[ROM][7.1.2][OFFICIAL][24/9/17][Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 KLTE Sprint] - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Android Development

Hi everyone, after hours of experiments and some pain I've found the solution for G900P, thanks to Resurrection Remix.. they made really good job, I hiope you appreciate them and donate too.
This phone is tricky about the radio/network called baseband (network signal, call, sms, data) and stored into the bootloader. The MM releases may match the carrier who the phone was designed to work for (CSC) and it stop working if used abroad. Strange with Lollipop all was ok.. but to upload Nougat over a LP bootloader is dangerous.. and better avoid trying at all (for me was working but phone went hard bricked/no display after some hours).
Anyway the stock LP 5.0 that was working on my G900P was G900PVPU3BOK4_G900PSPT3BOK4_G900PVPU3BOK4_HOME.tar, but it asks after few min to upgrade to stock marshmellow and if you do.. probably.. bye bye baseband.
PROCEDURE:
Yes you can try to flash directly this RR ROM directly after flashing TWRP, here you are:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix/files/kltespr/
I WOULD RECOMEND THE FOLLOWING: (since I suffer an hard brick flashing RR directly over LP bootloader)
backup everything (you will loose everything! except the content of your SD card). You may export your contacts to SD card and import them later.
Download latest MM stock SPR-G900PVPS3CQD1-20170526135620, find it here: https://samsung-firmware.org/model/SM-G900P/ I used the SPR version
Download the PIT file https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzyeAt2hy6XeTF9hMzJua0J3UlU/view
Download latest TWRP for klte https://eu.dl.twrp.me/klte/
Download tartool https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446269
Download RR and copy zip into your SD card: https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix/files/kltespr/
Download latest Gapps ARM 7.1 and copy the zip into the SD https:/opengapps.org
Be sure you have installed the Samsung drivers, if not seach for them. Odin will not work if the drivers aren't installed. Have a high percent of charge of battery, and charger ready
Open Tartools, copy inside the folder the recovery.img of TWRP then launch the imagetotar bat file, use later the result file .md5 in Odin.
Since your dalvik cache and all other internal storage system folders may contain dirty/uncompatible data for this stock rom (for example you have a custom rom now) you need to clean them before flash the stock.. without that it you can stand at your phone and wait the boot 40 min without nothing happen, avoid it, switch phone in recovery mode (keep pressing volume up+menu key and press power), wipe/delete all data etc.
Now enter phone in download mode switching on phone with volume down + home button.
Open ODIN, put in AP the MM stock (wait until it scans oll the file), then put on PIT the .pit file, on options select Re-partition, F.Reset Time, Auto Reboot
Connect the phone USB and wait Odin recognize the COM, then press start.
Let the phone reastart and wait until it finish all (10-15 min, if you keep seeing log after this time then switch it off, go to recovery and wipe again, then reflash the stock rom), connect and keep phone under charger, check in the end of installation the network signal (have the sim card inside), try to call your number to check baseband works. Avoid putting any data/account, don't let anything update, it's a waste of time. You just need to check signal, you're going to wipe all this installation to install RR later so why lose time here.
Reboot again in download mode.
Close Odin and restart it, be safe and avoid use the same Odin you used before and that still open.. it has pit and repartition flagged.. you can forget forget to uncheck them.
Open Odin, place under AP the TWRP .md5 file and flash it. WARNING: when you press start flashing button be prompt and press already volume up and home key to reboot in recovery, yes press them during it is flashing (Odin will automatically reboot when flash is finished, and this time it will be very fast!)
When in TWRP recovery select wipe, advanced wipe, and wipe all except USB storage and SD card. Go on main menu and chose install, flash the RR, go again on main menu and now flash gapps.
Choose reboot to system, put phone under charger
VoilĂ !

Thanks so much for this. Was having same problem but didn't hesitate to try out your method and it worked!:good:. Really appreciate. Thanks.

