Amplify - ZTE Axon 7 Themes, Apps, and Mods

so i downloaded amplify i cant get it to run im rooted with magisk all my root apps work but this one dosent i tried clearing the data and the magisk repo cache and same results any fixes? is there a flashable zip for magisk? and its granted permissions as well suggestions?

Amplify is not yet ready for Nougat. There's been lots of posts in the Xposed forums about it.
Some get it to work partially but requires pushing it to /system, setting certain file permissioms, etc.
It's just best to wait for the dev to update it.
Besides, Amplify is an Xposed module. It doesn't work as a standalone app. You don't mention anything about what Xposed you're using.

xposed framework lollipop--modules

anyone willing to build up this post on what modules do work on the g3 without putting the phone into a boot loop? yesterday i got xposed alpha 3 installed and had the g3 tweakbox. tried to install a couple other modules that i had on my nexus 4 (kitkat) and that put my device in a boot loop.
here are the list i got:
gmail app attachment size
playstore changelog
wa/wa+ theme
xgpm
xinstaller
youtube background playback
on the nexus, when i installed xposed framework, i got a file that i could flash from twrp in case phone got into a boot loop (it disables the modules or the whole framework i think) but didn't get that on lollipop. anyone knows of a way to get rid of a boot loop other than a factory reset? (had to do that yesterday so asking for future reference).
is it a trial and error to find out if a module will boot loop the phone on lollipop? or is there some other method?

Yes in twrp you can go into file manager and under apps delete the xposed app that is causing the bootloop wipe the caches and you should be good
Working Lollipop modules:
For the sake of good camera, I'm using stock based CloudyRom. So the results are for stock based ROMS. Will be updating the post after future tests
Working:
Obviously G3 Tweakbox
GravityBox (I have it for the volume button cursor control)
AppSettings (Surpisingly it works great. Just dong go below 540 for stock LG apps)
ChromePie
Greenify

and here i thought gravitybox works only for nexus devices.hah.i ended up buying tweakbox. don't regret it though. greenify works flawlessly for me. am running stock rom that came with phone. didn't flash any custom ones. i use app ops instead of appsettings though i just looked that one up and has a few more options. also lucky patcher works fine
let's keep the lists coming

I personally use and can confirm they all work; Greenify, Amplify, Flat syle bar indicators , G3 Tweaksbox and Gravitybox without any issues.
Hello.
I just need to ask something. Is there any custom ROM based on stock LG firmware (Android 5.0) which allows you to use Xposed modules, but keeping all the functionality of QuickCircle case?

Not for now... To install Xposed Framework you have to delete/freeze Quickcircle... But, in beggining weather apk was also necessary to freeze... Not anymore. There are some mods to use xposed and weather. Probably, some day, circle case will also be available with xposed

Can you elaborate on that? Earlier i got into a bootloop and had to factory reset phone and i lost the backup xposed made for weather and the clock thingie. A guy sent me the apks that the app created for him. Weather and clock, etc. You think it would be safe to just install the weather ones from within the phone(not flash from recovery) and make them system apps to have it working again? If not, can you advise please? Thanks

Please let me know if someday Xposed and QuickCircle case will work together without freezing anything in Titanium Backup

You mean that the version 69 could work with the quickCircle?
Hmm, I will backup and test it, it's very interesting...
Edit: Ok, I confirm that the 69 is ok with the QuickCircle and weather. That's great

Xposed Framework For Marshmallow Is Almost Here

Found this on Android Police and figured I would post a link to it here. http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/11/10/xposed-framework-for-marshmallow-is-almost-here/ . Apparently according to a post by rovo89 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63758152&postcount=23) a version should be out later this week. He does state that not all modules will work out of the box though. With Marshmallow coming to our devices soon and those who have xposed modules they really don't want to part with when the update happens I figured I would share this here to let you know that you don't have to.
You will have to disable all the security for that to work though. Bypassing all the good Google did with MM. Just a thought.

