LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

does the sd card storage work? That's why I haven't test driven any of the Oreo betas just yet. I use APPS2SD extensively and store Netflix offline downloads and offline Spotify playlists on the SD card and no SD card recognition is a deal breaker.

Sd working?

Changelog ?

Hi,
I tried the last build of the ROM. The ROM it's nice, works well and it's almost smooth BUT there are continusly glitch in the navbar and in the statusbar. Also landscape mode cut half of the screen, resulting in an unusable mode.
I didn't check about microSD working, but the rest was fine.
Greets.

This is a great beta build of Oreo for the Surnia. Thanks Devs for your hard work & contributions for the die-hard Moto E LTE 2015.

Wi-Fi doesn't work on 8.1 build

Is this built off of Android Go? I think it'd be wise to try for our low end phone. Even the moto G 2015 has a build of it.

In the last beta during a call the display does not switch off even though the sensor works well

You can convert any Oreo ROM to Android Go using the patch below.

new build
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1evYVCUOhVZkQc_1_F0fhujAVRQGn_VAQ

Its official now

I have installed the latest version, however I am facing a major issue.
I have set a pattern password, the phone crashed, now when the phone started, it asks to enter my pattern, however system ui crashes and i revert back to the lockscreen - i cannot enter my phone.
Clean wipe - Reset phone, tried setting a pin password - same issue
Finally 4G reception keeps cutting off - works fine in 3G Mode

Can u build this rom for OTUS also??

The 4G reception no longer cuts off, however trying to enable a pin / password / pattern still crashes system UI and results in having to wipe the phone to gain access again.

Hi,
Is there a way to edit Header element shortcuts I mean to disable the quick setting shortcut, QS tile edit icon?

Is there anybody with a abnormaly high battery drainage with last build (4.1)?
Clean flashed 2 days ago, recalibrated battery.
100 to 84% in 7 hours of standby.
With prior rom (LineageOS 14.1), normal battery consumption.
The rest works well.

I installed and my phone did not boot. I installed only the ROM, magisk would install after the first boot
I just installed the ROM, gapps and magisk and everything worked fine thanks for the help
Never imagined that g4 play being 32 bit will ever go beyond android 9.
Thanks to developers, even some capable devices have yet to get Android 11 Lineage and harpia have got first build.
Here is the gapps link, in case anyone wants:
https://bitgapps.cf/arm/R/
The ROM works well, ofc would get better and better over time! Thanks a lot devs, never imagined A11 on Harpia!
Damn.
Wow... I never thought there was an Android 11 in the G4 Play .
I will try to flash it when it is 100% stable, thanks for making this possible!.
Great OS!!! Just updated my MOTOG4 to Android11. Thanks for making this possible.
I have updated my device to MalluOS without Gapps. And, I noticed that, Browser is not supported. I did a work around and managed to install a browser. Support for basic browser as part of OS would be an added advantage AOSP fans.
wifi dont work in my device
Loving the rom so far... the only thing I've found that isn't working for me is I cannot get Signal to scan a barcode to link my desktop Signal app w the one on my phone. Any ideas on what to try would be appreciated as I have checked permissions etc and everything looks like it should just work. The camera focuses on the barcode but does not do the scanning bit - there's no coloured squares appearing nor any of the normal QR-code scanning things happening
Big thanks for this rom tho <3
With every new ROM that comes out for the G4 Play, the more I hate Verizon for forcing me to ditch it. This really is the phone that never dies. Fantastic work getting 11 on this thing
Many thanks for this. Installed well and fine so far. But my version XT1604 has nfc which is important to me for contactless payments (GPay). This is not detected I fear. The stock ROM did support - is it possible to include support please - then I would definitely switch to this. Thanks

Thanks for testing
1) Send logs
2) I will see what I can do
3) Save photos to microSD feature has been removed since it's bugged
4) Double tap to wake isn't supported on stock, I won't support it either
Hi, ROM X00I working perfectly in my ZC554KL, only not working Fingerprint/Home, back buttons (hardware soft keys) and enabled the screen soft keys buttons. Thanks!!!
Hi, is a dirty flash update possible from the previous LineageOS 17.1 ROM?
Hi, sorry, my brother's phone (ZC554KL) has a problem with its camera that sometimes goes dark, I think it may be a SW problem since other times it works properly. I'm pretty new to custom roms and I was wondering if installing this rom would solve the camera problem, what do you think?
After 4 months of using LineageOS 17.1, I decided to upgrade to a novelty. Unfortunately, nothing happened! I tried to directly update from 17.1-20200831 to 18.0-20201209 - everything seemed to work out, but after starting and 5 minutes of loading the system, the phone rebooted into TWRP ... Now when I try to boot the system, it automatically loads TWRP ... It turns out that there is no system? I tried to flash 17.1-20201201 and 17.1-20200831 back - nothing helps! TWRP kind of says everything is OK, but the system is not loaded, instead only TWRP ... What to do now? Otkatyvatsya back at 9 beta? X00H