I'm most likely going to use this method to update the baseloader so I can get LTE from the latest LineageOS kltespr.
But who knows?
After flashing, I just might like Resurrection Remix.
Thanks for your hard work through trial and error and sharing your methods with us.

Buddy, this methos ensures stability (latest baseband stock available) and avoid unpleasant and (for me) dangerous bricks. It will not present you the base 20 frequencies for LTE. It will work in H+/4G on the standard frequencies 900/1800/2100/etc, but not on ex-TV frequencies 800MHz, it's an hardware limitation.
Anyway.. relax and enjoy it.. you will download fast as well

I have tried this 5 times and each time I can't at the end I can't make phone calls. Is the file "recovery.tar.md5" that the bat file creates and I use to root the phone with? And the only thing different is towards the end when "WARNING: when you press start flashing button be prompt and press already volume up and home key to reboot in recovery, yes press them during it is flashing (Odin will automatically reboot when flash is finished, and this time it will be very fast!)", the phone just reboots and not go into TWRP recovery. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thanks!

Who has the best ICS ROM for At&T Note With Instructions - Donation !

I'm willing to DONATE and PAY for your time - to anyone that can put together a comprehensive set of information to assist me.
I have An At&t Galaxy Note with the 4.03 I717 UCLD3 version loaded on it. I have been toying around with rooting it, and trying to load custom roms, my head is spinning with all the posts.
I'm new, and like many people I have issues when I read the posts on this forum as there is no complete guide to load a new Root, find, and load a new ROM.
When the latest ICS was released a few weeks ago, I went to upgrade and my note will not upgrade with Kies since the counter has been tripped and it has the UCLD3 version on it.
Does anyone have the best ROM to load on the note, or can you explain in clear instructions how to get it back to 100% Stock so I can upgrade with At&t ( I'd rather not this approach, I'd love to get the junky At&t stuff off )
What I'm looking for:
1. A complete guide to root, and load a ROM that has everything the stock phone has, without the At&t bloatware ( IE: 4G, Spen support, compatible with samsung apps, keyboard etc.. )
2. A guide to bring the phone and counter back to 100% stock, so that it can be upgraded by Kies if no one can provide #1 above.
Thanks - I appreciate the help.
1. Get cwm HERE the Odin version.
2.once downloaded right click Odin and run as administrator, then click on the PDA slot and load the .tar you just got
(I'm sorry i don't have s link for Odin, shouldn't be too hard to find)
3 put phone in download mode by powering off, then holding volume down and power, then when prompted volume up.
4.connect to usb that's on a usb port in the back of the pc, no front ports or hubs.
5.when you get a yellow box with a :com: number in Odin hit start.
6a.(optional).no need to root first the Rom is rooted, only reason to root first is if you want to use titanium backup to save your apps and their settings.
For root, you'll need to find the su zip that's floating around and flash that in recovery first.
6b.(also optional)boot into recovery by holding all three buttons, both volume and power, then when you feel a vibrant let go of just the power button, go to backup and restore, abs make a nandroid backup of you're current set up.
7.go here for flappjaxxx latest stock based build.
Put that on your phone someplace you can get to without a bunch of navigating. Internal or external doesn't matter.
8.boot into recovery, go to wipe data/factory reset, then wipe cache.
9.go to install zip for sdcard, now if you put the Rom on external the top option "from sdcard" is what you want. If internal the one on bottom that says "from internal sdcard" navigate to where you saved it, then confirm the flash.
Once done, boot into your new Rom and enjoy,
Not completely complete, but your welcome.
No donation needed, but i won't refund it if you were to feel the need lol
Agreed. I switched to twrp but cwm recovery is more user friendly/common
Pm me if you have any?s
ok 1st u will need to download this Root/CWM/ODIN
you will 1st need to put your phone into downlaod mode: power off phone - HOLD VOL DOWN + POWER, once you get the screen that shows Press VOL UP to get to download Mode, (make sure you have the Samsung USB Drivers installed) plug in USB, you will see the COM port in yellow (it does not matter which port number) then click on PDA and navigate to the cwm-touch-i717-120409.tar.md5 and click on start, you will reboot and you have CWM installed that is used to install roms and other stuff (to get in to CWM when device is powered off HOLD VOL UP + DOWN and press the POWER until u feel the 1st vibrate, once you see the 1st Samsung logo, u can let go), then flash Flash Counter Reset through CWM (this will reset your count in ODIN so it will not void warranty. I then use TWRP Recovery Instead of CWM i like the GUI better, just flash with CWM.
ROMS: no as for roms i love Hybrid roms, which makes it a tablet and Phone, i love Paranoid Android you can download here in either ICS or JB, these are already rooted so no need to do all then.
Instructions on Installing ROMS:
1. once you download the roms, move to External SD
2. make a back up with CWM or TWRP, just click on back up and u r done. on TWRP make sure to click on all boxes.
3. Once backed up u will want to do a factory reset, wipe dalvic Cache (in cwm it is under advanced) and wipe cache partition. (some roms will have different instructions but mainly the same)
4. once you r done flashing the rom. reboot and u r done
To Go back to stock you will go here: STOCK ROMS for i717 just download the one u want and you just flash it through ODIN, but if you have CWM or TWRP there is really no need for #2.
Need some help here...
I flash the cwm using odin but then it restarts the phone right after. Then I turn the phone off and go into recovery and I still see the stock recovery.
What am I doing wrong?
BTW the flash count is also going up each time I do it.

