Thank you for the ROM, all works fine. But is it last release for our tablet, or there is a small chance for android Oreo, knowing that Sony won't ever release Oreo aosp source?

thank you for doing this!

Hallo Folks .....
I use now any Time LineageOS 14.1 on Xperia Z4 Tablet in the "Unofficial" Version. I like LineageOS.
I have there a Question.
I will flash to the "OFFICIAL VERSION".
Can i flash the "Official" Version over the ""Unofficial" Version or must i make new Full-Installation from Android 7.1.2 ?
Thanks .....

I found that I needed to get an unlock code before fastboot would work and my device is not a LTE version, it's wifi only sp712
to get the unlock code you need to give them an imei code, and I did not have this and doesn't really make sense to me being a wifi only device. I found a code that worked with the following steps:
Settings
About tablet
Diagnostics
I used the product ID that is listed there

Just bought my Z4 LTE tablet yesterday, and thinking of rooting and getting rid of bloat.
Anyways, I wonder if there are any apparent bugs with this rom at the moment?
I also wonder if I will loose all Sony stuff like STAMINA mode and so on?
Sent from my SGP771 using Tapatalk

aptx supported?
Anyone able to confirm that aptx is supported in this rom ?

Been using LOS a while on Karin (WiFi) and everything works. Sony cameras can be missing some image processing from the stock firmware but who uses a 10.1 inch tablet for photography?
No bugs that I notice. I have the keyboard and it's all working, no crashes and no missing features that I've noticed.
Stamina mode is replaced by the LOS battery saver feature which is more customisable.

I have noticed that when you are using wifi it runs hot.
I am using the latest Night.
Maybe i am the only one having this issue?

Ok! Sound good. What about that color enriching feature for display? Does LOS have something similar like Stockrom?
And is it possible to revert back to stock rom like on a Samsung Device? Just flash stock rom via Odin?

Colour filters? I think that would be in your video playback software usually. Can't say I ever used them, I prefer a neutral colour balance.
Reverting is possible but you need to extract the partition containing DRM keys (TA partition) if you want a 100% stock revert to be possible afterwards. DRM is used not just for video playback but also for camera & video processing for some dumb reason. I have the Z3 and Z4 tablet and LOS has been good enough on both and provided me with more regular updates and security fixes so I haven't missed stock.

Hallo All ...
Has anyone already tested the Xposed Framework works with Official LineageOS 14.1 ?

Xposed works

@torben5247
Thanks dear, for your fast Answer.
It work´s, very perfectly.
The first Time for me.
And today it give´s a new LineageOS Nightly Build.
I will test it tomorrow.
LineageOS - I find, the "BEST" Android System for my Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet (SGP771) what it gives.
And a Tip for other User - when you have the "Unofficial" Version from LineageOS, make a Upgrade to the "Official".
I have do this, and no Problems. By me works it very fine. No Problems.
Xposed Framework work the same´st very fine.

Hello, I'm asking myself a question, I already made a thread for this rom and you point to the same sources as me, the official LineageOS repos that we made (you can take a look at the commit log of this official repo), and even to the recovery I build in my androidfilehost account. So, what is the difference?

Me too. Only difference seems to be the usual cyanogenmod copy-and-paste disclaimer. Suggest we close this newer thread and point to the original thread.

Quick question: Even this is a rooted ROM why I'm getting this???
"Rooted, but can not grant write access, please check your NAND unlocked"
Any help? Thanks!

It works just fine! I used your ROM, Opengapps pico and M kernel! My /data parition didn't get corrupted after reboot either (happened with other LP roms :/). Feels very fast! My only request is that you add the AOSP Lolipop Music player. Apart from that, awesome ROM! Very happy

I will work on adding the music player in a future update glad it worked for you.
Layers also works perfectly! Playing music while installing apps and browsing is also flawless. I like the lower DPI (things are smaller so screen seems bigger) like other Slimroms. Amazing ROM. The browser is also very fast.
yea, works great thanks for that! will give more feedback in the next days (if neccessary).
Will there be a SlimMarsh update?
for those more experimental guys, the plain kernel of desolation rom also works on this rom. you can grab it here

Hello,
Yesterday I flashed nightly 12/02. Battery drains 5% per hour during night with no usage. I had the same experience with cherry 06/02 Rom. With Surdu's Rom 07/02 battery lasted for almost 4 days normal usage. I use TWRP 2.8.7.0 from surdu.

After I flashed the latest nightly with full wipes including internal SD, only 1 core is working. But if I have Location/Mode/High accuracy then again 3 or 4 cores are working. Switching to Only device corrects it.

I don't think you're able to port a functional kernel for your device, because you can't even deal with build errors.

The build is only an experimental build. Please DO NOT flash over cm-13.0. A wipe is necessary!
I'd like to get some feedback from you guys on bugs and other failures. Recording videos with our stock camera app currently doesn't work.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (GApps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.
NOTICE
For LineageOS 15 it's required that stock Android 5.0 or later was running on your device!

It begins!
oh thanks! I am compiling my LineageOS right now
keep it up!
//edit
I flashed it on my own phone and it felt a little heart-attack on the beginning of the boot. After the LG logo disappeared it showed black screen. I really didn't know what does it mean but it get to the bootanimation quickly. It got stuck in resetloop(?) - it kept resetting until it died. I kept on powering it up until it finally boots but it only showed System UI has crashed and died one more time. I thought it may be an issue related to GApps so I tried to boot it up without them. This ended up with failure as well. Any time I try to launch the system, it just crashes. Not to mention that I couldn't flash it without removing the first line in the updater-script just to flash it.
Completely disappointed, I thought this could be a revolution to G3. Keep it up, but don't release not working ROMs.
(Removing SIM card and SDCard didn't help obviously)
finally ... wi-fi don;t work
+
I recognize the work of a dev to bring a new rom, in this case the first rom oreo for D855, but I do not know to what extent it makes sense to "publish" a rom with so many limitations (really what works is minimal).
Okay, it warns of what does not work, but, if WiFi does not work, Bluetooth, GPS, mobile data ... what is there to try? ...
I insist, my respect for the work done, but ...
Please close this..

Because it has an Exynos processor.
Thanks Davidmueller for continuing support to our
Note 10.1 2014 LTE.
Mine is a T-Mobile US P-607T and so far has been compatible with all P605 builds.
Would this work on the 2012 edition?

thank u, will try
Install on my 607, installed ok, gapps installed ok, but there seems to be an issue with the wifi.
I'm unable to see my AP. Other devices connect just fine. I don't use the 4g/LTE sim slot.
*UPDATE 1*
The SSID is not broadcasting, it can see other networks/connect that ARE broadcasting the SSID
*UPDATE 2*
Google is being dumb. I found an additional setting for when adding a hidden wifi network.
