Extremely low in call volume on my jaybird bluetooth wireless headphones - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions & Answers

Just wondering if anybody else is experiencing this and if there is a way to fix it.any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Bump!

Figured out that Jaybird freedoms have a problem with HD calling, got me a set of JBL wireless headphones and volume is nice and loud.

It's apparently a known issue but Jaybird seems to not want to take responsibility, so it's not likely it will be fixed (at least not anytime soon). There is a work around on the Jaybird forums, but I didn't bother with it. I was able to return mine to Best Buy and just got the IconX 2018s on a black Friday sale for $20 more.

HTC Headset Mic Not Working

Hey..basically I walked home in the rain today, using my original HTC Headset that came with my Touch HD. I got home, and a couple of hours I tried to make a call using the headset to find that although I could hear the caller, they could not hear me through the headset. All was fine once I used the handset alone, so I assume the rain has affected the microphone in my headset.
Anyone experienced this before? More importantly..anyone experienced this and managed to get their headset to work again? As is, i'm going to try and leave it over night to see if it makes a difference, and any moisture has evaporated..hopefully this will solve the problem. I will keep you all updated!
Also, does anyone know of an alternate headset with a microphone that has fairly decent sound quality..the stock HTC ones aren't all that great, and I can't use my Sennheiser HD205's as I need to microphone in a headset. Any suggestions welcome.
Many thanks in advance!
UPDATE: I've just found that the cable of the headset is damaged near the jack itself, so a replacement will be necessary...any suggestions?
there is no other headphone than bose. if u really want to listen music (at least of me) but
go for sennheiser £19 that one is made for iphone one for normal use if u dont want to pay bose.
i had headphone misery with htc touch hd and bose together,,however,
i bought this sennheiser i feel this is best for price. if u dont want to pay bose.
cheers mate! Think i'm going to go for the Sennheisers
HTC Touch ProII
I have exactly the same problem that just the mic on the headset is not working... but this was an out of the box! So I assumed that it was the headset, and bought a new one. Alas the new one didn't work either. I also bought an htc adaptor and connected a 2.5 mm mic head set and the voice came thru very quitely for a couple of seconds and then died. I don't think its the software... I updated my rom to:
ROM 1.86.401.0 (67102) WWE
And changed the Orange SPL to Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3
Any one got any ideAS?

Cheap BT Audio Receiver that works

I just figured I'd chime in and let everyone know that this Bluetooth audio receiver works with the GTablet running VegaN 5.1.1.
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/bluetooth-2-0-a2dp-avrcp-stereo-music-receiver-and-handsfree-black-8422
I don't know if anyone had chimed in about this one, so I thought I'd share.
PS: I love deal extreme.
Do the track control buttons work? This might be what I'm looking for to use as a remote with my tablet plugged into my car stereo.

Track and Volume buttons do indeed work.
Thanks! Actually just ordered one mainly for my X though when I am on the motorcycle
Does it record sound as well? I know that the G Tablet has trouble receiving sound from other bluetooth receivers.

It's capable of sending audio back to the gtablet, as it has a mic, but I haven't tested it. I wanted a means of playing music from my GTab to my receiver, without using the subpar audio jack.
I just picked up a dock and HDMI is my new favorite method for audio output.
Bought one of these a while ago when I got my Nexus One and loved it but I wanted no wires and switched to Moto S9's. Just upgraded to S10's and I'm loving them

Was also using this originally with my nexus one. The idea for me, is to embed this receiver into the dash of my car, as the optional bluetooth is a $800 module.

I picked up two. I have a similar unit that I use to listen to podcasts while in my work van. I've never tried it with my G-Tablet, but the headphone jack has been bad since I got it. I figured at that price, they are nearly disposable.

I haven't used the headphone jack in any portable electronics I've bought in years. They just aren't high enough quality to survive being plugged into. Odd, isn't it?
This is why I got the dock, so I could do music at home with HDMI, and Bluetooth is for "on the road".

Anyone having issues with their headphone jack?