Did i brick it? Stuck in CM10 loop

i just rooted for the 1st time with cwm then i was able to switch it to twrp. then i made a backup, then installed CM10. but i failed badly...i never deleted the 2 caches.
nor did i wipe it / reset it, for fear i would lose all my settings/apps/contacts/etc... i know i have the backup but i still didn't think it was necessary.
can anyone tell me where i go from here?
i tried holding down all 3 buttons, it just vibrates, then reboots and starts the loop again. i went into recovery mode with vol down & power buttons. since i don't have a tar file for twrp, i had to go with the tar file from odin. then it rebooted but it went back to the loop.
i just pulled the battery out and let it sit for a minute. turned it on and it is still CM10 looping.
thanks in advance for any advice!

You can try using odin and flashing the twrp tar file and you can find that here.
or you can use kies to do an emergency firmware update. It will blitz everything on your phone (except your external memory) and reinstall android version 4.1.2. Then you can root properly and know nothing is botched up.
To update to latest firmware (from any rom even rooted)
1. On a PC open http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/
2. Click Download for windows
3. Install Kies
4. Open Kies
5. Write down serial number of phone device (it's under battery)
6. Plug in phone to PC and power up phone while HOLDING volume down
7. Once you see the download screen on phone press volume up
8. On PC in Kies click "tools - Firmware Upgrade and Initialization"
9. Type in SGH-I717 (all caps)
10. Type in serial number
11. Follow directions
12. Once phone reboots you will have the latest OFFICIAL AT&T firmware (JB 4.1.2 as of 6-1-2013)
13. Perform a factory data reset before proceeding (it helps it run smoother)
14. Type in google info and enjoy!
To root the stock 4.1.2 rom
1. Use Odin 1.85 in Admin Mode for Windows users.
2. Install TWRP 2.5 via PDA settings.
3. Reboot phone into Recovery.
4. Install SuperSU via the Zip.
5. Reboot phone and Presto!
Your now on the latest software for the i717, rooted, and have twrp recovery installed. Enjoy or flash any rom of your choice!

