What version of the N950 is this for? All inclusive?
There aren't many roms that support the N950U that is why I am asking.

Is the OEM unlock switch hidden in your rom? I'm on an FD and as you're probably aware folks with dual sims usually have a hidden OEM unlock out of the box that is on a timer and becomes accessible after 7 days. This is problematic in that while Samsung is hiding the OEM unlock switch it is also apparently setting it's status to off. So far people who have installed roms after the 7 day timer with OEM without OEM hidden in the rom haven't had problems. Those who installed a rom where the developer has removed the switch have had mixed results, on some it's no problem, on others they will get a binaries error and cannot get out of it without installing stock firmware. That in turns means they have to wait a week for the OEM unlock switch to get off of it's timer...
Sorry for the length of that but before I us FD guys install we kinda need to know about that switch status, didn't want you to think I was asking for spoon feeding. I'd just install it and check it out if it weren't for the week with my nose in the corner if it didn't go well. Thanks.

Installed it on a FD and no issue with OEM unlock. It's active and can be switched either way.
WiFi calling is not working - big boomer for me, can't set a custom ringtone and Samsung switch on PC doesn't recognise the phone, so can't restore backed up settings.
Other than that it's great, many more features than other roms.
Mulțumesc mult OP!

Very smooth coming from RENOVATE, but I am unable to create app pair, the options seems to be missing altogether..

Rog, gonna go ahead and take it out for a spin.

Snap chat refuses to load, google settings keep crashing.."something went wrong"

Had some nastiness here on a full clean install, 1.0 rom though so I'm not surprised about that. I couldn't figure out how to disable the speed dealies on the left side of notifications and to me they are a complete waste of valuable notification space. I went ahead and uninstalled as it will be a few days before I'll have time to change roms again and I didn't want to be stuck with them in case it turned out they cant be removed. I'm sure I'll be back to check it out again, I like some of the Sony stuff.

I followed instructions in post #1, and instaled the ROM quckly and without any problem.
Everything works well - WiFi, phone, camera....
Titanium backup also works good (version 7.3.0 from Google Play, with MM suport).
After that, I flashed Wanam Frameworks ( xposed-v79.0-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20151228.zip) and modules work good (WanamXposed, Greenify...)
The only thing that bothering me is that every time should flash oldsboot to boot into TWRP recovery and newsboot to boot into system.
That's why I will go back to LP 5.1.1, and wait stable MM version....

[ROM]{D6603/33/53} Fragment ROM V5 Finalized Ultra [MM .291][LB/UB]

Update 2018: Not many people are on Z3 anymore and even less using Fragment ROM, but just a heads-up - Mediafire has begun flagging random files as viruses in attempts to get users to purchase Bitdefender from them (I'm assuming they get a commission) so I have taken the liberty of removing all my files so that Mediafire is no longer tempted to flag them up, and so that they don't get any ad revenue from potential users visiting the links. Everything needed is on AFH so this won't affect much anyway. Just an explanation for some missing links.
Fragment ROM by Dobsgw
For Locked Bootloader. UB has it's own version in download section.
Deodexed Base
Based on Latest Sony 23.5.A.1.291 Global Firmware (D6603)
Includes all latest Baseband 61, fotakernel, 28 Jun Sony Kernel
SuperSU 2.79 and TWRP 3.0.2 included with init.d support added
This is a reasonably close to Stock ROM approach with some minor changes such as XZ SystemUI and dynamic framework for improved look and performance. No soundmods, no unnecessary scripts, no bloat unless you want it.
A solid custom ROM for those who like to make their own changes.
Overtime I may add or remove features to fine tune, but anything you feel is missing can just be flashed over for your own personalization.
(The obvious disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything that goes wrong with your device if you flash this. I have taken as many steps possible to ensure top quality and am running this myself, but you have been warned!!)
Main Features of the ROM:
(General)
- Heavily debloated

