Camera apps supporting "Portrait Mode" (Stereo mode in MIUI) - Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus Guides, News, & Discussion

I've discovered that in Ressurection Remix and probably other ROMs that the monochrome camera is accessible, and I can use it with the built in camera app. There's no blur support, though. Does anyone know any apps that can do it?
I'm looking for something that actually uses the second camera, rather than computer-generating it.
The Mi a1 camera port doesn't do it.

Just install Google camera hdr+ and use lens blur. Exactly same thing.

Can anyone make a Google Camera apk with wide-angle camera support?

I really like the Android Stock camera app, more simple ( with less options but I don't care) more faster.... But I'm in love with the second camera and I would like to have it on my G5 working perfectly, so can anyone make Google Camera work like Whatsapp camera (tapping the flip camera switch to the second back camera)
You should use the Snap Camera that all the CM based custom roms used... It's just like Google Camera!

Telephoto Camera in AOSP

One of the first things I did when I got my S9+ was installing LineageOS without thinking much about how it affects camera quality. Google Camera is awesome but zoom is crap for obvious reasons. Now I'm thinking about switching back to touchwiz for the Camera App, Telephoto and variable aperture.
Is there any hope that AOSP 9 (LineageOS 16) ROMs will expose the telephoto lens to apps (and that there will be apps which are capable of using it)? I read that Android P would give apps access to all cameras.

Poco Miui Camera app for custom Roms

So I've been using the Miui Camera app for a little while, just before I unlocked the phone and went to LOS16. On LOS16 I'm using the default camera app, but am missing a couple of things from the Miui Camera app. In particular the Fingerprint Shutter and the different modes (AI / portrait and such). Would it be possible to create a separate apk file of the original Poco Miui-camera, to run on Custom Roms?
Exactly my thought. This is the only thing i miss from MIUI rom! Hoping there's some way we can install the stock camera app on LOS
Its know fact that xiaomi and other brands original camera will not work on los 15, 16. Its because it uses code that is not opensource and is locked to miui system. Only alternative is google cam port, or using camera apps from google playstore like opencamera, footej camera and others.
Can you use the video stabilization in LOS 16?
Or the slow motion?
Slow motion is not working. Video Stabilization is on, at least, that is what it says. Seems to stabilize my movement.
Main reason I am on LOS 16 at the moment is Android Auto, which works there.

Manual Camera (for video) app on ASOP

Hi there!
I recently switched to an AOSP Rom (bootleggers) and I've been wondering if anyone has experience with any camera apps that support manual mode for ASOP. I've tried filmic but that is not compatible with the wide angle cam and while I find gcam great for photos for video I like more manual controls. So what are some of the apps that do a good job with the v30's cam?

Cam apps comparison

Hi guys
I've seen that many people are interested to get anx camera working. I'm on newest syberia and anx is working.
But I'm wondering why all wanna have this app.
In my comparision anx cam to gcam there's for me a clear winner (you'll see a big difference if you zoom in the pictures) :

I've tested in the same area by night and by day.
Both apps are many time adjusted to get the best result of each app.
May there's someone who uses another app with good pucture quality but for the moment gcam 7.3.018 is my favorite.

I agree with you on photo quality.
However stock cam supports better portrait mode, ultra wide camera video recording, manual mode, pixel peaping, etc...
Gcam focuses on quality of standard features, MIUI camera focuses on widening features. There are times MIUI camera has advantages over Gcam, so having both is a better idea than just to pick one.