I see more than 2 options for downloads in twrp. The one you should be using with odin is this one http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/sgh-i717/openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-quincyatt.img.tar
don't unzip, open, or do anything with it. Just place it in the PDA section of odin and hit start.
If that fails use kies.
that file i cant find on the link, but thanks 440!!! Odin would get stuck at "Setup connection," so it wasn't working. tried it again and it said it did work, "passed," but still no changes from tthe CM10 loop.
i was desperate not to use Kies and lose everything. so i started messing around with different buttons. i pressed and held both volume buttons and power button again...it powered off and nothing. tried it again and this time i saw the teamwin logo!! i was able to then click restore on the Gnote's screen and now it is restoring my twrp back up from yesterday. i guess that last attempt on Odin paid off.
just rebooted it and voila, all is perfect again.
thanks for your quick assistance 440!!! :good::good::good:
so now if i try CM10 again, when i "wipe" it (i think that is the wording) will that wipe all my txt's, call history, photos, contacts, S memo's, etc...???

Before you wipe make sure to do a complete back up, download sms backup or super backup to back up contacts, texts etc... Download app2zip or Titanium to back up your apps.
Here's the process I go through each time. Each time you will lose everything but is safer and have a better chance of not failing:
In TWRP
Factory reset
Wipe System
Wipe cache and dalvik cache
Install your rom and the gapps
Wipe cache and dalvik again
reboot and let the phone sit for about 10mins, then reboot again and all should be good.
Once phone is up and running, if you did app2zip to back up your apps, you have to go back into recovery and flash that zip and install the backups from sms backup or super backup for your contacts, texts etc....
Hope that helped some.

hello,
i have i9100t stock israel rom jb, and its pretty cool but the battery issue. only get few hours with it so i want to know if there is a way to go back to gb/ i know it is old but i only want it coz of the battery. so unless someone has an idea how to fix the consumption to a more reasonable consumption i will want to know if it possible to get back to gb. i heard that cf-root is a cool thing so if u can explain it to me it would be great. can i flash only the cf-root? or do i have to flash a rom on it?
as you can see im pretty new at it
Expect Semi-Offensive Posts
As the title says, several members are mislead by such threads as there are probably thousands of them. I will help you, however, and will potentially receive some extra offense sugar-coated replies as "trying to increase thanks or post meter". First thing, you don't have to root your phone with cf-root, even if you are on stock or custom firmware. Second, you need Odin 1.85 (google it) and extract the files inside the .zip to start flashing. Then, the real part is downloading the Gingerbread firmware for your i9100t (you must search for it). The file is a .tar file which is "flashable" through ODIN. After having all these files (ODIN and GB-ROM.tar), boot into download mode (Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button), run ODIN-1.85.exe and connect your phone to PC. Remember to choose PDA on ODIN and browse to the downloaded GB-ROM.tar file to flash it. Un-tick Auto Reboot and flash the firmware. Once the flashing process is complete, power off your device but don't reboot. Boot into recovery mode (Volume Up + Home Button + Power Button) and select Wipe data/factory reset to delete previous system files as you will get a load of "force close"s if you choose to reboot with no wipe. This should have you back on Gingerbread 2.3.x. Good luck

Can't install ROMS

I'm stuck. I've been trying to install a ROM, any ROM for the past 8 hours. I can install modems, change the bootloader, install everything else but it immediately fails on trying install a ROM. I've run out of options, and I have no idea what to do. I had it rooted on 4.4.2 and everything was fine but as soon as a ROM was attempted, it failed. What do I do? I've been downloading every rom from stock to rooted and odexed to deodexed. It's soft bricked, I can get into recovery and downloader but when in downloader it still won't install a ROM and I get an error saying my rom is corrupted and that's including on the one click installers. Also. when I'm in TWRP I'm able to access the internal storage but it immediately fails but when I'm in CWM it doesn't see the internal storage and I can only install off of the external sd card, but it still fails.Help!

