I am new to Xperia and i found my self struggle to compose a nice picture on manual mode. Although we all know this device has an excellent camera spec!
Please share your tips as noob as possible since I'm not a full time photographer

I'm quite a newbie to Android phones and may I ask you guys for some questions?
I really love the design of Sony Xperia and I hope to get one, but I've read that the problems about sony's 'camera software' make their photos not as good as they should be. (Specifically, I'm interested in Xperia M reviewed in gsmarena.com)
So, does that means if I use third party camera software, such as Camera360 etc., I won't have to face the problems right?
For example, some say photos taken by 5-MP samsung galaxy core native camera are better than photos taken by 5-MP sony xperia M native camera. But photos taken by 5-MP samsung galaxy core camera360 are as same as photos taken by 5-MP sony xperia M camera360.
Did I undertand right?

I am using Sony Xperia Z Ultra, and want to know how to get good/best settings for best quality photo or video. Becouse my camera like suck 3mp... S3 Samsung is 8mp and taking better photo than Z Ultra :X Can someon hellp to show wich setting is best for good quality? If can, please photo.

Low light/dark: night portrait mode
I have mine set for 5 MP, with manual mode. Then using scene detection, and trying to use image stabilisation.
