I just got a 2nd hand phone samsung galaxy j1 and i decided to factory reset it so I can set the phone up from the start... But Im not aware that the combinations of button I just pressed (hard reset power button + volume down + home) is odin mode or downloading mode. So the time downloading mode appears on the screen I panicked and choose to remove the battery and does hard reset again the correct way.. But after that, my phone doesnt function normally.. Its like a system unit without drivers installed. I have no idea bout this. Also, before all of these.. I also uninstalled "SuperUser" app bcoz i dont have any idea what's that about. And then it started appearing on my screen "SuperUser has stopped working.." Or something like that.. Can someone please help me pls? Advices? Troubleshoot? What to do guys? Badly need ur help... Hi! As all of you can see, I'm a desperate noob! I've accidentaly selected Reboot recovery in the CWM advanced options and now my SGS2 is stuck on a screen with some kind os counting numbers going on for abou half an hour and nothing happens... I've searched and I found tha my phone was supposed to simply reboot in recovery mode... So what's going on? Can I cancel this process somehow?

Are you sure you rebooted recovery? Sounds more like you rebooted to download mode.
Try taking out the battery, putting it back in, push vol up+ home button + power for a couple seconds to get back into CWM.

you guys probably might know this message.ya..as they said,i try press the volume down button first..but nothing happened..and when press volume up button also,nothing just happened.when i pressed power button,the screen blackout for a while then show the warning message again....it just stucked here already!!!!!i try taking out battery and put again.but no use..just the warning message..so i did some research on internet and i could went into recovery mode..and there 4 options available there:
1.reboot(it just went back to warning mode)..
2.apply update from sd card(and there is another problem.i can't go down even i pressed volume down button!!!!but it takes around 15mins to go down!!!WTF>?)

PROBLEM???
1) I have an GT I9000G Galaxy SII wid official stock gingerbread for India
2) I was listening to music then suddenly... the phone rebooted itself and displayed the green android logo saying POWER RESET or UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE
3) now the phone wont turn on despite pressing power button and cant enter into recovery or download mode...
what i have done so far....
1) take out sim... sdcard... battery...
2) connect GSII to laptop with odin 1.8x running
3) put battery back on while pressing both vol up n down button

Not Vol up and down!!!! Vol down + home button and power button. This is For download Mode....
power off the phone.
hold the volume down+home+power button. this will boot u into download mode.

c'mon guys... dont tell me you thought i dont know how to enter the download mode.... what u are suggesting is for normal phones (vol down+home+power)... if u read my problem once again u will know that my phone is not turning on at all... nomatter how long i press the power button (battery is fully charged) and there was a strange msg "power reset or unknown upload mode" with green android robot in the screen before all this started!!! so if u have any idea abt how to fix this... do comment... although im considering sending back my s2 to samsung service center... anyways thankx

i took my phone to samsung service center and apparently there was a problem with motherboard... solution: changing motherboard im posting this to help others who might have this type of problem in future :fingers-crossed:

I had the same thing happening to me too.All i did was pushing the volume down+power+home button and it appeared a warning of OS. It says volume up for download mode or volume down for normal restart.When i choose normal restart it turns back to the way it was before.Thank God
hi guys... im gonna kill my self.. i tried wveruthing and my phone doest work.. one day my phone turn off and when i tried to turn on didnt start properly. Only show me samsung galaxy s2 then siyahkernel and thast all. it is very strange. So i tried to put in recovery mode but i cant. only in download mode but only when i connect the phone with the computer. Then i install many rom(stock, custom) succesfully but the phone is still the same like i never install any rom. So i went to SAT but i live in argentina and they couldnt help me... thats kind of funny.. they must repair the phone because is SAT .. but they didnt. so.. i dont know waht to do. should i try a jig ? i read somewhere that it could be that sd internal is broken? i hope u can help me
We need a lot more info. What did you flash, how did you flash it. Where did you get the firmware. I ask the last question because according to your profile, you just created this account today. Which tells me you got the firmware elsewhere.

How did you try to enter the Recovery mode?

well.. i download a stock rom in a post of this forum.. then i flash with odin.. pda and then i tried with pda and pit but nothing.. its like i didnt install it.
Recovery mode --> volume up + volume down + power button. when show me samsung galaxy i keep holding and in the second boot stay in that screen of samsung and when i connect in pc the second boot the screen is black and the touch key flick

To boot into recovery you want to release the buttons by the second Samsung logo pop-up. And don't plug into computer. That's for download mode.
Regardless, I don't see recovery being much help to you if Odin is not working for you.
Is odin showing that its successfully flashing your phone? After flashing back to stock with Odin, is the siyah logo at least gone?

Yes, but you need to describe everything you did and everything that happened to make you want to flash back to stock. Without knowing what caused the problem in the first place, we can't help you very much. You say you installed many roms (stock, custom). Your phone probably did not fail randomly. There is probably some event or circumstance you can think of, or change you made, just before it failed. Please be specific.

Hold the Vol+/- & PWR button at the same time, when seeing first boot, keep holding all 3, when past 2nd boot screen, release all 3.
There's no PC involved.
welll the phone was perfectly when one day pum ! turn off and then i cant boot normally. So i try to put in recovery mode and i hold volume upvolume down+power and in the second boot when i see the samsung logo i release and nothing happend. and i see only the samsung galax logo bla bla.. when i turn on the phone normally i can see the samsung logo then de siyah kernel and stack there. if i wait some minutes its restart and do it again. I try to install with odin some stock rom and pass perfectly but the phone still show me the same. its like i didnt change anything. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i dont know if u understand me jajjaaj my english is not very good lol im gonna cry

today i have hard reset a Galaxy S3, but after it reboot it get stuck on optimizing apps, the loading icon not frozen but waited long time and always the same optimizing apps screen.
things i have noticed; the battery drain so fast
i can't enter the factory mode or download mode.

i am not sure if they work! and now i can't determine that
the usb port is no longer working, i don't know where is the problem
the phone hat the original rom

update: the home button doesn't work, so i guess the problem can be solved only if o repair the home button
yes like i said the problem was from the home button