First off dont panic. Just go to sammobile.com and make an account. then search firmware by your phone model and carrier. that will bring up the most current firmware you will need to restore your phone. then download it. then save it in a new folder on your desktop and unzip in folder.
start the program odin, on computer then put your phone into restore most by holding the power, home and down vol button at the same time until it vibrates twice and then you will vol up. go back to odin and click on the tab that says AP and find the firmware that you saved on desktop in the new folder you made then click on the long text which is the firmware file you installed and let the odin program settle for a minute then hit start. the will make your phone like new. dont up plug when you see progress bar start wait for it to Finnish it take a while.

Are you using the correct version of recovery, you need version 2.7 or better with TWRP when flashing 4.4.2 ROMs?
Try using Philz (in my signature)

I777 has broken power button and stuck at white AT&T screen.

Hi everyone!
I finally decided to root my (old) Galaxy S2.
Sadly, just when I turn it on, it's stuck at the white AT&T screen with the AT&T logo in the center. I've tried everything with taking battery out and whatnot.
I also tried recovery mode with the Vol + and - buttons.
I believe the power button is jammed as my phone automatically turns on when the battery is placed in it. Because of this, I can't even use it in recovery mode. I also searched on the forums that many people have issues with the power button not functioning correctly, but for some reason, I can only take apart half the phone-- as in the plastic piece that covers up all the circuitry underneath, half of it stays on, stuck to it.
Could someone please me out here? I'd definitely like to be able to use my S2 as more of an iPod as I'm using an LG G2.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out here!
When inserting the battery turns the phone on, it means that the power button has failed. It needs to be replaced for the phone to be fully useful. It is not the type or repair that can easily and practically be done at home, as it requires some specialized soldering equipment. You can send it out for repair. Mobile Tech Videos in LA will do the repair for $40.00 including return shipping. There is an ebay seller in the Chicago area that will do it for around $32.00 including return shipping. The ebay seller has a youtube video of the repair process which you can watch to see what it takes.
To get the phone going without a power button, proceed as follows:
Use Odin3 v1.85 to install the stock Gingerbread UCKH7 full distribituon from the Download Repository. (This is assuming that the phone is currently running a later version of the operating system, or you don't know which os for sure. You need Gingerbread to be able to complete the next step.)
Next, use Odin3 v1.85 to install the Siyah Gingerbread kernel v2.6.14. Download the tar version to flash in Odin. This kernel contains a touch recovery which will allow you to enter recovery and perform a wipe data/factory reset, so do that next. The phone should now boot into the system.
From the Siyah Gingerbread kernel you can flash the firmware of your choice. Make sure you select a firmware that has a kernel with a touch recovery.
There are apps such as smart screen on that will allow you to turn the display on and off without the power button.
Hope this helps. If you have questions, please ask.
Thanks for the response!
I decided to not replace the lock button circuitry, and just use an alternative app that root will allow.
During this process, will my data be deleted? I have quite a lot of pictures and other texts on it that I'd like to save. I was an idiot for not transferring them out before I got my new device.
Also, I am on 4.2.2 TouchWiz... Should I be weary of anything else on the S2?

Also, I am on 4.2.2 TouchWiz... Should I be weary of anything else on the S2?

I think you must mean 4.1.2 TouchWiz, as that is the latest stock Samsung distribution for the SII. Would that be stock UCMD8, or SHOstock3? What kernel do you have installed? If you have SHOstock3 with the Jebo kernel, that is a touch recovery, and you should be able to enter recovery and perform a wipe data/factory reset to get your phone to boot into the system. The stock kernel of course does not have touch, so it will not be possible in the stock kernel.
You won't lose your pictures. You will lose any text messages if that is what you mean by other texts. Basically, the data partition will be cleared, but the sd card will remain intact. So, anything that you have on the sd card will still be there.
If you install the stock Gingerbread, you will lose everything that is normally in the data partition, all installed applications, text messages, contacts, memos, etc. as they will be overwritten. Performing a wipe data/factory reset also deletes them.