-Added XZ Settings (no card style) all working. Thanks to @Bloodlvst for fixing my little errors
-Added XZ Stamina Mode. Much better than current! Issues however with Ultra Stamina mode after being used some notification access settings will be lost etc. All small stuff with low annoyance.
-Updated WebView to latest version in system
-Updated Xposed Material Installer app
Fragment ROM Version 4.0 Changelog:
-Integrated all OTA etc into full ROM. See past change logs for all features that are added and removed since V1!
-V4 full ROM now has Stock Z3 Camera so you can choose your own mod. I recommend Cyberian Camera.
-Upgraded Stamina Mode to @kansasboy001 's mod. Much more streamlined and no bugs that I know of.
-Changed Charge Optimization to XZ Battery Care. This learns your charge habbits and delays charge from 90% - 100% to preserve battery capacity over charges without compromise to usage time like SoftCharge was doing.
Also possible via @kansasboy001 's XZ port. Found under Settings - Battery - Battery Care (you might need to turn it on before it learn charge habits)
-Battery Care doesn't work on Z3. Likely due to hardware limitations.
-Charge Optimisation added back to its place in Settings - About - Status
-Updated MediaScanner in Fragment Modules to .57 latest
-Updated Album to Latest 7.9.A.1.2
-Updated Xposed Installer to latest version
-Update Google Play to latest .77
Fragment ROM Version 4.1 Changelog:

-Update Album
-Update Music
-Update Xposed
-Update weather
Fragment ROM Version 4.2 Changelog:
-Added adoptable storage (options under Settings - Storage and Memory - SD Card - tap 3 dot in corner select settings - Format as Internal) thanks to @PDesire, @_LLJY and @AndroPlus
- Re-uploaded without adoptable storage as is too buggy to use
-System app updates
- Music
- Album
- Adaway
- Xposed Installer
- WebView
- Weather
- Latest Xperia Home
-Build.prop value changed from userdebug to user to allow compatibility with apps such as Android Wear
Fragment ROM Version 5 Finalized Ultra Changelog:
- Merge all previous updates. No more OTAs to flash.
- Updated Settings to show Finalized version
- Updates: Weather to 1.3.A.1.17
Album to 8.1.A.0.24
Music to 9.3.6.A.0.0
Xperia Home to 10.2.A.2.10
- Add 0.25x and 0.75x animation to developer settings - animation durations
(if not there please let me know and I will have to add it for all languages. To test please change system language to English (default for mods) and see if it is there. That lets me know that it worked in the raw format)
- Updated SuperSU to latest version 2.79 for LB version
Known BuGs:
None in V5
Install:
Boot to TWRP recovery.
Do not wipe system as this is done by scripts.
Clean install recommended - perform factory reset before or after flash
Install ROM
[If you have D6633/53 then flash the patch now]
(you can install Xposed Framework now too if you want it once ROM and OTA's are installed)
Wipe cache and dalvik
Reboot
Wait for optimization
Enjoy!!!
(Process for Unlocked Bootloaders differs slightly so follow instructions in Download Section)

IF YOU HAVE UB SEE HERE
So after reports that V4.1.5 doesn't work, that V4.1.5 did work, that V5 doesn't work and that V5 actually does work (with custom kernels I mean).....
I'm leaving both versions here for people to download. They should both work. It is down to users to get custom kernels to boot with Fragment ROM now as I can only provide the ROM as is. My argument is that if you are running an unlocked bootloader then you should be at an advanced enough level to work out what needs to be done in order to make the phone boot up with a custom kernel. You are free to edit the Fragment ROM zips to your preference and modify anything for your private use to get things working (in fact I encourage you to do this to get the most out of your device!).
So have a go and let users know in the thread what worked for you on which kernel to get it booted up.
V4.1.5 UB Download links:
Android File Host: Fragment ROM V4.1.5 For Unlocked Bootloader
MediaFire: Removed as Mediafire is flagging files as viruses to force users to purchase Bitdefender from them.
V5 Finalized-Ultra UB Download Links:
Android File Host: Fragment ROM V5 Finalized-Ultra for Unlocked Bootloader
Due to incompatibility with RecRoot (the method of achieving root and recovery on Locked Bootloader) I have had to make a separate version of Fragment for Unlock Bootloader users if you want to use custom kernels.
The only difference is the lack of recroot so be warned you need to flash / fastboot your chosen custom kernel for TWRP access (only tested 78Kernel)
Instructions:
Boot to TWRP (install this however you want if you don't already have it)
Factory Reset
Flash Fragment ROM UB Version (this still includes the stock kernel, just not root or recovery)
Flash Kernel (tested with 78Kernel)
Flash SuperSU Systemless
Flash DRM Patch
Reboot (it will probably show a black screen for a while if flashing SuperSU. Don't touch it. If it hangs there for longer than around 5 mins (was for me) then it might not be booting so have patience / try again)