I still can use encryption. And xprivacy is better than MM's new permission manage.
For those who are interested they have released an Xposed zip which should work with Marshmallow. There is also a forum post on modules that are working with the new version of Xposed. If you are interested you can find the download page for the zip here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 and the page about which modules work here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-list-modules-xposed-t3249162 . Personally I would suggest trying Marshmallow without Xposed first to see if what you used an Xposed module before is still needed and then if it still wont do what the module did then install Xposed. For those wanting to know the more technical aspects of Xposed you can read about it in rovo89's GitHub here https://github.com/rovo89

good Rom for marshmallow

Hi everyone.
I am (like a few I assume) still on marshmallow for xposed. So I was curious, are there any active developments in custom MM roms? And if not, which Rom is good even with current issues/abondoned? I was hoping to using fluenceuhd but cannot he the patch or Rom zip and was curious about trying cyanogen. Any ideas or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone could recommend a Rom that could replace the xposed modules I use then I might consider updating to N. The key xposed modules are:
Rootclock
Amplify
Bootmanager
Lucky patcher
G4 toolbox
Gravitybox
Youtube adaway
Youtube background playback
Greenify
Enhanced and burnt toast
No overlay warning
Thanks

Id say Res rom best for nogut. Most customizable. But that situation is up in the air because developer no longer working on it. But there's others trying. I do miss xposed too, wish it was on nogut already. Youtube is so annoying with all the adds.

Cool thanks for the advice, ill check it out
I was in the same problem some time ago, but i finally went to nougat.
Fulmics rom works great, lucky patcher works in the same way that it does with Xposed.
I've replaced YouTube background play with yMusic(try OGYoutube, its also very good)
So, almost all the Xposed modules that you're using are can be replaced: almost but GravityBox.
Anyway, the rom have some mods that can do some of the things that GravityBox does...
To finish, i think you should move to nougat.
Hi Skrb, thanks for the reply, that is exactly the sort of review I needed.
I am not desperate to move to Nougat, just getting bored of not having much to do with MM; but I shall certainly consider the upgrade.
The only thing I am uncertain about is the possibility of downgrading from N to MM> I understand that to do so you need to also downgrade recovery/boot? Anyway, I'll look into it - just so I have a safe way of returning to my TWRP MM Nandroid
I dont know, but i think that for downgrade you will have to flash the boot.img from a PC... But i cannot guarantee that
You only have to flash mm boot.zip and mm modem.zip via twrp from autoprime
Then you can restore TwrpBackup
And also flash N boot.zip and N modem.zip before flashing Fulmics Rom
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G5/H850
I've just switched back to MM from nougat purely for xposed! Also seem to be getting better battery life too even though it was great on nougat, seems to be even better on MM. Although it might be just me imagining it.

XPOSED for Nougat discussion

There seems to be a few different versions of xposed for nougat currently available. Lets use this thread to discuss what works and doesnt work for our device.
My setup
ROM: Nitrogen
XPOSED: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221
Modules: minminguard, youtube adaway
works/doesnt work: so far both modules appear to be working. i have had a few app FC on reboot but nothing significant

Great minds think alike.
Haven't really missed Xposed on Nougat. Can't think of anything I used Xposed for that I'm not getting with current ROM (Screw'd) and Magisk modules.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
I was preparing to switch to another ROM with a clean flash in mind so I decided to try this on my 6P running July security, RR ROM, Franco Kernel, and Magisk - even though it's not compatible with our device. Flash succeeded and device booted but immediately after a plethora of apps crashed. I was able to open the manager app and browse through the list of available modules but clicking on download yielded a microsecond download before failing in all cases. Pretty interesting at any rate. Apk confirmed that the framework had been installed. Hopefully, this helps push xposed development forward a little bit
Yeah, same here...gave it a try and multiple app crashes. Everything was fine after running the installer. Will try again when official support for the 6P is out.