I think my 4.1.2 is stock. I haven't done anything to it.
I have a 2GB Micro-SD card in the S2, but the majority of my pictures are on the phone memory.
I really would like to root my S2 without losing my pictures and whatnot.

You can safely follow my instructions without losing your pictures. Performing a wipe data/factory reset will wipe the data partition, but it will not touch the USB memory, also commonly referred to as the internal sdcard. Below, I will give some additional instructions, in case you need them.

Use Odin3 v1.85 to install the stock Gingerbread UCKH7 full distribituon from the Download Repository. (This is assuming that the phone is currently running a later version of the operating system, or you don't know which os for sure. You need Gingerbread to be able to complete the next step.)

If you are unfamiliar with using Odin, I can post a set of detailed instructions. You can download Odin3 v1.85 from a link in the Download Repository. (see my signature) When you open Odin on the pc desktop, uncheck the Auto Reboot item so that the only two check boxes that will be checked are F. Reset Time, and the one nest to the PDA slot, where you will put the firmware ---.tar.md5 file. After the flash is successful, pull the battery to turn the phone off, then proceed with the next step.

Again, leave Auto Reboot unchecked. After the flash is successful, pull the battery to turn the phone off, then boot into recovery and perform a wipe data/factory reset. Since this is a touch recovery, you can select items and do all the other functions with screen gestures, so you don't need the power button. After you perform the wipe data/factory reset, the phone should boot into system successfully. At this point, it would be a good idea to copy all your pictures onto your PC as a backup so that you don't lose them.
From the Siyah Gingerbread kernel you can flash the firmware of your choice. Make sure you select a firmware that has a kernel with a touch recovery.

At this point, picking a custom firmware that is already rooted, such as SHOstock3 v4.0 and flashing it from within the Siyah CWM recovery would be the easiest and most sensible way to proceed.
Alternatively, if you want stock, you can use Odin to flash the latest stock 4.1.2, I777UCMD8 which you can download from the download repository, and then root the phone with Framaroot using the Aragorn exploit.

Yes, I would like a detailed instruction on using Odin.
Do I turn the S2 on just by keeping the battery in, then connecting to my PC?
Also, where do I get this tar.md5 file?
Update: Phone finally passed the white AT&T logo screen. Phone is really laggy and seems to have reset my logins and whatnot...

Go to the Download Repository. At near the top of the page, you can find a link to download Odin3 v1.85. Download that to your PC. Then, download "I777UCKH7-REV02-home-low-CL503881.tar.md5.7z" from the section titled I777UCKH7-CL503881 Stock Binaries. I think it the fifth section down from the top. Use an archiving program to extract the ...tar.md5 file from the archive. This is the first file you will use to flash in the PDA slot in step 7. There is a link to the kernel that you will need to flash second in my previous post. In this set of instructions, you start with the phone off. You should be able to pull the battery and put it back in without the phone turning on again. If you have any other questions, just ask.
How to use stand-alone Odin3 to flash firmware:
Follow and recheck each of the following steps. Do them in order listed, as some steps are dependent on previous steps. Instructions are for Odin3 v1.85. It should work with any version of Odin, but some details, like color of items, may be different.
1.) Open Odin on the Windows Desktop.
2.) Have the USB cable plugged into USB port on the computer, but *Not* plugged in to the phone.
3.) Shut the phone off.
4.) While holding down the vol+ & vol- keys, plug micro-usb plug into phone.
5.) In Odin, you should get the yellow box under where it says ID:COM with the text 0:[COMx], and in the Message area, <ID:0/00x> Added!! where x is some number, usually 1-8.
6.) In Odin, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked and all other items are not checked.
7.) Click on the PDA button. Browse to the tar file you want to install and select it so its path appears in the text edit box next to the button.
8.) Make sure the check box next to the PDA button is checked.
9.) Click the Start button.
10.) You should see the green progress bar advancing.
11.) When complete, you will get a PASS (or FAIL if unsuccessful).