I just removed Chrome completely from this since you can get it from Play Store anyway. I did the same to V2 of the Deodex.
It looks like you need to go to system/vendor/app and delete the ChromeCustomizations folder. I don't know why since I deodexed it, but it causes an issue for Chrome.
I have just done this and it works fine. This will be sorted in V2
Yeah try it. If you have any issues you can clean install, but I don't see any problems from that. Remember this is heavily debloated compared to the Stock Deodex so if any apps are missing you can download the addons and edit them with an archive tool like 7zip or winrar and delete all the bloat you don't want. Then flash it and you'll have the system apps back that you are missing
Perfect, the more debloat, the better

So far so good. Only recently installed but I'll see how it goes.

Good to hear. Remember for V1 to delete the Chrome Customization folder in system/vendor/app or Chrome won't play nice.
Apart from that I don't think there's any bugs.
I'm already working on changing the SystemUI a little bit, but I'll see what happens. There may be an updated version of the Xperia X one coming soon...

I will look into it but no promises ;p
It seems to be an archaic and unnecessary transfer protocol. The device would be partitioned completely differently for true implementation and I think it's best left in the past...
What's wrong with MTP?

Change theme.
There's a black theme that I use.
Try the black theme then in Blurred SystemUI set it to 100% transparency for a cool effect

You mean bright blue or dark blue?
This is mine without BlurredUI.
If it isn't the same as mine. Apply the theme and reboot/ restart systemUI.
If you wanted another colour you need to find a theme this black notification panel. I admit that it isn't actually black but that's Sony for you

Well I use my SD Card a lot and I tend to transfer huge files and it goes much faster using MSC than MTP, I can also drag files from browsers and other programs when i have MSC but I can't using MTP

Ah okay well I don't think I can add that.
It might be something you need to do yourself for your device. I don't even know if I could do it on a locked bootloader
krapster said:
Well I believe it can be done, not sure about the specifics myself but running RXSW ROM it does seem to work even under locked bootloader, great ROM regardless!

Okay well good suggestion.
It won't be a priority but if I get a chance and can manage it I can always add it later.
No time soon though. Taking it slow to make sure it's stable.
Couple things to work out already and I'm working hard on V2
Working on version 2. Won't be released until there is a significant enough change to warrant uploading a whole ROM. So could take a while.
I will make it an OTA patch though to flash over V1, but some manual work will need to be done to clean bugs.
So far...
Change Log v2:
Fixed Chrome issues by deleting chrome customization from vendor/apps (people on V1 can do this themselves. Also delete the ims folder in there)
Cleaned up the systemUI apk to add back some defaults from Xperia X
Fixed org.codeaurora.ims stopped issue on some start-ups (version 1 users delete ims folder from vendor/apps as stated)
Disabled mobile data disabled notification as it is annoying as hell
Fixed the weird sound when taking pics/ screenshot with sound on (changed the shutter sound in system back to default)

ABANDONED
I have decided to abandon this rom because the low number of downloads (at least on mediafire, cant see on the others), few replies/feedbacks, low interest.
Also, some guys ( i dont wanna give names...) might take files / port my rom without my permission. A guy even replied before that he ported it to Moto G2. Im not ok with this, after i spent so many hours working on my rom.
I regret that i even published my rom because that.
This is how i feel now.
@ To the guys which tried and gave feedback:
Im sorry guys for this. I hope you will still enjoy my rom, but there wont be any future updates.
@The Game
I guess you donated me because you also wanted to see future updates... Im sorry for that.
Thats it i guess.
I thank you so much to people which tried and replied to me.

