I finally found an exploit that rooted this phone. I can pull the stock rom off for you, but I have to figure out how to do it again. I have to read the manual again.
If you have any hints on how to do it correctly, I'm open.

hey buddy did you get any firmware for this as yet i need it myself also

Fuego firmware
I don't have that phone anymore. I sold it to a buddy and he dropped it into oblivion.
I'm pretty sure that I'm going to leave Android behind and move to Tizen.
What's Tizen you might ask? It's a linux based OS that is meant for small embedded devices like phones or TV's... They really emphasize TV's because the Tizen project is backed by Samsung and they are going to start putting it on all of their TV's.... It works on phones too with an array of processors.... Instead of using Java in a virtual machine to make/run apps, it uses a native HTML5 interpreter. HTML5 is open, and a standard... "Java" is owned by Sun Microsystems and is not open. fsck Google and Sun and Android.... I'm moving to the new way to make your phone operate all neat and "free"... I'm moving to Tizen.
Search the googs for Tizen and you will come up with it because I can't post links yet.
I"m pretty sure that I saw a bunch of tools that help you in stall Tizen and forget about the hassle of "rooting" your phone, or dealing with that locked bootloader nonsense, or (dare I say, though I cannot confirm) that the whole "sim/carrier lock" that keeps you with that crapola cell provider is a non issue when the community writes the cell software and not some greedy corporation. I can't be sure, but I'm pretty sure that Tizen can boot your phone to an SD card and ignore all the proprietary crap that the T mobiles and ATT's of the world use to force their "service" down your throat.
"Android" used to sound cool, but it has been replaced by a free/open OS who's name sounds like some bad-ass general from the ancient orient.... Hail Tizen!!
PS Tizen is part of the Linux foundation.

Porting Android to Sony Ericsson Satio?

Hi, does any one know if it has been done or is possible to port Android to the Satio?
I have seen video of Android working on a K or W series phone.
Cheers,
Tichy
It's impossible now. There isn't any program to run linux in symbian phones.
android on vivaz
Damn, I want to try to port android to vivaz, I heard somewhere that it is possible to put the x10 userinterface, on both the satio and the vivaz.
And that by using the sony skd. Maybe we can manage to port android with the help of this sdk thing.

i hope....Android on Vivaz is fantastic!
i would love to see this happen because the OS that the Satio runs on is to out of date.
It would bring an old phone up to date!
The post dates in this thread are so scattered, it doesn't even seem worth apologising for bringing up an old thread.

How can you even post here for this?! You should be on the phone to SonyEricsson harassing them to update their ****ty arse phone which isn't even a year old now...
I had a satio but I switched to iPhone when I realised that their "attempt" at an app store: PlayNow had about two apps worth downloading. To get any use from the phone even remotely like Android/iPhone you need to root it, and why the hell did they release the phone with Symbian when Android was already out?!
The least they can do now is develop an Android port for this phone, considering it's still the most powerful phone camera-wise thus far.
Still impossible to port Android to Satio ? Because only one Android phone has Xenon flash that is really usfull during night party Thanks
A little bump doesn't seem inappropriate. Is there any more news regarding this topic? I would love to see some android on my Satio, "luckily" I have a X10 right now. But a Satio with android running on it would make it a perfect backup phone for me.
any luck yet? seem a few tutorials about on how to install android on nokia n8 and couple of others but none these methods work on vivaz due to the os being that old. has anyone tried flashing the vivaz with x10 gdfs? that should make seus recognise it as a x10 and install x10's android on it in theory

the only thing you will get doing that its a bricked phone, and you cannot trick the seus so easily
So any progress? I like Satio, but with Android....
Is anyone working on this question?
I would be very pappy if it is possible. Basicaly it is a good phone with bad OS.
At the moment my satio is waiting in the drawer for android.
Guys, move on. It is not going to happen. EVER.
There are no drivers for the Satio hardware and unless someone has the brain, time, willingness, means to write them from scratch, you're out of luck and better off getting a new Android phone.

NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER
:silly:
No point asking
But I do wonder if there is any os update available as all my other phones have either exploded caught fire or bent so are in the untrusty fingers of EVIL Sony, anyone thinks of getting a Sony be warned they take no responsibility for selling faulty goods and dont like to give you your warranty.

Well, it can be used as a secondary display ! You can use it to mirror the screen of windows device over the Android powered tablets . For guide on how to why don't you try seeing the post over by the tech hive it will help you in guidling how can you mirror the Android device screen by using some simple tricks. What you are going to require is an Android application, Android powered tablet running JellyBean or higher version, Window7 or higher version of OS, and both of the devices should be connected to the same network. Thanks for this information about using android devices as secondary displays. I knew exactly where to come for the best information. I've read elsewhere on the Internet that this can cause the android device to freeze up and other problems, but when executed correctly, it can be quite useful. Does anyone have first-hand experience with this?
Grateful
Before I dive into this I'd like to thank you. The fact that someone like yourself would take time out to help out a dummies like myself. I don't know if any of this applies to a Note 5 or Galaxy Tab A ,but trying to mirror either one of those is a friggin joke,it's like Vegas odd's if it will work!
Hopefully I can help someone
else out down the road.
I've actually stayed away from your site for quite a while. The last time I was on it the person I was trying to get ask a question apparently didn't like my level of "tech intelligence",he scared me,lol. So it's nice to have you answer something that I've been afraid to ask and embarrass myself for long time ,this is really good stuff,
so alot thanks,...jl...

I honestly deon't believe that anybody has taken the time to configure a 6.0 rom for this phone. I had plans to get some compiling done myself for it but hadn't got around to it yet. i hopefully will be looking into it within the next few weeks, after i port either cwm or twrp to the Phablet.
Really?
Sweet! Definitely keep me posted on that I would love to see some progress on this for sure. Being that the blu studio 7.0 II is still fairly a new device I would of thought someone would of developed something by now. I guess no one really cares because it ain't a SAMSUNG. lol

Perhaps I can help you. I have compiled android from source one before but I didn't do anything to the code, just issued "make" and waited. I really didn't explore the code. I would like to understand the different parts in an android build and understand where device specific information goes. That said, I am by no means green. I veteran of bash and vi from the "build your own kernel" Slackware era and more embarrassing relics before that. So, if you can use the help, just outline the process you follow as it would likely be the same for other devices. Flowchart it and assign squares to me. Then I could learn how it all fits together. If there is anything at all I can do to contribute, please let me know. I was considering a Blue Studio 7, but I want to learn regardless of what I might get.
Thanks
Really looking forward to this. Being that this device is starting to slow down on me extremely, I think a marshmallow update would straighten this phone out.

i looked here but could not find
http://www.blu-dev.com/
or
http://support.moulnisky.com/index.php?dir=Blu/
or
http://www.needrom.com/category/othe...d/blu-a-b-c-d/
or
http://tttony.blogspot.com.br/2014/1...s-blu.html?m=1
only other option is this
(need to register and pay-maybe for a month access and initial download limit sufficient for one device-need correct drivers and flash tools)
http://clangsm.com/ftpdemo/index.php?dir=Flashes/BLU/
similar thing happened with me recently on BLU Studio 7 LTE version (stuck on BLU Android start screen)
did factory reset did not work
ended up returning to vendor (BLU support had only factory reset as option and advised item was under warranty so told me to send it back)
have a new one now...planning to extract system and system dump (do not want similar situation again or pay a 1/3 cost for the rom zip) (not sure if possible but will try; know it can be rooted)
works great though