As a result, I had to go back to the stock firmware and again stitch it under 17.1 ... I'll probably wait until 18.0 stabilizes and you make a fingerprint, then I'll try again ...
Mobile data not working. Any solutions?
Hi Seba,
I just install LOS18, the data mobile and fingerprint wont work for me.
X00HD (France)
hardware key (back . home . recent) no work . you must go setting to enable soft key for have that keys on bottom screen.
RIL some times reset that during battery for stable signal.
and fingerprint (update to pie firmware to back normal or work after update to CM 18).
thanks boy for all
your job is perfect
please attach some screen shots on Reserved post from x00i and x00h (camera . camera settings . massages app . status bar . home .app draw . recent menu . setting menu . abut menu)and don't forget write change log
Edit: I encountered a problem, my device with this rom now says "decryption unsuccessful" (see attached photo)
My Device: X00HD
Problems:
System UI crash when unlocking phone during bootup
Stock camera is so dark compared OpenCamera
Double tap to wake is enabled but not working (I HATE DT2W so its fine...)
Working:
- Fingerprint
- ? (I will edit this if I find other problems)
Things would be nice to have:
- NTFS, exFAT, ext4 otg support
only FAT32 works, it's fine, but has limitations (4gb+ single files)
ext4 is also not readable
Stock Asus ROM works with NTFS, but I'm not sure about exfat and ext4
Please update links
I have X00HD-Vietnam but i cant use fingerfrint!!!
Just that, almost good, Thanks ad!!!

Hello, whats up?! I would report that I've been installing this version and I liked a lot! But happened a bug in my system! I couldn't use my mobile data! I've been testing my two chips including my hardware, but the problem was existing in the software, in case, in the Rom. So, I coundt get a comunication between the signal of network from tower points of signal. Everything was working well, less it. When possible, work to resolve this! I love your Rom's projects and hope for this resolution too! <3
My cellphone is a Zenfone Asus 4 Max (ZC520KL), in this case the X00H

Hei brother, what's up?! Can you see a text written: "Phone Locked"? When it happen it mean that you need to get Root Acess to your phone. Without this you will not can install a root. Remember: Change bootloader is possible without root, so, maybe you have no acess root.

On my device (XT 1602) I do not face any lag in UI. will you fix the other problems like mobile data? Great work BTW.
Just curious, where are you getting the vendor blobs to build this? I'm trying to build from the source, but when I try to build, I get:
Code:

my god I can't believe that today 02/17/2022 my harpia is running android 12 (S) I swear to God that today I was looking at the forum and I found this I was speechless just today I had done a review of Lineage OS (11) sincerely, you deserve a lot of recognition for continuing to do this and continue to maintain a cell phone that is years old, it is my daily phone now that I found out about this, I did not sit idly by and flash it, I congratulate you, it is a rom very stable and fast, I want to comment on something and it is that with android 11 it took me 2 minutes to start the launcher, here it only takes me 17-18 seconds to start the system I can tell you that this system can become the most stable and quickly for this mobile I will continue waiting for more updates of this version of android and thank you very much for allowing me to continue using my cell phone I have had the opportunity to obtain high-end cell phones but I love my harpia and as a friend told me If something works well for you, don't change it for anything. thankful to all the maintainers who work hard to get updates out.
I want to say that I have only had a small mistake and it is that when I lower the notification bar the cell phone becomes very slow and it takes a few seconds to lower it, I hope they correct the rest, it is perfectly fine, thank you very much! for everything soon a review for this rom so that more people see and appreciate your work.
Booting and installing the image works like a charm and pretty easy.
I tried different GApps but none of them did install. They fail with
Code:
“! Unable to find installation layout. Aboriting...” ?
as shown
in FAQ Point 25 for BiTGApps https://github-wiki-see.page/m/BiTGApps/BiTGApps/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions-(FAQ)
w/a does not work. I tried arm (not arm64).
Tested one arm64 NikGApps, this one did install but as expected did not show up.
Can anyone recommend gapps for arm and LOS 19.0?
Thanks
Christian

I used BiTGapps but not with Lineage recovery. I was able to install with the latest version of TWRP.

:+1 That's it.
Now my nearly oldest HW runs the newest Android Version.
So far no lag at all, it feels really fast
Camera does work, but inside Apps like QRCOde scanner nothing is shown so far.

I was very happy to see that someone made android 12 run on harpia, great job by the way.
I had the problems of ui lag and mobile data but nothing that bothers me, I hope you bring more updates
Will it come officially one day?

is monet already working in this version?
I just installed this ROM twice on my harpy, first impression I found quite fluid even for this model. Then when lowering the notification bar the system would slow down too slow and bug, then give interface error dai or the screen would go dark and erase, after that it gave bootloop. Despite this it seems to be a good ROM hopefully improve this so I can use. Monet's not working.