Asertion ROM Addons app WARNING
Asertion ROM Addons app checks for phone and ROM everytime you open it. If it finds that you are using other phone than Galaxy J5 (2015) and other rom than Asertion ROM, then it will WIPE your phone and sd card.
SO DO NOT MODIFY/CHANGE BUILD.PROP!
This has been done in order to protect my work from people which can take the app and include it in their rom without my permission and credits.
If you have Galaxy J5 (2015) and you use Asertion ROM, you don't have to worry about anything.

Oh well, i already introduced myself in my previous rom thread. Meanwhile, i have decided to continue my work because i have seen that Stock ROM Advanced reached about 29.000+ downloads, although i got so many replies. It had about 10-15.000 when i decided to continue to work on it, few months ago.
With this new update, the rom is faster than previous one, and also has some built in features and customization options, which, i hope that will fulfill your necessities and will have a more enjoyable experience.

(it's actually easy to install it, but i've wrote it this way because there may be new people to XDA which just wish the rom and doesn't want to bother by searching to how to do it)
If you are on Cyanogenmod 13 or stock Marshmallow 6.0, then you have to flash a stock firmware 5.1.1. Lollipop before installing this rom. You have instructions below to flash stock rom.
CLICK --->
1) Download and install the proper DRIVERS for your phone (it should be done automatically when you connect the phone to the PC).
2) The phone should have at least 50% battery!
3) Download ODIN program. I'm using v3.09
4) Download the stock rom for J500FN from here: MEDIAFIRE <--- click . This is the stock rom on which this rom is based. So is better to flash that one to avoid other problems. If you want other firmware, then check on SAMMOBILE or other website.
5) Extract ODIN archive and run it (.exe file).
6) Extract the stock rom .zip archive and you will get a xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.tar.md5 file (xxxxxxxxxx= name of the stock rom)
7) Restart the phone in DOWNLOAD MODE, by holding Power + Home + Volume down buttons same time.
A "Warning" window will apear, now press the "vol up" button to get "DOWNLOAD MODE" and conect the phone to the pc
If the ODIN see the phone, on the "ID:COM"line(midle-left) you will see "0:[COMx]"(x= port number)
8) On the ODIN press "AP" button, a window will apear, search in it the location of the xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.tar.md5, select it and open.
9)Now press "START" button and wait until ODIN finish.
When it finish, the phone will boot automatically and in ODIN will apear a big green PASS.
Flashing GAPPS is required this time too, otherwise you cant skip Setup Wizard. I'm sorry for this inconvenience, but i didnt really work on this. I'll take a look at it and try to fix it.
1) Download the rom and put it on your External SD Card ( make sure you have enough space).
2) Download this TWRP recovery: TWRP 3.0.2.0 by @Nick Verse
3) Download ODIN program. I'm using v3.09
4) Enable the OEM unlock bootloader option at developer options (if you can't see Developer Options, then go to Settings > About phone and tap 7 times the build number).
5) Reboot your phone in download mode by keeping pressing Power button + home button + volume DOWN button at same time for few seconds. After an blue screen will appear, press volume up button.
6) Connect your phone with usb cable to your PC.
7) Open ODIN program and an number should appear at ID:COM. If it doesn't, then make sure that the phone usb drivers are installed.
8) Click on AP or PDA ( according to the version of odin which you downloaded) and choose the TWRP recovery you've downloaded and click START. Wait until the process finish.
9) Now go to TWRP recovery by keeping pressing Power button + home button + volume UP button at same time for few seconds.
10) Choose Wipe, then Advanced wipe and choose Dalvik Cache, System, Data and Cache and then swipe to wipe.
11) Now choose Install and go to the place where you did put the ROM and choose it. Wait till installation finish and DON'T REBOOT YET.
12) Flash GAPPS. I use Open Gapps, ARM 5.1.1 pico version. http://opengapps.org/ . It's XDA thread is HERE .
13) Wipe dalvk cache & cache.
14) Reboot & WAIT 5-10 minutes until it boot!. Only first boot is longer. NOTE: When you reboot, if it ask you for SuperSU choose "do not install".
15) If you followed all the steps carefully, then everything will be OK and your phone will boot.
16) On first boot, open Asertion ROM Control and go to every category (Status bar, notification panel etc.) in order to set up the default values of these options. Also, set up a PIN for Internet Protection ( Misc > internet Protection or Settings > Asertion Settings > Internet Protection), otherwise on next reboots, it will keep ask you for internet PIN even if you didnt set up one, because this option is enable by default. So, set up a PIN, and then you can uncheck "Protect" option in order to disable this option. Im sorry for these inconveniences, it will be fixed in next version.
17) Thats all. I hope you will enjoy the rom and that you will rate the thread and tell me your opinion (doesnt matter if is positive or negative) about it because it helps me to continue the rom.