Any progress been made on this? I'd love to install a custom MM rom on my Blu Studio 7.0 LTE. Thanks for all you're doing!
+1 on this. I have a Studio 7 LTE in the mail and would love to be able to upgrade it somehow. I'm not quite technical enough to make a ROM but I am highly technically inclined if I can help in any way.
It says here that the studio 7 devices are getting Nougat. Anyone think there is any truth to it? I tweeted Blu and asked them if it was going to happen but haven't heard back yet. Kinda skeptical
I just received this reply from when I asked if this phone will get nougat
my blu phone
how can i update it to marshmallow!please help! thank you!
Thanks guys! This effort is greatly appreciated, and it looks like we will need to DIY a build for the Blu phones. I am in a similar bind as the rest of you. My company decided to cheap out on test devices (I pushed for the also inexpensive Nexus varieties), rather than go the normal route of using an emulator. I am a Project Manager by trade, and I have programming experience (primarily web with various PHP frameworks). My previous/current secondary test device was a rooted Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running an international version of DU with TWRP. If we have any traction, l am happy to assist, and I love learning new things. On my agenda right now is giving myself a crash course on Android Studio and its associated MVC to start my own project in case this one loses traction.
Find it rather odd, this device is still on 5.0 and king root or kingo root can not root it. Am I missing something or is BLU bootloader just as robust as Samsung??

Android wear Pokemon Go Plus emulator

Hello,
I'm not entirely sure if this is possible. If you have a rooted gear 2 with Android wear, if someone could create an app that emulates the wearable for Pokemon Go. I currently don't have the wearable, but was curious if someone that did get the chance to get one could figure this out. I've looked around on Google and searched here quite a bit, but maybe I'm not looking for the right thing.
Thank you!
HI Tricil:
I thought of the same concept which led me to this thread.
I think that Developers out there could link up our wearables with the pokemon GO easily.....(Learning android development currently) and i am sure some are even working on it .
Keep patience and hope!!!
-thecoolster
I don't know if this sounds weird, but it would be nice if the app also were compatible with smartphones too. So I could use it in one my old devices without using my main device battery :3

root zte z798bl?

Any luck yet?
Also interested if anything has come on this device. Seems like a fairly decent phone for the price ($28.99 - Walmart family mobile) but could definitely use a bloatware lesson lol. If it helps at all I unlocked Developer Options (via the usual way) and it has an option to unlock bootloader...can anyone tell me what happens if I do that...lol before I do that?
Thanks in advance for any tips\tricks anyone can share;

Does anyone know what has become of this?
root
ive rooted phones before but there is no rom available for the z798bl.
I have two of these phones and too much free time.
How can i copy the rom to an sdtcard?
Then i guess id need the android equivlent of Interactive Disassembler Pro to make a rooted rom.
IM new at this, Someone Please Tell Me What needs to be done!
I think the problem is as follows:
There is NO stock ROM for the z798bl available on the web
'
I need to root this ***** because wifihotspot sharing is disabled.
Factors:
Marshmallow 6.0.1 with certain service providers BLOCKS data so:
If you have one z798bl with unlimited data
and another z798bl with no data plan
mMking a hotspot to connect the two phones is Blatantly Broken
Just keeping the rom it has, has anyone ever got root privileges on the Z798BL?

I haven't found anything at all either...then my Laptop took a sh*t on my so I've pretty much tabled it for now but as soon as I can I'm going to go ahead and try my best to make a shiny paper weight brick out of a new one...it's $24.88 at Walmart now so if it works then sweet, if not.../shrug...I've wasted more money on way worse things than that in me life lol. As for putting together your own ROM...I'd say go for it...I'm not quite confident enough with the little bit of experience I have so far to try that but if you do I will help any way I can...You might go look at Googles downloads site...you can download Android sdk Suite for developers onto your PC for free...I think its focused on App Development mainly but it comes with a bunch of other cool stuff too, including a virtual phone that is an Android emulator for testing out your experiments. Didn't mean to write a book here lol but please keep me in the loop and I'll return the favor. ✌