yea having the same issues after installing the framework had to restore for now...
Installed v87 and seems to be working
so far enabled adblocker, youtube adaway, and greenify modules
greenify or youtube adaway modules don't seem to be working
running RR 5.8.3 - 7/8/17
I tried a version on Pure Nexus 7.1.1. Lots of FCs, some insignificant, some critical system processes. Turned the Greenify and 3C modules. 3C worked fine, but Greenify couldn't see that it's module was active. Xposed uninstall .zip worked fine for removal and return to no FC state. Sad.
running stock 7.1.1 N4F26T
working exposed version
xposed-v88.2-sdk25-arm64
no work:
xposed-v88-sdk25-arm64
xposed-v88.1-sdk25-arm64
xposed-v89-sdk25-arm64

[Mod][Xposed] Extended Power Menu

Sup guys! I was finally able to find time to convert my previous patch for EPM to an Xposed module! This was not as simple as I expected, as it required dynamic XML generation/integration, which can be cumbersome to say the least. I tried to keep the code as generic as possible to support other models of the A2017, but there are no guarantees beyond the US model. I did add a configurable option to add a bootloader button, but as of this posting (B32), ZTE has disabled this functionality.
FAQ:
1. Can you add support for my model?
- Possibly, but at the minimum you would need to post your framework-zte-res.apk. Specifically, the files layout/global_dialog.xml and layout-land/global_dialog.xml are needed.
2. Does this support MiFavor 5.x?
- I cannot say, it's only been tested on A2017U B32, which uses MiFavor 4.x.
Thanks to wanam for the simple settings popup and apsun for the RemotePreferences library.
Xposed page: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.none.epm_zte
very cool that you did a "port", have my thanks - even when I'm not running stock most of the time

Only tested on B32 thus far, which runs MiFavor 4.2.
Works on Sl!m M!Favor 5.0 / 7.1.1 v 2.0. (A2017G).
Thanks man! Your the greatest! Any chance you can add the 3minit battery mod like last time
I would love to use this, however i don't want to install Xposed since i don't want to break safetynet...is there any way you can make this a magisk module as well?

Yes but the Xposed Installer app has a toggle switch to temporarily disable Xposed. So whenever you need to use an app such as Android Pay just disable Xposed and and then re-enable it when you're done.

Not worth it if i have to reboot my phone when I want to play games that require safetynet and use banking every time oh well, can't have all the pleasures in the world, but it would be nice to have this as a magisk module.
The thing is, I don't believe it's possible since you need to replace a small part of a file, not the whole file. I don't know how the Xposed module works (or Xposed itself) but I believe it somehow replaces that small part. If there was a Magisk module you wouldn't be able to further modify the framework and it would only work for one mifavor version.
I think this was already discussed but about a flashable zip version
Edit: Yeah, the dev talks about dynamic XML generation/integration

This is correct. I went with Xposed for better compatibility across multiple h/w & s/w versions. ROM authors can likely cook it into their framework using the tutorial from the other thread :good:
Ah bummer. I was hoping to use this module but I'm running v87 Xposed (PurifyOS). EPM requires v88.x. I'm only on unofficial Xposed because Unicon works with it.
If I decide I don't need Unicon I'll definitely update and use EPM.
At the moment I'm using one of the many reboot menu utilities to popup on double press of the back button (using Button Mapper).

I can confirm that this works on stock A2017G B09 with flashable Xposed. may also work with topjohnwu's Xposed but I couldn't manage to make the modded xposed installer find the xposed installation
The ROM is stock B09, from raystef66's flashable zips
Here's a screenshot where you can barely see the model below
So basically you can add that it's compatible with G-B09 somewhere

Works on MF5.0 too (either SuperSu or Magisk). Only if you use the flashable xposed framework v88.2 SDK25 + xposed installer + your apk.
Thnx ! (does not work through Magisk module installing the framework. Installer error framework not installed)
works on B35
Works on B09 Nougat on A2017G, although it does not play nice when messing with screen dpi. I am currently on 500 and icons are misaligned.