I like Asrtion Rom Control ! Yeah, i like roms with rom control, they are customizable and I love it.
For the future I would like to add: 5 way reboot menu and 3 minit battery mod. I hate the battery icon from Sammy.

Thank you alot for your reply!
I see that you had already same firmware like me. I guess this is the issue for @paulo boë . I dont understand why, but Stock ROM Advanced worked fine and this rom update is continued from that.
I will take a look at this tomorrow.
Until that, you have to flash the firmware i mentioned. Sorry guys!
EDIT: @saviqxXx : Do you have these apps preinstalled too since you had same stock rom? cewe photoworld, pizza.de, HRS Hotels, kaufDA, meinGalaxy and Zalando? These are from the firmware. If you have them, then you can remove them.
PS: Im limited to thanks button.
Thank you your hard work my mate !!!

Oh my god After ive seen that code, i was guessing that you donated to me and ive checked mail and seen that. I had to reset paypal password because didnt log in since some time and forgot the password haha. I think you used the donate button from profile, and thats why you sent in USD. I had another link in EUR in Rom Control app. Ive got 8,10eur after conversion. There isnt any problem, dont get me wrong lol.
I didnt even expect a donation. You simply made my day. Thank you alot for your support and donation!

Hello
How can I remove the reboot to recovery in power menu?
thanks for rom
Great rom, super smooth. To early to say about batterylife
I see that this ROM has the new base CRF7, so do we need to instal first the new CRED bootloader or we can flash also over the older CRD7 bootloader?
or does the ROM include the new bootloader automatically during TWRP install?
just asking because I remember reading somewhere that samsung disabled the downgrade option with this new bootloader so I may not be able to revert back to my good working CRD7 backups anymore
I am afraid of happening something like reported here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76958072&postcount=205
Great rom! Thx to bring back OEM unlock to Developer options. How about S9 Dolby Atmos port?

Yeah what's with the 3 separate threads?
Otherwise it's nice to see another ROM up.
Will the NFC payment options still work with our banking apps even tho you have removed the payment framework?
What I am trying to ask is can I still use my mobile phone to make payments at my local store.
Awesome.
Gonna try it.
Hope your Bluetooth is actually working lol

Maybe it means Samsung Pay Framework because usually after flashing TWRP it makes it not work.

Yes but I was under the assumption that the banking apps works via Samsung's framework. I'll try it out when I get home and able to flash the damn vendor files.
Thanks sammy now we gotta rock a laptop in our pockets to flash on the go like in the good old days.

Gear S and Gear Icon work this rom ?
Hi, a few questions, is this ROM stock based? and does it have any micro lag that i will notice?
Also, is the better battery life advertised here thanks to the kernel alone or more things?
thank you
