Heya OP,
I'm currently running Lineage 14.1 with Android 7.1.2 on my I9100 after following djibe89's superb installation and root tutorial
Unfortunately the OS is not running as smoothly as I had hoped, and I am also searching for a leaner ROM.

[Q] Best Lollipop ROM for I9300

HI guys,
Which is the best Lollipop ROM for I9300 with,
1. Good battery life
2. Great Performance
3. Stability
Any suggestions?
Resurrection Remix is nice.
Send from my G900F @ Ressurection Remix using Tapatalk.
I think the best lollipop rom is nightly cm 12 from just archi.
i agree wirh Pathera
I've been wondering the same thing. I've seen people post problems about camera no longer working or not being able to use wifi and other network functions. While others reported that their phone started to overheat.
I'd like to flash Lollipop on my i9300 but I'd like a ROM that's as close to Google stock as possible and yet is stable. Which would fit this description the best, Archi's cm 12, Ressurection Remix or some other ROM?
more then satisfied with temasek's cm12 ... everything works perfect, fine battery
CRdroid have no issues best performance no leakage of ram and balanced battery life
Another vote for temasek's cm12 unofficial build. I'd go that far to say that it's the best ROM ever for i9300.
Temasek FTW!
Temasek's and arter97 cm 12.1 LP 5.1.1!
Super stable, battery saver, and costumizable.
Note that it is a cm rom, so with all cm roms problems, namely random rebooting and car Bluetooth issues...
Anyway in my opinion the best i9300 LP ROM so far.
There is a paranoid android official 5.1.1 for i9300 in their website. It's pretty stake stable but lacking in features. Although you need to flash boeffela with it otherwise it won't boot after first installation.

Which 5.1.1 based stable ROM to install

Hi, yesterday , I flashed my 1st custom ROM on moto e xt1022 RESURRECTION REMIX MM 5.6.8. But I didnt exprected there wont be any MOVE-TO-SDCARD feature for apps in this ROM.
I know ADOPTABLE STORAGE in MM is a better opton, but I have to change memory cards too often in different phones, so that's out of option.
suggest me a stable 5.1.1 based ROM which is well and tried.. Thank you
A little bit of searching might help you.
You may try mokee ROM (LP version)
Try Mokee,maxiCM or Exodus.
temsek
i m using temasek cm-12.1-20151117-UNOFFICIAL-condor ..this is the stable without any single buy ..like a stock rom ..no prb at all u should try

Lineage OS kernel support

HI guys. I have galaxy i9300 and I have installed the lineage os rom 14.1. My phone used to face a problem with charging because the ac charging gets down to 100mah or 200mah if I install new roms. so always I need a kernel to control that digit and make it 1000mah.. but on this rom lineage os 14.1 I didn't find any kernel that I can control my phone
my question is what configurable kernels does lineag os 14.1 on I9300 support? please help.. thanks
Edit: I found the solution by youtube.. I couldn't find the compatible boeffla kernel on their site for this rom. but at youtube I found a specific boeffla kernel for lineage os 14.1 or cm 14.1 for I9300 which is weird that I couldn't find it on boeffla site... Everything works just fine the kernel is functioning and the rom come with 35000+ aprox antutu score which insane considering the device
youtube link? and name and version of the kernel?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVocfB8uqVg
go to download link in description. don't forget after flashing the kernel to install the boeffla apk
The problem with custom roms is they get slow and glitch out over time so make sure you do a backup once you get the phone into the state you're comfortable with so you can restore efficiently. You have to remember that the i9300 is about 5 years old now.

[Problem] My GT-P7500 with TWRP 3.1 won't let me install the [AOSP] Android 7.1.2

Hey guys,
as said in the title i can not install the AOSP Custom roms on my GT-P7500. Android 7.1.2 and 6.0.1 are giving me the same Error: 7 when i try to flash it with TWRP! It also says i'm using a rom for "p4" and i would have a "p4tmo" which is definately not true.
I was able to install the AOSP Android 5 but it's really buggy and since others had no problems with the 7.1.2 i'd love to get this running. There was a hint to try an older TWRP version but i couldn't find another version than the 3.1 for this device.
If anyone has an idea what could help i'd appreciate it a lot!
Thanks peeps
Edit: I installed CM 10.1 now and at first this rom gave me the very same error. After editing the update-script file in the rom i was able to install it though. This modification does not work in the AOSP roms.. any idea on that?

Custom ROMs

Hi guys! I recently flashed Lineage OS on my device, I experienced some minor bugs(fingerprint not working well), I'm missing some features such as AOD,DT2W etc. I want to find a perfect ROM for my needs above, What Vanilla ROM do you recommend? I don't want ROMs with gapps.