Anyone having issues with their headphone jacks? I noticed on my phone that if I wiggle my headphone while in the phone a tad bit it cuts out the music. Also when using a wired headset I was having issues too.
I bought this at Radioshack, do I go to them for an exchange or to Sprint?
Take it back to RadioShack
Well I exchanged it and still having issues. Sometimes when I hook up external speakers the Evo sees it as headphones or headphones with mic. Sometimes the tracks skip by themselves. Anyone having issues?

Already Addressed.
Thanks for the information. I did a search for headphones and didn't come up with much.
There's also a longer thread, but I can't find it. There under music/audio. It's so F-ING annoying driving and looking down at my phone saying really lol

[Q] Stereo bluetooth headset

Anyone know of a good place to pick up a good Stereo bluetooth headset?
Headset
Love this one but there are many more. http://www.amazon.com/Nokia-BH-905i...121W/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1318638814&sr=8-3
Newegg. I got the Motorola ##9 in the ear for like 45.00 regularly 100.00. I also got one at Best Buy, it is made by Rocketfish for about 50.00. The Rocketfish is an on top of the ear, and I like it as well as the Motorola. These both have a hidden mic, and have great sound quality(I am not an audiophile)so that is my opinion. Motorola's are not as comfortable as the RF's, but they they are more concealed.

Sorry I guess I should have said that I am looking for a in the ear pair.
I have a pair of the s9HD's but the volume buttons stopped working after 3 months and Moto is jerking me around on replacing them so I am looking for something new.
They will mostly be used for road biking and working out.
Here is what I use.. I picked mine up at a ATT store. Love them!

If you have ear buds that you have to plugged in, why not plug them into your phone? No offense intended.
i use jaybird sportsband headset, i love it

Edit: just saw you were looking for in ear pair, but i think jaybird makes some like that too

It makes it much easier to control your phone while you're excercising for example without the cord connected to it.
At the same time the module itself also has buttons to control music and access voice commands.
Another thing is that the module also has a mic built in to work with headphones that don't.
Another +1 on the Sony MW600!

in response to my last post, here are the wireless inear headphones from jaybird, they dont plug into anything

Thanks for the reply's guys.
I have looked at the Jaybirds before and for what ever reason I do not care for them.
I am kind of digging the Sony headset and think that I may give that a try. I like that it has built in FM radio as well so I can use them in the gym to watch their TV's.
Thanks again I knew that XDA would come through for me.
Glad we could help! I think I paid 35.00 for mine... Not a big investment but turned out an excellent purchase!

most of the headphones there are crap but they seem to carry OEM nokia head phones.
I bought this model from there for $25, and it works great.
BH-503 Designer's Bluetooth Stereo Handsfree Headset (13-Hour Talk/240-Hour Standby)
Works like a charm with my S2.
I picked up one of the Sony WM600 headsets this weekend. It was on sale at the local AT&T store and with my FAN discount and taxes, the price came to less than $42.
Today is the first full day of use, but I've been using it to stream music and podcasts and one 15 minute phone call all morning long. About 4 hours on it so far and the battery meter hasn't budged. Range is decent - I've wondered off about 20 feet with no loss of audio. Radio works better than I thought at pulling in relatively weak signals.
One complaint - the call/hangup button is positioned in such a way that when you grab it to release the clip (like you would to re-position it) you end up pressing the button.
One oddity - when you press the call/hangup button, it seems to sometimes loose it's connection to the music stream and can take a few on/off bluetooth toggles to get it to reconnect.
So far I really like it. The display is nice and passes on caller ID information. It's very small and from what I can tell so far, the battery life will be decent.

in search of the perfect bluetooth headphones

I am in search for a good bluetooth headset to my Gear S. I came across the "SMS Audio Sync by 50 Wireless".
I have contacted the support which told me that that a headset hands-free communication has.
they told me that i have to note that this mic has MFI controls!?
What is MFI controls? This is an Apple standard?
has anyone tested the "SMS AUDIO SYNC IN EAR HEADSET"?
Does the phone with the gear s?
what can you recommend for bluetooth headsets?
yours sincerely

I have the bose over the ear bluetooth headset abs love then. I just ordered the LG tone infinum I think it's called to try then out with the watch.
Keep us posted with your experience of the LG Tones as i plan to buy them in a couple of weeks.
I use Logitech H800 and they work great for how cheap you can get them. I've had them for almost 2 years now, which is probably my longest relationship with a pair of headphones.