Hello dear @althafvly. First of all, thank you very much for this awesome ROM based on Android 12L (LineageOS 19.1).
It's very stable, fast and battery-friendly. Please dear friend, continue improving this ROM. I really hope the Encryption, SELinux enforcing and UI Lag can be fixed.
One week ago, I had AICP ROM (Android 11) ( @jeferson1979 ), and It is a very stable ROM, but it has two big problems: It's kinda slow and everytime I try to install an weekly update, the whole system is damaged. I really don't know why this happen. I only boot to Recovery and flash the updated ROM, after that I cannot boot.
Tired of that, I tried this Android 12 ROM and wow it's amazing.
Please althafvly, can you add the Security Features that Disable the Quick Settings (Notification Bar) and Disable the Power Menu from Lockscreen???
Thanks again both developers.
Wait....
Testing on my XT1607. I'm getting "System UI isn't responding" once the pulldown menu finally loads (very laggy). One idea is this could be happening whenever the camera & flashlight options aren't working? When the camera and flashlight started working after a few reboots, the pulldown menu stopped being laggy.
The ability to connect to a Wi-Fi hidden SSID has now become fully broken in harpia with 19.1. For some reason, the initial setup wizard *can* connect to a hidden SSID, but, after that, if you ever disconnect from it, you can't connect to it ever again, nor can you ever add it fresh and connect to it. This is further deterioration of the following bug: https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/2678
Btw, I was able to get data and SMS to work, but not calling, for whatever reason.

the same thing happened to me "System UI isn't responding" once the pulldown menu finally loads (very laggy)." and after that it goes into bootloop. It looks like a good rom, but maybe the ram consumption will be less than the other rons ? | Which rom do you think has the lowest ram usage/light for the moto g4 play ?

I think there is the cornerstone

[ROM] [10.0] [UNOFFICIAL] [EOL-Feb 2023] LineageOS 17.1 [lux] [Monthly Builds]

NOTE: NO LONGER MAINTAINED SINCE THE FOLKS OVER AT LineageOS HAVEN'T UPDATED THE 17.1 SOURCE FOR SECURITY PATCHES AFTER FEBRUARY 2023. I WAITED A MONTH JUST IN CASE THEY PUSHED UPDATES A BIT LATER THAN USUAL, BUT IT HASN'T BEEN UPDATED YET. CONSIDERING THIS VERSION OF ANDROID WILL SOON BE 3 YEARS OLD, THIS FEELS LIKE THE END OF THE ROAD FOR LINEAGEOS 17.1; IT'S BEEN A GOOD RUN. SO FOR NOW, THE FEB BUILD WILL BE THE LAST AND FINAL. IF THEY END UP UPDATING IT, I'LL BUILD AGAIN AND APPEND TO THIS THREAD. I'LL KEEP THE LATEST BUILD AVAILABLE AT THE DOWNLOAD LINK BELOW AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. FOR NOW THOUGH, THANKS FOR DOWNLOADING AND ENJOY USING YOUR PHONE WHILE IT LASTS.

These builds are and will be based on source code from althafvly's previous builds. Built from source since the original dev isn't working on the ROM anymore. New builds will be posted every month, please don't ask for ETA. Working stuff, compatibility and bugs have been pasted from previous builds because I haven't changed anything except for building with the latest patches. Builds are signed.

Compatibility:
Compatible with all Moto X Play variants. (XT1562,XT1563)
Downloads:

TWRP
[Optional] Download OpenGapps or MindtheGapps
Notes regarding Gapps:
If going with OpenGApps, try to stick to lighter packages (nano and pico are recommended; anything higher than that install heavier apps like Google Now and performance WILL BE degraded a lot). I have tested with mini package. Pick arm->10.0->package version.
MindtheGapps are recommended because it'll give you what you need while being lighter, though I haven't tested with it.
[Optional] Magisk

Hello.
I'm trying to install your build of LineageOS. When installed via TWRP (twrp-3.4.0-0-lux, twrp-3.7.0_9-0-lux) at 20% it displays an error of -7. What could be the reason for this? Phone XT1562 android 7.1.1 (dual sim). The latest official build lineage-17.1-20220214-nightly-lux-signed installs without issue. Can you give a working link to TWRP 3.3.1 lux? I want to try this version of the recovery, but I can not find it anywhere.
Found and installed TWRP 3.3.1 lux. But with him the exact same situation with an error. Screenshot is attached.
I got rid of the line starting with "assert" to the next semi-colon after unpacking the firmware image in the META-INF/com/google/android directory (file named "updater-script"), packed it back into the firmware and everything was flashed without errors. Testing...

Error 7 usually means recovery is too old/new or that zip is corrupted. Download latest TWRP from https://dl.twrp.me/lux/, redownload zip and flash.
A little late but a new build is up! Check OP for link.

Thx for the updates! Its works perfect!
Installed the latest build. Everything seems to be fine (except for the fact that my battery holds very badly and sometimes turns off intermittently), but it happens that, as I understand it, the video driver crashes, at a certain point in use the image disappears, and shows only a gray backlight, it is treated by pressing the power button and waiting seconds 20-30. But I don’t understand how to fix it, or I also have a problem with the screen in addition to the battery ...
