Can't Update my moto z from nougat 7.0 to nougat 7.1.1 & Old Security patch level - Moto Z Questions & Answers

hey everyone,
i have an odd problem with my moto z . as i mentiond in title i didn't get any updates so i can't get nougat 7.1.1 and my security level patch i kinda too old as you will see in photos
i have tried doing both soft reset -reset factory setting- and a hard reset but nothing changes still unable to get any updates nether security updates of android updates
here is my phone channel and build version and security level and other stuff in this photo

Try remove SIM Card, reboot and search for Updates in Your WLAN/WiFi witout a SIM Card.

Tou can use this tool https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/development/tool-motorola-ota-link-generator-tool-t3537039 to download the OTA's to your computer, then use adb sideload on Motorola's Recovery (OEM) to manually update, no need to root or unlock bootloader if you stick with oficial updates.
I just did something similar on my Z, here is overall the path, version wise

Hey, I am on the same channel, you can follow these version numbers and get the OTA's from the first link to sideload them, it should be safe, just understand what you're doing and go at it one by one, restarting in between.

New (sorta) rom: 325 Retail

After getting a 325 system dump i've managed to find the 325 update pkg
Here it is for anyone that wishes to remain on 2.2.2, it's the newest known 3xx rom for the venue, it's about comparable in age to the S5 360 rom so if you've used that expect about the same thing

Edit: 325 is running great for me.

Why do latest Android Security Update firmwares have old file dates?

I am confused about something that I think should be simple:
Monthly Android Security Updates
I apparently have to install these manually, since OTA updates fail supposedly because I run a rooted phone w/ custom bootloader/recovery.
Google has been making it a point to release security patches every month:
http://source.android.com/security/bulletin/index.html
March 2016's is here:
http://source.android.com/security/bulletin/2016-03-01.html
On that page they say:
"The Nexus firmware images have also been released to the Google Developer site.", with a link to:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
I download firmware for my Nexus5 Hammerhead MMB29K:
https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/hammerhead-mmb29k-factory-1943f0f5.tgz
I unzip that file and list the contents:
Code:
Pvs-MacBook-Pro:hammerhead-mmb29k pv$ ls -la
total 1218408
[email protected] 8 pv staff 272 Nov 18 15:44 .

So, my question is:
Why does Google say that the March 2016 Security Updates Nexus devices are available for download, but the files themselves are dated November 2015?
This begs more questions:
Are the March 2016 Android Security Patch Levels really in the 6.0.1 November 2015 dated files?
If not, then why does Google say that I can get the March 2016 updates for my Nexus 5 from the firmware download page?
How do I non-OTA update my Nexus5 to the latest Security Patch?
Thanks!
Pv
Ping! Seriously, no one bites on this one?
I'll answer my own question: The answer is even lamer than I thought.
The download link that the monthly security bulletin(s) point you to is a download to the original [aka: "old"] system image.
As I pointed out, the March [now April] 2016 link for a recent Security Update for my Nexus 5 sends me to the download for the November Nexus 5 System Image.
I install that image, and soon after booting it prompts me to install the January 2016 Security Update.
Here is where it gets lame...
Soon after rebooting after the January 2016 SU it prompts me to install the February 2016 SU.
Soon after rebooting after the February 2016 SU it prompts me to install the March 2016 SU.
Soon after rebooting after the March 2016 SU it prompts me to install the April 2016 SU.
I'm seeing a [lame] pattern here.
How annoying!
Can't they just update the system image w/ the latest Security Update?
Or, provide me with a SU with all of the previous SUs?
I repeat: Lame!

If I have updated the device to the latest stock ROM available via OTA, the baseband should have been already updated, right?
Thank you.
Please have a look under Settings --> about device --> baseband version. Depending on your carrierer and country the newest baseband is not always provided.
New modem added and all modems made flashable via TWRP.
would you please provide that for the t580 as well or is it the same?
As far as I know the 580 has no SIM card and therefore no modem to update. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Confirm! Flashed TWRP-Flashable-Modem_T585XXU3BRF1_21.06.2018 without any Problem.
Thanks...
New Modem T585XXU4BRI1 added.
New modem T585XXU4CRJA & stock rom mirror for OREO added.
Thanks for the link to 8.1 I think that we'll need Odin3_v3.13.1 to install this firmware though. Haven't tried with lower version yet but with the LZ4 files inside the firmware won't work without the Odin3_v3.13.1 . About to install the firmware. btw where is the link for the proper twrp? I have the 3.2.3 one from Valera1978 that I hope will work.
Edit: confirming that the latest odin will install 8.1 fine....
Dezember Stock Update added.
TWRP on Galaxy Tab 10.1 (T585) with Oreo 8.1
Then I've tried
twrp_3.2.3-1_sm-t585_29918 which gives only stripes when booting into recovery
Do I have to flash the stock boot/recovery before flashing this one,
or this is broken, as well.
Many thanks for a hint,
Helmut

Is there a reason that you link to an old firmware with a build date from November 2018 when there is a build from February 2019 with a more up to date Securty Patch Level? It really doesn't matter for which country / carrier the rom was build you can always install and use it.

Corrupted stock rom archive?
I tried to unpack the stock rom with WinRar or WinZip but could not extract the archive.
WinRar: "The archive is corrupt" (CRC failed in AP and HOME_CSC).
WinZip: "Data error" in AP and HOME_CSC files.
I even downloaded twice, just to make sure that it didn't went wrong in the process.
Am I doing something wrong or the archive is damaged?

You did nothing wrong! A faulty network card of mine currupted the upload and therefore the file was damaged. I did a reupload so please try again.

Huawei Y6P Custom Rom?

Probably it will not be possible, this starts with the fact that an unlock of the bootloader might not work. At least I don't know how yet. adb reboot bootloader - Phone locked and I have no idea how to get the unlock key.

Hi, have you tried this method? The update package contains only update.zip file . I tried to flash your update via HuRupdater, but after successfully flashing my phone stay on previous build number - 8.0.0.321, imo due to missing hw and data files.
But maybe I'm wrong
I've already tried and using it.
It's ok. Firmware version is store in oeminfo partition and it's not be updated.
