in rooting this phone too.
I just bought it for measly 55€ as they are giving you 100€ cash-back for buying it right now.
I want to root this phone (GS370, not the plus version) as well. If somebody is going to attempt it, I would be glad to hear about the results.
Hey guys! Any news regarding this topic? Do you by chance know if project treble is being used?
Any news here? I tried to find a tool to root GS370 plus but without success. Kingoroot fails, SuperOneclick does nothing and zykoroot i can't find a download
Has anyone a idea?
There's probably not much going on in terms of projects for the GS370. Gigaset also has not yet released any sources for that device.
I've been in contact with their support recently and asked them when they're going to deliver Android 8 (later this year, they're waiting for drivers by MediaTek, according to the support rep) and when they're going to release their sources. My question regarding the sources was ignored and I haven't been able to get a clear answer from them.
Yesterday, i downloaded the latest update package from the ota-update-servers (they're chinese hosted btw) via their wonderful api. The update.zip contains the usual and a scatter file which (among other things) tells at which physical adress the recovery is located at. I am going to extract the original recovery today and try to port twrp for this device.

Have you made any progress with this?
Sadly not. I don't know why, but i can't get SP Flash Tool working with this particular phone. This is vital to extract/reflash the recovery or bootloader.
More info
Please tell us more. Could You give us the files?
hello!
Can someone provide me a link where I can find the stock rom / firmware for this device?
Need to get the boot.img :/

Rom for Zen Element, URGENT!

Hello Goodnight,
Consult urgently!
Does anyone have a X View Zen Element mobile phone?
My phone caused problems and I flashed it with FlashTool with a wrong rom and now it is frozen in the boot logo and does nothing.
I need if someone please have the equipment in question and can give me a backup copy of the system or the sccater file.
I'm not in a position to buy a new phone, I appreciate the help you can give me.
I tried to undo the brick with the FlashTool, but since I do not have the correct scatter file on the computer I can not do anything! I've been desperately looking for two days in the different websites / forums and I can not find anything for this phone. Not a single rom!
If even if I could provide the file sccater could try to develop a rom that works with this device and provide it to the community.
I bet I'm not the only one that I've searched in vain for help with this device!
I already appreciate all the help you can give me.
regards

You don't need to pay anyone
Follow this guide to build TWRP for your device :

If you still want to give money, consider giving it to charity

This was posted in July 2019, there has still been nothing done, why dont you compile it for us then when we send you money you can give it to charity.
This link you provided is not a guid to flash twrp, and the OP said he wanted someone to COMPILE twrp for the a20e.
Please provide the compiled file as per the original request as your link is useless.

Well, right now, my studies don't allow me to do so since it takes time to fix bugs and I won't take the risk to do it since I don't own the device.
When you compile a recovery, you have to make sure it's fully functional before flashing and providing it to other users, if there are still bugs, your device may be hard bricked. If I can't test it I won't take that risk.
