About:
"Sony XPERIA DarkRes" is designed by a Sony XPERIA user for Sony Xperia devices.​This is a dark theme designed for XPERIA devices that uses a dark wallpaper, custom actionbar and transparency to provide a unified look across the UI, with just enough contrast to make it pop a little more than being fully blacked out.
It's a work in progress so will be updated as and when I come across bugs or they get reported.
Requirements:
OS: Pie/Oreo​Device: Sony XPERIA.​Theme Engine: Substratum and andromeda​

You are required to be running the dark theme of any app that has the option to choose it. For Gmail I'm using the "dark theme enabler" using EdXposed. See HERE for how to install it.

Thanks to @serajr for the hint we know the way to do this is by opening a cmd prompt window in a folder with adb and type...

...hit enter then copy and paste the following into the same window...

pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.sonymobile.themes.sou.cid18.black
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.sonymobile.themes.sou.cid19.silver
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.sonymobile.themes.sou.cid20.blue
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.sonymobile.themes.sou.cid21.pink
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.sonymobile.themes.xperialoops2
...and that will remove any pre-installed themes which cause a conflict with Substratum.
Installation:
Disable any previous SXDarkRes overlays in Substratum then uninstall the previous version of this theme, reboot.​Install the theme, build and enable/install all overlays, enjoy!​Download:

Definitely interested in in giving this a go. Hope you get the playstore to let us download it. I had almost got to this stage by juggling a couple of substratum mods and downloading an old phone apk from 2016.
Never got the black text on the lockscreen sorted.
Looking forward to having everything in one package, nice and easy.

Android 8.0 has integrated OMS on a system level. No root required.
You will have to use Andromeda to start Substratum every time you want to make a change (requires desktop).
See my thread mentioned in the title.
EDIT: Didn't see that you mentioned Z3 Plus. NO. It will not work on Z3.

Just uploaded a new apk to the Playstore and it now shows that it's supported on x number of devices whereas before it the number was 0, not sure how long before the update will become available though.

App from Playstore doesn't work correctly. I'm unable to open it in substratum.
Free app from here works without problems.

The play store theme FCs when trying to access it from the Substratum app. Ive submitted the logs from the app, if you need more logs please let me know.

I had used thus theme for almost the whole day. I haven't used app from Playstore. I recognised that everything looks very good nevertheless I had problems with group messages from whatsapp in notifications. When there was only one message the sender was in white color. Immediately upon I received second and next messages the name of sender changes to black color (almost unreadable). In aqua email app in header of the email was white text on white background so unreadable. Menu for setting of all apps is with transparency because of it in some apps it was almost unreadable. In aqua email app again in settings site text on white background. That's all I observed.
Just for information I uninstalled all Sony theme as is expected.

Thanks for the feedback and the patience, at this point I just don't know what the problem is. The theme template has had a few updates which are included in the latest release so if there are still licensing issues can you let me know asap please.
