new Update to 47.1.A.2.374 - Sony Xperia XZ1 Guides, News, & Discussion

I recieve this update today. I don't know what are the changes but the October update is included.

I updated and my manual mode in Camera no longer has the scene selection above the shutter button. Anyone else have this?

New camera mode question

Welcome
Can someone please explain me what this two features in the camera are ?
Upper menu - I think should turn on/off autofocus (but doesn't do it ...)
Lower ring - you can choose metering mode (spot / matrix / center-weighted average)
I figured out the upper thingy. It's a light assistance to the autofocus. When it's dark and the phone can't get the sharp image it turns the led on
Which version of EMUI do you have please ? The Indian EMUI 3.1 has a very "spartan" Camera interface.
Or did you download the camera APK from somewhere please ?
Manual settings to the camera came up with the B140 update. From what I know it's only available in France but I downloaded it somewhere from xda and updated my phone manually.

Long exposure issue h850 after v20a update

Guys, after update to 7.0 v20a, everything was fine, and then I tryed to make some long exposure photos at night and every photo with set up from 5 to 30 sec shutter speed goes completely white. I did factory reset, camera app cleared cache and data and that didn't fixed problem...
Does anyone has the same problem?
I solved this problem by returning to 6.0... that is not great solution...
I've noticed this aswell. IIRC in MM the camera preview view didn't lie that much about the shutter - if I take like 4sec picture in dark room on my nougat, it looks fine on the preview, but the saved photo will always be really white. I mean, I'm not a pro, but I used to take pretty cool shots without any hobby backround on the manual mode before, but now in Nougat the manual doesn't never give me the same quality.
This is so bad... I did update to 7.0 again and I had same problem... Don't know what to do...
With 7.0 v20c is working properly.
Really? I don't have that update yet, and I saw that there is spanish branded Telefonica v20c, so maybe I ll update it until Open EU comes out.

Camera Issue Oreo Update

Neeever mind. I found the manual mode. They changed it from a separate menu and put it into the new "mode" menu with all the camera trick modes like "pop out", panorama, timer, etc.
The manual mode is greatly improved now with much more intuitive control.
I just got the Android Oreo 8.0.0 yesterday. I just went to use the camera and I cannot find the 3 dot menu on the main screen to get into manual mode. I use manual mode a lot! If anyone knows how to enter manual mode of has a fix please post it.
Other than that the update fixed a BT issue I had and I have not encountered any other issues.
Thanks

Emui 8.1 - Honor 10 camera bug

I'm using a Honor 10 with EMUI 8.1.0
Patch version: COL-L29 8.1.0.146 (C432patch02)
Actual version: COL-L29 8.1.0.146 (C432)
Issue:
When using the camera with the AI and it recognizes a human face (portrait mode) I can only shoot two pictures no matter what I do.
At the first two picture taken, it can be seen on the lower left small picture preview icon that the photo is taken, but after that, no matter on what I aim the AI can change its mode (e.g. from portrait to text), but neither the software camera button does not do anything, neither the volume buttons.
The button itself is pushed but nothing happens.
I've already tried to erase the cache and wipe all data what the camera have from the application settings.
Also tried to restore default settings from the camera app settings, but nothing helped.
This issue occurs since the latest update which are fixes some pubg related graphical issues.
Before that point I could do infinite portrait pictures.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Any idea what can I do to fix this issue?
Same issue
I have the same issue, I have also taken the same steps to try and eliminate it.
Build number: COL-L29 8.1.0.148(C432)
I have found that disabling AI camera stops the issue, the camera still does the face recognition and focus, but you don't get the AI enhancements and the auto portrait mode. At the moment I've just had to disable AI which is a shame

Question Can someone dump the stock camera .apk? (pretty please :) )

I am really hoping you can touch to focus on video on the new 1 III model... If someone can confirm/deny I would be grateful.
In any way, uploading the stock camera .apk would be helpful for everyone curious to try it on other xperia devices.
There you go
You can touch to focus or manually focus during recording in the cinema pro app which is focussed on video capturing and editing.
However auto focus during recording didn't work too well in a quick first try. It just couldn't get a hold of the sharp point. But maybe I did something wrong or this will be fixed.
Manual focus however is a dream - wouldn't wan't anything else. You can even preset 2 focus levels and automatically switch between them.
I just downloaded this to my Xperia 5 ii it works I like how they made the basic mode and still have the other options

Click to collapse
hi liggerz87, can you tell me if this new version of the app allows to launch the Camera with the dedicated physical button?
If you hit the camera button it pulls up the normal app but you can use the double power button tap to open it by default that way
Also someone made a macro that works only prob you can't use the standard camera app and it disables it