I Read a lot about Bluebuds, i read that a lot people have problems with the battery...headset cant activated when the battery was fully Empty, the other point is the strange beep when change volume

I use the Motorola Buds, good for music and built in mic for calls.
I use LG HBS Tone Plus. Would have gotten the Infinim, but the reviews I read were not too favorable in comparison to the Tone Plus.
I love that they are very flexible and light-weight, I can run with them without them bouncing up and down, I can control music and audiobooks (play/pause/ff/rw), as well as phone calls (answer/hang up/ volume up/down) from the buttons on the right and left side of them.
I also love that they tell me the battery status when I turn them on, and that they let me know they are running out of juice "Battery very low. Recharge now."
I use them for my Note 2 and Gear S simultaneously, which is nice.
The best part about them is that the earbuds are kept in place with magnets, and I can have one earbud in my ear, and the other one left in it's little magnetic cradle, so I can hear my surroundings.
If you can't tell, I am totally in love with my Tone Plus. They have survived daily sweaty runs, rain, snow, Off Deepwoods, steam... If you are a runner, get them. If you aren't, get them anyway.
Bluebuds X are amazing and great battery life.

+1 for JayBird Bluebuds X.
I'm not sure how common the battery issue is, but the problem could stem from improper charging. The earphones are quite small and trying to charge them using an adapter that is suited for a Cellphone or tablet may put too much strain on the battery. This is an issue for all batteries if you're using improper charging adapters... battery life will ultimately suffer greatly. It's best to charge these earphones with something that outputs a small amount of charge... the smaller the charge, the better it'll be for the battery. Something like a USB jack from your laptop/computer or ones commonly found in vehicles today are suitable and shouldn't cause any harm. Regardless of this issue, JayBird will gladly replace the earphones just as they have for those that have had this issue before.
Other than the battery issue, another common concern has been with the earphone tips. Some say they don't hold well inside the ear and don't block out outside noise well either. I personally never used them beyond just trying them on for the first time when I got my Bluebuds so I can't confirm this, but I highly recommend pairing the Bluebuds with some foam tips from Comply... They are recommended many times over by other Bluebuds owners and I personally find them to be amazing.
Beyond the concerns, the Bluebuds have excellent sound quality and are known for having a perfect amount of bass. They're absolutely great for working out and I love how they fit. I don't ever really use them to make voice calls, but I recommend not wearing them in the configuration where the cable goes over the ear and the mic is located behind your head... It doesn't work well for voice calls obviously lol. Wearing them any other way is no different than your common hands-free earphones.

I have LG Tone Infinim too, but I don't know about you but while it pairs flawlessly with my LG G3 it doesn't want to pair with my LG G Pad (tablet) 10.1, when scanning for a bluetooth device on my phone it it finds it correctly by it's product name but on my tablet same process produces a device named "Misc" but when attempting to pair it it fails! I had high hopes for LG Tone Infinim but when it fails in something like this I doubt it's quality!

I would quicker blame the tablet then the headphones. I have it paired to my Mac, S6 Edge and windows 8.1 all without a problem. While I have occasionally had call quality issues, they are rare enough that it doesn't bother me so much.
I'm using two, one is Sony MDR-1RBT, second is Plantronics Backbeat Fit. Both with from my point of view excellent battery life time. The Sony should have up to 30h, can't confirm it in detail, but I'm happy with battery life. Sound is for me fine. To get plantronics at the end to was because Sony looks a bit heavy when I use it on the road.
I use plantronics beats 2, and they are really good..
