Browser black background rendering problem - Xiaomi Mi Pad Questions & Answers

When I scroll the webpage, sometimes the background becomes black with some weird artifacts surrounding the text.
Is there any solution? Can I enable some flags via chrome:flags to solve the problem?

I have the same prob too, also the videos don't play somtimes, am on RR!

Nope. This is intractable problem with stock graphical drivers.

how to deal with screen flicker ?

Hi. i have my GS3 for a while now and i just noticed that if i am loading a page on the internet, my screen flicker on the white page till the page loads regardless of what is the brightness.
i figured my GS3 has a problem with white color " hardware issue "
so i downloaded many screen test apps that display full colors. and my screen didnt flicker displaying any.
so i came to notice my ficker only happens when the phone is busy loading something.
i tried to tick the option in the developers option for the screen overlay ? it did nothing .
can anyone help ? figure out what is the issue ? i really dont think its a hardware issue.
i tried different roms but no luck :/
+rep for helps and suggestions. ty
so ehm. am i the only one ? lol sheesh
Can't say I've noticed any screen flickering, but then I use dolphin browser.
ive noticed this the last week or so but not on the white page. Its flickering a little when i go into the bookmarks page. Dont know whats causing it, never used to happen.
Is it real flicker or more like black boxes appearing all over the screen?
If the latter, make sure neither your Cpu nor Gpu is overclocked or undervolted since the issue usually arises with Gpu calculation errors due to overheating (improbable) or voltage problems

Dude, its most likely an incompatibility issue with the custom rom ( am i right? ) you are using. I had the exact same issue with the dolphin browser on paranoidandroid rom. Just install chrome, it most likely is compatible with most of the roms out there.

Change the display timeout in setting>display>display timeout and change it.
Or, you could just keep tapping the screen to make sure it doesn't turn off as it believes you are still interacting with it.

Miravision color problems

I'm using the 5.0.2 Hermes AOSP, and I have noticed that some colours sometimes(expecially black) are turned into gray by miravision. I have tried editing the buld.prop to disable it, but it doesn't work(the option disappears but it continues to turn black into gray). Is there anything that I can do to disable it?
Open the MiraVision app and set the settings for your own

I have tried every settings but it stills keep doing that
Actually I also noticed this on stock rom... In some videos black looks kinda grayish, I always thought it was a result of the LCD technology... back-lit and contrast ratios.
I
Hey I know its been 3,5 years since that but does anybody know how to fix this? I have the biggest problem with netflix, black background looks like gray and messenger, all colors looks strange.

Anyone having issues with Firefox browser?

I'm having some screen issues with Firefox. Sometimes the bottom of the screen goes black and the tabs at the top disappear. By using split screen mode I can repair this but it does seem to come back regularly. Strangely enough I can replicate this behavior by using the volume down button (wtf?) when a video is playing on a website. It seems some kind of screen resolution thing, in Firefox it's reported as 1195x747x24 but in Chrome I see 1205x753x24.
Is anyone else having these screen issues with Firefox, and am I right in thinking that it is Firefox that somehow gets the resolution wrong and that that's the cause? Why its also related to the volume button is beyond me.

I don't know the answer, sorry, but curious if you've tried the jelly (for lineage) browser? You can find the apk by searching xda if you didn't know.
I ask about that because jelly is using the system html rendering, so it may work and be very minimalist. Aside from that, and hope u don't mind my asking, why not use apps when available? I'd expect the app for netflix etc to be able to function no issues. If not, there should be support from them. But ff not playing a video properly? not sure there's much support available for that?
Have you automatic screen resolution adjustment checked or free form mode activated (as indicated by me in that thread) via adb?
(When free form was activated I realized similar behavior in free form apps)
I found out that Firefox beta doesn't have this issue, so I presume whatever it is it'll be fixed in the next release of Firefox.
Screen issue is fixed now with the update., Firefox working the way it should now.
I presume other screen issues with video playing like people have reported with vlc will also be fixed.

Screen flickering when my notification bar is pulled down

Is anybody experiencing screen flickering when notification bar is pulled down... Is it a hardware or software issue... Please let me know as I just bought it.
I had observed same initially. It is not an issue at all. In fact, it sort of feature to reduce the white balance to save power. what worked for me are
1. Disabled the developer mode
2. Disabled the smart resolution
