Hey, first of all i would like to apologise if this is posted in the wrong section, its my first post and even though i have used XDA many many time, i have never really caught onto the posting side of it!
I recently obtained a Xperia Ray of a friend and it was running gingerbread, so first of all i updated to 4.0.4A and rooted my device, and then i installed busybox ect, then after looking at the service on the phone (*#*#7378423#*#*) i found out that my bootloader was Unlockable.
as i wished to install a custom ROM, i have been looking at custom ROM's for LockedBL's and then of course to install half of them i have had to install CWM but this is where my problem begins! i have not been able to successfully install CWM via various methods, including the X-Parts App, Xrecovery PC Application, can anybody help me?

I can't help you with your problem, but if your phone is built before 2012 week 11 (if I remember correctly) you can unlock it using the wotan service, despite the non unlockable status. You can check the build date on the sticker, below the battery.

Hi all,
I have bought a ZTE A880 phone. unfortunately, google play is not installed, and when i try to install it, google play store instantly closes.
I have tried almost all rooting tools on the net, but none succesfull.
Do you guys know if there is an english/european ROM for this phone? My hope is that maybe google isnt blocked, if there is such a version.

This is my first post on this forum because I really need some help. Usually, I will research anything that troubles me on my own without any help, but with this one, I just could not find anything on the web.
Recently, the release of the Samsung Tab S2 has come to China. I purchased one and now I am using in Canada. There is one big problem : I cannot access any google services such as Google Play Store. I decided that I will root my device, then install the apk. Without success, I am here to ask you guys how do we install Google Play Store on a rooted Samsung Tab S2 from China ? My device is rooted and I have ES File Explorer installed. All I need is the apks and what I should do.

I used to read your threads whenever I need any help regarding root or jailbreak phones. Now I got a tablet from Indonesia, which seems to be Samsung but I think it's Chinese because it don't have Google services such as playstore etc, now I want to install GAPPS in it(i have tried to install apk of gapps but it didn't worked), as it is so much difficult to install apks for my nephew who use this tablet. I would like to have complete procedure to unlock it, root it , install recovery and custom rom if it is needed. I'm going to share some pictures of this tablet which might help to identify it.

recently I bought this very good outdoor-phone and now I want to root it.
There are some tutorials in the WWW to do this, but there all fakes, I think.
Is there anyone here, who has successfully rooted this device itself?

I have a BV9800 pro and was able to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and root it. It was a challenge, but the first question would be have you unlocked the bootloader? If not, remember to backup everything you don't want to erase when it factory resets you.
