I'll be glad to press the thanks button(even if it doesn't work) only if I could understand what it meant.
From Google Play:
Description
This background service allows you to light on or off your device by proximity sensor. You just cover and release the sensor by finger, to switch your device's screen on and off.
Please activates the LightLock by "Setting" > "Location & security" > "Select device admin", and remember to inactivates it before uninstall it.
Use it and watch your battery drain fast
Now why would someone want anything like that.Unless your power button stops working.
How could you dont need it if you cant boot the phone without it
Actually you can boot phone without power button if you have 2nd init, plug in charger and wait for blue led and enter bootmenu, select boot, 2nd init.

[Q] How to disable wake up by home button

Hello, i would disable wake phone by home button, last night i lost 50% of battery.. 3,5h by screen.
how i can do this?
I'm not sure it will solve your battery drain issue, unless you are unwillingly pushing the home button while sleeping but anyway try to go in the /system/usr/keylayout folder and look for the sec_key.kl file, and remove the WAKE word in the "key 102 HOME" line, then reboot.
unfortunely it won't work
im on CM11
no option anywhere in settings ? that's impossible .search and see each and every setting .. cm has ought to have it

Wake up All !

Is there any button or command for waking up all hibernated apps at once?
You can disable auto-hibernation. It is a single click.

No there isn't but this is quite of a great idea Take this as a feature request!
Sometimes need to wake apps so disabling auto hibernation is not a good choice. Maybe a long press menu action or a little button for waking will do the job

yes I do think this is a great idea but I am not thinking of waking them all, however, an interactive GUI that allows people to select which apps to wake up.
I myself have to open WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Outlook and Tapatalk manually just to have an incoming notification. Having this "wake up" button could save me time to receive those notifications and open them whenever I really have too.
@oasisfeng , would you consider this concept?

Draw Over apps

this is about pokemon go. so i try using some xposed module. so this apps required overlay. but the problem i cant toggle pokemon go to overlay an apps due to the permission is greyed out. is there any way for me to toggle it on. i already rooted my phone and was on android 6.1. any help will be great thanks
I've had this error on many apps. Only solution I've found so far is to hold the power button until the power off option come up then hold long press power off until "safe mode" option comes up. You can set permissions once in safe mode.

[root] Turn off and lock screen from shell on device (i.e. through Termux)

I've got a rooted Android 7.1 device (with LineageOS).
I want to use Termux to force the screen to immediately turn off and lock, in such a way that I can usually keep the setting "Power button instantly locks" set to false so that pressing the hardware power button will turn off the screen but not lock (except for the "Automatically lock" after 30 seconds etc).
I know there is the Device Manager API that would let an app do this - but I'd like to do it from Termux if possible (so that I don't need to make an app).
I can run this in Termux:
Code:
su -c "/system/bin/input keyevent 26
and get the screen to turn off, but since this is exactly like pressing the hardware button it will not lock unless I have the "Power button instantly locks" setting enabled.
What I'm thinking is, could I manually change the settings database to briefly enable the instant lock, then fire the key event, then turn the setting off again? Any other suggestions?
I found a reference ( groups.google.com/d/msg/android-porting/9aDv9MPWx4M/KxPHoglH7EUJ ) for changing the settings using an sqlite3 command, but I don't know which setting is instant lock would be (or if this is safe to do in newer Android versions).
Partial workaround
It doesn't solve the problem entirely, but I've found that using the "Smart Lock" feature sort of does what I want - keeping the phone unlocked when pressing the lock button.
I have set Smart Lock to enabled "On-body detection", so now while I'm holding the phone or have it on my person it won't lock when I press the lock button. I can force it to lock (and require the PIN) by first locking, then unlocking and pressing the padlock icon at the bottom of the lock screen.
This isn't quite what I wanted but comes pretty close, basically I can use the lock button to turn the screen off and can then also make my phone secure if I need it to be.
