Will a Moto Z ROM work on a Moto Z Droid? - Moto Z Questions & Answers

I don't see the Moto Z Droid as a device on XDA. Would a Moto Z (normal, Force, or Play) work on the Moto Z Droid? I'm very confused and can't find anything. Information on this is hard to come by in my experience of the last hour.
Thank you!

Moto Z known as Moto Z Droid in USA.
If your phone model is XT1650-** Your phone is a Moto Z.
But Force and Play are different models and you can not flash those ROMs on Moto Z device.

[Q] neo v vs motorola motoluxe

ok, so i have a question, it's time to renew my contract, wich phone shall i choose: sony xperia neo v or motorola motoluxe, both phones have about the same specs. seems that moto m don't have a thread on xda. what is your opinion?
No brainer, the motolux runs 800mhz..... Neo runs 1024 can be oc to ,1800
Moto will never unlock the bl for a low end device, because of the spec of the phone and the bl unlikely to have much of a dev attraction so if you want custom roms neo is the way.
Also Se have a better history of software updates, moto will maybe do one but it will take months and still suck.
And no I don't hate moto, their hardware is great, their policies suck

Question regarding purchasing an Xperia Z Ultra

Hey everyone. New here.
I am looking at buying an Xperia Z Ultra and am wondering which edition you guys prefer. I have a choice of the Sony Android version or the Google Play edition. Which one do you think is better, seeing as they are both the same price.
Thanks in advance

if you need an LTE device, your choice will be between C6833 and C6806. The advantage of C6806 is the updates from Google, but both are fantastic phones... :good:

Note that Sony also sell the c6806 not just google.
What area/carrier? may make a difference to choice
I think you should choose the Sony version as you can convert it into GPe later on if you want. I personally prefer the Sony one as it's really beautiful and functional.

I have the C6806 GPE. Currently 335.00 at Expansys. Great phone, and I'm happy I went with the GPE. I can't find any of the bugs others had mentioned in the newest OTA.
I prefer the Ultra over my Nexus 5 and Oneplus One
I just bought the C6833 in White for £216 brand new, I'm not really a fan of vanilla android experience as it's too barebones for me, I just love the Sony software and feels like it gives more of a unique look than vanilla does. With the wonderful people on these forums, you can always convert it to GPe though (and back), give your self the best of both worlds imo.

There haven't been any announcements that I am aware of, we did get the 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 updates pretty quickly. With the Z3 and Z3 compact being released we will be a little further down the list if we do get it. I would guess we will see it eventually though.

There where some posts on the tech websites quoting rumors or unnamed sources a few days ago listing which Sony phones would get L. One listed Z Ultra and one listed T3 Ultra even though they probably came from same source. Until Sony confirms it or it shows up on my phone it is all speculation.

There was an official announcement about which Xperia devices would NOT get further upgrades a few weeks ago, and the Ultra wasn't on that list.
Generally, Android devices receive official updates for the first 18 months, so I'd imagine we'll be seeing L almost as quickly as the Z1 and Z2.

As I have said before, the zu and the z1 are on the same rollout is same build no's. So I think that if the z1 gets L we will. And if not it should be an easy port from either the z2 or the GPe

I would think that if the GPe got Android L, then the Xperia version would as well. And vice versa.
We should get L as Sony is better with updates now for their flagships. The Z saw quite a few major updates and so should the Z1 family. Ours falls in the z1 family so yeah we should be getting L. Even the Z series may get it at some point in time. Who knows. That would be really good from Sony

Motorola Camera on Custom ROM's?

Well I really do like the motorola camera app because of how simple it is, and after a quick search in google I found out that it was possible to have it on custom ROM's in last year Moto E and Moto G, as I didn't saw anything about moto E 2015 on that thread I came here to ask if anyone has tried this yet?
Here is the link to the thread so you guy's can check it out also : link

Short answer...no you can't...
What is it that you're missing? Maybe there are alternatives

This is Verizon! (catch the reference?) Big Red does not countenance such actions.
