Do I have a X829 or X821 - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

I bought a X821 and on the back of my phone is x821 printed, but after installing Lineageos the model in "About Phone" is LEX829. Now I'm wondering if my phone really is X821. Since the X829 doesn't support band 20. I want to know sure that I can use band 20.

X821

If you bought it as an Indian LeEco Le Max 2, it's an x821. The model number is written on a system file, which gets overwritten by every ROM you flash. In fact, if you flash a stock ROM intended for the Chinese version (x820, which is 100% the same as x821, except for the included apps and the data encryption) your model number changes to x820. Just don't worry, you have the correct model.

I got the same. Installed CM14.1 results in X829 --> additonal flashed Indian Modem -> X820 aka X821
If you phone tells you X829 you will not have LTE Band 20 ( via software )

Mate10 pro after rebrand from BLA-L29 to BLA-AL00 didn't support China telecom

Orignially version is BLA-L29 i rebrand to Chinese version BLA-AL00, after that can not use China telecom make call.
other feature no problem also can upgrade. only not support China telecom.
I have no idea, but as far as I know the hardware specification is different, at least the LTE bands. I have no idea about the CDMA part. However, I think it may be a bad idea to rebrand the device to another variant.
Maybe you should try to rebrand to TL version of software, as I know there is two version in china AL-00 and TL-00, TL is for use on Telecom. Maybe this solves your problem.
me too , have you solve this problem?

I believe this to be the case too.
When I asked a Chinese vendor prior to purchasing my 'phone what the differences were between AL00 and TL00, his answer was "AL00 = China Unicom, TL00 = China Mobile & China Telecom."

Does BLA-L29 with original system support China telecom, all 2G/3G/LTE?
The BLA-L29 rebranding to China version OS doesn't support China telecom for sure.

Can the Snapdragon S9+ (G9650) be used for VoLTE in the Netherlands?

I recently moved to the Netherlands and got a contract with Tele2, a 4G provider that offers VoLTE. However, my Latin American, Snapdragon-based S9+ (SM-G9650) didn't show the VoLTE option under Settings -> Connections -> Mobile Networks. That was with a ROM from Panama. In the meantime, my wife's S8 (SM-G950F) did show it.
I tried installing a G9650 ROM from Colombia since they have a mobile provider with VoLTE, but nothing changed. I then tried a Hong Kong ROM (where pretty much *all* providers offer VoLTE), and the button appeared in the notifications area. However, when I try to enable it I get "VoLTE is not supported by your current software version".
Any suggestions? Thanks
VoLTE is really a country specific feature. Hong Kong version won’t support China’s Volte, though China Mobile operates both in Hong Kong and mainland China

Ouch... Unfortunately the SM-G9650 isn't even sold by European carriers. Any ideas?
Thanks
If you're going to live on the Netherlands sell it and buy the European version or stick with the SD without VoLTE.

Is there no ROM I can install on my Snapdragon S9+ that will allow me to use VoLTE in the Netherlands? I see no reason for the phone to be incompatible if it supports all the bands, etc.
Thanks

Active CSC Code: TPA
CSC Country: Panama / PA
Mobile Operator: Tele2 NL / 20402
Remove your SIM Card, do a Hard Reset, boot the device, insert your SIM Card then it should factory reset again and start with another CSC.

It's supposed that it'll do.
Did this work for anyone? (Remove the sim, insert etc) I'm aiming to get VoLTE on tmobile and need to change the CSC code as well.

That wont work, the CSC is embedded into the firmware for that specific region. Unless you change the firmware to the region you're in you're out of luck. In some cases the CSC is also carrier specific even in the same region.

Different model versions

I am looking for a Honor 20 Pro version that fully supports all bands used in Europe, particularly in Switzerland.
According to www.frequencycheck.com, I need the model YAL-L41 to support all 3 LTE-bands used here.
The local online-shops use model number 51093VET.
Whats the difference/relation between the different model-numbers, p.ex. YAL-L41 und 51093VET?
How to be shure that I get the correct device that supports all locally used LTE bands?
Additional infos:

4G band firmware or hardware?

Hi
bought a p20 lite LX3 in USA, which it's not prepared for 4G bands here in Spain as per link and image information
https://www.kimovil.com/es/frequency-checker/ES/huawei-p20-lite
Does anybody know that if I apply a stock custom rom from LX1 model the 4G bands will work? or it's an issue that it's non solvable through firmware?
Thanks in advance

dont know if using stock custom rom will help, but, with my old p9 , wen i instaled android 8 china version, phone didnt connect to operator, only when i patched it with europe network patch, all bands worked as needed for me, but ofcorse, its european phone with china software, so i guess it is software related not hardware!

Question Help:S918B/DS can't use 5G

I have a S23U(S918B/DS) in China, but there is only 4G can be used. Flashing a third party SoulRom based on Mainland China version can use 5G, but I don't want to root my phone. Can I just Odin flash the Chinese version baseband instead of the whole firmware? The 5G Specs of 918B covers all the 5G bands in China, is there any service code to unlock the SA/NSA mode or more 5G bands in hidden menu?( I've tried S918U service code but it doesn't work for S918B)
Many thanks!
Have you tried the samfw tool method?
Does trying to dial below do anything?

Then check the band csc changing thread. You may need to flash the US firmware, then enable secret codes then enable all bands. You might then be able to flash back, if you want, and all the bands may remain open.
5g overrated anyways. Lte is better.

Did you have any luck with this? I travel between China and the US a lot, and I am wondering if I can get 5G in both countries with the S918B/DS on Verizon & China Mobile.
